A worthy remake of a great FPS for consoles.

As an action game it's fantastic, especially the well integrated "Blade Mode" in which the protagonist Raiden can precision cut his foes. The script is kind of lacking though, and environments are often reused. Fantastic, but not perfect.

An action roleyplaying game that qualifies in the top of the food chain for PSP. With few exceptions the sound and graphics are great. On the negative side it takes time to learn and from the beginning there are many parts needed to master. The game includes a lot of content with three separate stories and enjoyable mini games. This is not something fans of the series and roleplaying fanatics should miss.

It’s just hard to grasp how Telltale manages to do it. Because in record time they have a game that seems if not more promising than The Walking Dead. The Wolf Among Us is a dark mystery with well-written dialogue and fantastic characters. It is game that shouldn’t be missed by anyone.

Modnation Racers is in many aspects the best kart racer we've played. The controls are spot on, building tracks is easy and fun, the presentation is playful and attractive and the overall tone of the game is a pleasing one. With support for twelve players online, or four players locally on one console, this game is above and beyond the competition in the multiplayer arena. The only major issue to be found here are far too lengthy load times, an issue that shouldn't deter you from experiencing this excellent kart racer.

The story might be pale and the characters are bland and boring, but it is easy to forgive since it is so damn fun to free Kyrat. It does not matter if you prefer to sneak around and hide in bushes and trees, or just charge into an enemy camp on an elephants back. Far Cry 4 will not be a classic that people will talk about years to come, but it will entertain you greatly while it lasts.

After almost 20 years the first Resident Evil is still a masterpiece, and a must-have for everyone that likes a really good survival horror. However, Capcom could have put more energy into this remake, especially into the backgrounds and into some horrible looking cut scenes.

With Halo Wars we're treated to an easy to play strategy experience on a home console. The control scheme might not be on par with what you'll find in PC-counterparts, but it serves it's purpose without giving you too much grief. If you love the Halo games and are in the market for a great strategy experience you should definitely give this title a try.

With the first Motorstorm we were amazed by the stunning graphics, spectacular crashes and the aggressive AI. With Pacific Rift we are treated to some great new environments and courses but the developer Evolution Studios hasn't really found their direction for this sequel. Four player co-op is great but the news here aren't enough to redeem uneven graphics, unpredictable crashes and lack of direction.

    SSX
The new SSX is built on a solid foundation and the online mode is smart. Many of the new features are just unnecessary and the game modes are boring. More than anything - SSX is a promising reboot.

Steamworld Dig is an indie game that mixes Boulder Dash and Castlevania in a great way. To dig down into the mine in search of precious stones, new abilities and secrets quickly becomes addictive. It feels a little disappointing when the bottom has been reached, but the road there is very entertaining.

Metro Last Light improves on several of the originals shortcomings but also has a few of its own. Mainly the artificial intelligence needs lots of work otherwise Metro Last Light with its hybrid of quality action and engaging storytelling would maybe have been one of the best games of the year.

Solve puzzles in a bizarre colorful environment, using different characters with different abilities. But the puzzles are too easy and too illogical for this game to be much more than mediocre.

Where the previous FIFA installments have been focused on slower paced football and more physical play, FIFA 15 has taken a step back towards a more arcade-style gameplay as well as improved the goalies dramatically. There are no doubts that FIFA 15 is a beautiful and entertaining game however the question is if EA knows in what direction they want their beloved series to go.

De Blob is just one of those games that brings a smile to your face. You wouldn't think that rolling around in a ball coloring the environment would be this fun but it is. It's well adjusted to the Wii control and despite the hardware limitations the game looks great. There are flaws, but the overall experience is just pure fun.

This is a great 2D fighting experience for the DS. With impressive graphics and entertaining super moves this is definitely something that Bleach fans will enjoy. There are few new features to be found here when compared to the predecessor though. A multiplayer mode that only requires one cartridge is a big plus for the experience.

Broken Age is in many ways an amazing adventure. It offers a unique style and has dialogues which in most cases are of very high class. Unfortunately, the story fails to engage to the point that you have to play on, which is a problem considering that this is only the first of two parts. In combination with a gameplay mechanic suffering from lack of new ideas, the game fails to climb higher on the rating scale. But for the genre buff, there is no reason to keep the pennies.

It is hard to find a bigger meaning in Wildstar. The mechanics are pretty basic, and a lot of the content is hand to on a silver plate. But together with some friends, Wildstar is both a entertaining and rewarding MMO. And the colorful graphics make it joyful to look at.

Resistance: Retribution is a third person action game where you're treated to a side story taking place in between the two installments on Playstation 3. The game's protagonist is new but environments and the characters that populate them are familiar. The controls represent the major issues in this game, despite an overly helpful auto aim. Somewhat flawed controls in conjunction with an unbalanced level of challenge leads to way too many game over screens. Despite all these flaws this is still a good action game.

Battlefield 4 keeps soldiering on in the same footsteps as previous games in the series. The lack of worthwhile news makes you wish for more. Dice stays in its comfort zone calls for explosions and not much more. The series needs to evolve or fade out.

A lot of people complain that the big sports game series don't evolve enough over the years. But NHL 14 shows that they don't even have to do that. This entry in the series is riddled with bugs and the Hockey Ultimate Team mode has still not yet been figured out. Instead of a step forward it seems it chose to take two steps back.

Renegade Ops combines a B-movie story with a narrative influenced by comic books, where different characters with different abilities and some rpg elements give the arcade-like experience more depth. It's fun as a singleplayer game, but the co-op mode is where the game really shines.

Tearaway was one of the most charming games in 2013, and thanks to this remake it may well also be so this year. With its flaws and all, it's still a little gem, and for those who missed it then it's definitely time now.

To grade a game like this is as difficult as it is irrelevant. The appeal of this game is solely based upon you personal preferences in games. If you're into fast paced action games this not a title for you. If you're into intricate battles and spending obscene amounts of hours collecting loot this is definitely well spent money on your behalf. Played solo this is passable but when played in multiplayer with friends this is as close to a portable MMO as you'll get.

Think Grand Theft Auto 4, then replace all traces of realism with over the top exaggerated content and finally toss in a co-op mode online and you'll have an idea of what you can expect in Saint's Row 2. It's a great sandbox experience that puts emphasis on having fun while playing rather than looking slick. The major complaint is that because of the playful nature of the game there isn't much you'll take seriously in this game. If you're looking to play around, this is the game for you.

The latest game in the franchise delivers what the series has always been great at, without jumping any sharks. The story is exciting, the characters memorable and the humor great. The updated 3D graphics feels like a natural evolution of the old style but the difficulty could have been higher. A must for fans of the series.
