Cronos: The New Dawn isn't the masterpiece it was hoped for, but it's a crucial milestone in Bloober Team's evolution. At times frenzied, often distressing, it embodies the sincere desire of a studio determined to overcome its mistakes and forge a true identity, even if its homages remain too obvious. A demanding, slow, and heavy survival horror, it doesn't seek to seduce but to oppress. An experience that is especially striking for its mastery of the codes of a genre that its creators now know like the back of their hand.- Jeuxvideo.com

Whether or not you're immune to the restrictive mechanics of roguelites, you absolutely must dive into the world of this excellent The Rogue Prince of Persia. You'll come for its highly effective gameplay that's free of any superfluous elements, and you'll stay for the diabolical flow that emerges from the combat and exploration. Available in Game Pass and PS Plus Extra at the time of writing, the Evil Empire title published by Ubisoft aspires to only one thing when a game is over: restart another one to stay in this unbridled loop.- Jeuxvideo.com

Regardless of the outcome, Yang Bing and the teams at UltiZero Games can be proud of the work accomplished, as the design of Lost Soul Aside was so grueling. Unfortunately, the result is insufficient to establish itself in the action game genre. Certainly, the title relies on calibrated and nervous gameplay, and this is where the soul of the project shines the most. Aside from certain artistic aspects (settings, designs, music), Lost Soul Aside struggles to be catchy: the story is too flat, the universe is generic, the characters are forgettable, the structure is redundant, the mechanics are hackneyed or underexploited. It's not a disaster either, but the final copy is barely adequate, to our great regret.- Jeuxvideo.com

Despite some obvious flaws (especially in the combat department), Hell is Us is a good action-adventure game that shines particularly brightly thanks to its atmosphere and its ability to surprise the player. Rogue Factor has managed to create a rather unique blend of exploration, action, and puzzles, supported by a technique that commands respect. In short, if you're looking for a game at the crossroads of the genre, we recommend it. Be careful, however, if you have high expectations in terms of action-RPG or puzzles.- Jeuxvideo.com

A successful bet for our little pink ball! This transition to 3D is a resounding success and gives more depth to this Nintendo universe, usually more in the background than the giants of the firm (Mario, Zelda and other Pokémon). Between well-thought-out new features and emblematic elements, Kirby has undeniably found the right formula and delivers us an excellent surprise. Everything is simple, of course, but it works and it is difficult to let go of the console. So yes, the world is less open than we thought, yes you will find few real challenges there, but we quickly forget that once the game is launched. A little breath of fresh air that feels good and constitutes an excellent gateway to the Kirby universe.- Jeuxvideo.com

Like a lovingly polished katana, Shinobi Art of Vengeance cuts hard. Pleasant to pick up and fun to play thanks to its multiple moves, it's such a robust action game that the platforming aspect seems more timid in comparison. Sure, the Metroidvania-lite aspect offers large levels to explore, but it doesn't transcend the experience. In any case, we feel the rigor of intensive training behind many gameplay mechanics, like a shinobi perfecting his art, even if all the techniques observed have already been seen elsewhere.- Jeuxvideo.com

Metal Gear Solid Delta succeeds in its bet to bring a legendary game up to date. 21 years after its release, MGS 3 remains a masterpiece thanks to its incredible storyline, memorable characters, and fast-paced adventure that never gets boring. For new players, its 4K visual overhaul with realistic rendering and comfort options make it an excellent entry point, while fans will be delighted to find all the content surrounding this episode in a single game. But for fear of distorting the original work, Konami has kept some flaws, such as an inconsistent artificial intelligence, but above all, gameplay marked by a certain heaviness that will discourage more than one. In any case, it's hard to deny the pleasure of seeing MGS return to the forefront, hoping that it leads to a new adventure next time.- Jeuxvideo.com

Mafia: The Old Country is neither a grand coup nor a misstep. It's a return to its roots, understated and controlled, choosing linearity to better tell a story of men, blood, and loyalty. Enzo Favara's rise within the nascent mafia lays the foundations for a dense, intelligently written story, driven by elegant artistic direction. But this narrative ambition sometimes comes up against overly tame execution. The lack of boldness in the level design and sound prevents the game from truly taking off, from taking the epic leap it deserves. We sense the attention to detail, the rigor of the staging, but also a certain restraint where it should have been more daring. Mafia: The Old Country is a good vintage, a classic but polished mafia tale, which will delight fans of strong storytelling and old-school games. However, it lacks that spark that would have made it legendary.- Jeuxvideo.com

Don't be afraid to take on this Ninja Gaiden imagined by The Game Kitchen. While the name of the license may make you tremble, Ragebound has more than one talisman up its sleeve to ensure that all players find pleasure in it, from the brave young Genin to the invincible Jônin. Very pleasant to play, both technical and fun, it is pure arcade fun like we rarely see. With a little more inventiveness in its level design and some better exploited ideas, it would have reached the coveted rank of Ninja Master. Ryu can in any case be proud of Kenji, his protégé defended the house very well in his absence.- Jeuxvideo.com

Between Lies of P, Black Myth: Wukong and, now, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Asian development studios are shaking up the Souls-like genre, even though they jumped ship along the way. Yet another iteration of a genre in its own right that needs no introduction, Leenzee's creation finds the perfect balance between a Souls-like that returns to its roots and a game whose genre must reinvent itself or risk becoming boring. Ultimately, the experience promised by Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is honest, robust and sincerely entertaining, if not revolutionary. It's a shame because its very good ideas aren't missing much to make it a flagship of the genre.- Jeuxvideo.com

Donkey Kong Bananza isn't the absolute masterpiece some were expecting, but it's an excellent action-adventure game with effective, accessible gameplay and plenty of fresh ideas. It carves out a new direction for Donkey Kong without revolutionizing the formula, but with enough bananas, transformations and discoveries to please a wide audience. A title with groove, that hits the mark (and hard), and that makes you want to come back again and again.- Jeuxvideo.com

With this Nintendo Switch 2 version, Street Fighter 6 offers a portable version that lives up to other machines, but not on all levels. If the image is less fine than on PC/PS5/XSX, the high frame rate makes the fights as playable as on other machines, as much for playing alone, in local multiplayer or online. On the other hand, it is more on the World Tour where the shoe pinches because of clashes in 30 frames per second which clash with the fluidity of exploration. And if we can criticize the absence of a directional cross on the console, it does not prevent Street Fighter 6 on Nintendo Switch 2 from being a very good port which proves that the machine has the power it needs to accommodate titles available on other platforms, unlike its big sister, even the most competitive ones.- Jeuxvideo.com

Like the first episode, Death Stranding 2 is a game that will divide opinion, but not for the same reasons. Kojima Productions delivers a more mainstream sequel here, both in terms of writing and gameplay, and purists may miss the roughness of the 2019 title. But what DS2 loses in "personality", it gains in pace and variety. Progression is more generous and stimulating than in the past, and the action-infiltration phases accompany very well a gameplay loop that is still as gripping, based on delivery and movement optimization. And then, what can we say about the technique and artistic direction, which are of very high quality! In short, Death Stranding 2 is excellent, but is it a great game? It probably lacks a little spark for that...- Jeuxvideo.com

Hogwarts Legacy on Switch 2 is a pleasant surprise. Where one might have feared a cheap port, Avalanche Software delivers a careful, balanced, and faithful adaptation. Although technical limitations remain, the essentials are preserved: exploration, the universe, the magic, the immersion. Graphically less ambitious and locked to 30 fps, the game remains fluid, manageable, and above all, complete. Its main asset: native portability, without streaming, offering a magical experience anywhere, anytime. Fans of the saga will find it the ideal travel companion. Newcomers will appreciate a generous RPG, provided they are sensitive to the Harry Potter universe. For optimal visual quality, the next-gen versions are still preferred. But for a captivating adventure to take with you, this Switch 2 version is an excellent alternative.- Jeuxvideo.com

ReMatch dreams of being a concentrated action game and an arcade alternative that's both easy to access and challenging. At the start, this is partly the case, and some of its promises are kept: you can feel its potential, the games with friends are wild, and it's hard to put it down. However, Sloclap's title isn't yet up to the task of lasting 90 minutes. Lacking content and fine-tuning, the coming months will need to be dedicated to training if ReMatch has the ambition to lift a major trophy in the world of sports gaming.- Jeuxvideo.com

Twelve years after its release, Bravely Default returns to accompany the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 in a version that enhances the qualities of the original game. With this graphical overhaul, we enjoy more than ever the original style of this adventure, especially on a portable device, and the few comfort additions make the experience more enjoyable. While the title still shines with its combat and music, certain aspects remain in their original state, such as its overly classic story or its incessant notifications. This remaster nevertheless remains the best way to discover this seminal and ideal game while waiting for the announcement of the next project from the Asano team.- Jeuxvideo.com

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a new masterpiece that makes Breath of the Wild, one of the best games of all time, look like a mess. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, it is certainly no longer a "revolution," but it perfects the player experience in an epic dimension that is unparalleled. The feeling of freedom, the impression of living your own adventure without constraints, these are the great strengths of a game with an absolutely exceptional lifespan. Tears of the Kingdom is revealed over time, little by little, to the point that it will still have things to reveal to us for years to come. It is a jewel of absolute purity and definitely, adventure with a capital A.- Jeuxvideo.com

Yes, we dare to go for 20 (100)! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is quite simply a unique experience that truly reaffirms the term "adventure game." Never has a game offered the player such a sense of freedom, constantly renewing the experience. The environments are magnificent, the dungeons are ingenious, and you can't help but enjoy the journey! There's no doubt about it: it's already a must-play, and the hours of gameplay that await you in a gigantic world full of content will remain in your memories for life!- Jeuxvideo.com
