If Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition allows a new audience to discover a cult PS1 game in good conditions, the latter could have been better. On the one hand, this remaster benefits from updated graphics, an improved soundtrack but also new accessibility options and exclusive content that makes it interesting both for neophytes and for those who know already the title. But on the other hand, between the lack of a tutorial, perfectible menu ergonomics, but above all a still unstable framerate, this update could have offered a better rendering. It remains to be seen whether patches will correct some of its problems in the future to make the experience even more pleasant.- JeuxActu

As cute as ever, Kirby successfully enters his first real 3D world. Clearly inspired by Mario's latest adventures, the little pink ball is not lacking in personality. Too bad, however, that the areas are less open than expected and prevents the game from really getting closer to a Super Mario Odyssey. Yes, the game calls for a little more exploration, but it's still pretty minor in the end. In fact, the gameplay does not change radically from previous Kirbys, even if it is difficult not to rejoice in certain captivating passages.- JeuxActu

It's clearly Team Ninja's gameplay expertise that saves Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin from disaster. It takes a monster foot to move from one class to another while becoming familiar with the finesse they abound. Because yes, given the low technical level, we have the impression of dealing with a PS3 / Xbox 360 game. It goes hand in hand with the story which is being demolished by this constant silliness.- JeuxActu

GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, you might think it's a remastered version or a complete remake, but Rockstar Games has bet on the upgrade with performance of the new consoles. Native 4K, 60fps, Ray-Tracing, these tweaks make this version of GTA V the best looking and the best as well.- JeuxActu

As a Borderlands 3 spin-off inspired by a Borderlands 2 DLC, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands can't revolutionize anything. This is its main default, especially since the Borderlands saga is already particularly prolific. But if you are not yet bored by this formula and these slightly dated visuals, then you are guaranteed to have a great time.- JeuxActu

Beneath its appearance of a simple and cute tribute to Zelda, Tunic actually hides a rather difficult experience, which borrows a lot from Dark Souls and others. A game almost out of nowhere but which deserves your greatest attention.- JeuxActu

If Ghostwire Tokyo does not escape the "one more open world" syndrome, this is almost its only default. If the general structure is undeniably classic, the environment is fortunately much less so. The districts of Tokyo are faithfully represented, and exotic for us Westerners, while the morbid supernatural bestiary from Japanese folklore really does not lack charm.- JeuxActu

Taking up the basics of the KOF XIV game system (which was a superb mix of the best 2D episodes), KOF XV never disappoints in terms of gameplay, with a depth rarely equaled. You obviously have to like the offensive game (quite the opposite of Street Fighter) and like this great mobility as well, which makes everything go very quickly.- JeuxActu

With The World Before, the Syberia saga returns to its best and makes us forget the disappointing Syberia 3. This time, the few technical shortcomings are no longer disabling and no longer spoil the pleasure of the game. We can therefore serenely enjoy the universe created by Benoît Sokal, the uchronic scenario, the superb artistic direction, voices fully dubbed in French, automatons, trams, European architecture and a whole host of other positive points of the game.- JeuxActu

Chocobo GP is not armed enough to compete with Mario Kart. Beyond the limited number of circuits, it is above all their failed design that makes racing boring. The driving also lacks finesse and the races become a real mess. It's not enough to place items and vehicles on a track for the magic to work; it also takes a good dose of mastery to find a good balance, something that Square Enix will never have been able to find.- JeuxActu

Translating 13 years of legacy into a gigantic open world was quite a big challenge, and FromSoftware did it brilliantly with Zelda Breath of the Wild as a guide. But, to be honest, we don't share the opinion of most of our colleagues: Elden Ring is an excellent title, but it still lacks something to have the stuff of a GOTY 2022.- JeuxActu

If Triangle Strategy unquestionably deserves a very good note, it should still be noted that the adventure will not be suitable for everyone. If you are allergic to long discussions and other narrative scenes intended to enrich your knowledge of the universe and the characters, the experience may be a little painful for you. Not only the scenario, clearly inspired by Game of Thrones, is really worthy of interest, but the combat system is also rich and interesting.- JeuxActu

Take the aesthetics of Double Dragon and Streets of Rage, add some combos from a Tekken or a Street Fighter game, and then you have a good idea of what awaits you in Okinawa Rush. The splendid pixel art, the detailed animations, the variety of the gameplay are in favor of the game of the Miller brothers, whose love for the ancients beat'em up is felt on many points.- JeuxActu

If Kazunori Yamauchi continues to be hermetic to the changes made in the genre since the competition stole the show from him, there is one thing that has not changed in him, it is his passion for the automobile. Everything in this episode oozes love for beautiful bodywork. If the game has been criticized for offering frozen scenery, in terms of car modeling, it is a delight at all levels, to the point of saying that we are turning into Carn Porn, especially when we are walking around in the Garage and the Photo mode. And then Gran Turismo 7 also reminds us how much the game is still fun to play, with this progression that only this series is able to provide. Yes, it's pretty austere in execution, but it's all rewarding knowing that you're moving pretty fast.- JeuxActu

Shadow Warrior 3 is a nice mix between Duke Nukem, Serious Sam, DOOM Eternal or Bulletstorm, and that's a good thing! The production of Flying Wild Hog, like its hero, never takes itself seriously and makes a clear contract with the player: immediate fun, non-stop action, blood, sweat and laughter.- JeuxActu

Hard but never unfair, short but intense, classic but well-made, Gunborg: Dark Matters has all the charm of a small indie production. Only the lack of content tarnishes the final balance sheet. Between the lifespan limited to two or three hours if one does not seek to maximize the scores and the shyness of the narration, Gunborg necessarily leaves an aftertaste of too little.- JeuxActu

Mix between a Walking Simulator and a slightly more gameplay-oriented production, Martha is Dead is a narrative adventure reminiscent of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice for the psychiatric theme, What Remains of Edith Finch for the neat and engaging subject, and the many games horrifying to the gory scenes that we find everywhere. The story of Giulia and Martha is shocking, while the game mechanics with the camera will especially delight photography enthusiasts. A remarkable adventure!- JeuxActu

It's hard to get excited for Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, which has been built on a game that already looked very ugly and had an off-topic open world four years ago. If Omega Force has done well to drop the open world concept to return to a more classic structure, we note however that little has really changed and it's still boring playing this new game.- JeuxActu

The Games Workshop franchise is particularly well-suited to Total War, which gets rid of its realistic and historical aspect to become crazier. Fantastic spells and demonic creatures are present, and it works well. In addition, Total War Warhammer 3 has the merit of offering us a quality scripted prologue, just to welcome novices as it should.- JeuxActu

Like Genshin Impact a year ago, Lost Ark comes to taunt the big paid games by offering quality content in a free-to-play economic model. For 2022, Nintendo has some new ambition for the Pokémon license! Pokémon Legends Arceus gives us a great semi open-world, which adapts well to the Pokémon formula. On the other hand, graphically, it's poor, simplistic and it feels like a game that is 15 years behind.- JeuxActu

A real homage to kung-fu movies, and especially those from Hong Kong, Sifu is a stylized, hard-hitting beat'em all with gameplay that borrows from rogue-likes. If you like the challenge, don't hesitate any longer, it's a really good game, made by fans of the genre.- JeuxActu

Dying Light 2 keeps all the qualities of the first episode, and won't disappoint the lovers of zombies, parkour and weapon tinkering. Despite relatively detailed faces and some beautiful panoramas, the game has some issues, like an annoying open world, which multiplies the tricks already seen elsewhere, especially in Ubisoft productions. We were expecting something more new and fresh.- JeuxActu

On paper, Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection has some nice arguments to be tempted, but of remaster, there is really only the name, since the two titles have not really been reworked at the source. We are rather dealing with a plus-plus port to which we have added the performance of the PS5. Save your money for Horizon 2 Forbidden West, that's a better choice.- JeuxActu

Windjammers 2 is still an addictive game with it's simple yet deep gameplay that asks a true commitment from the player. No playable tutorial is there, and y'oull have to become a master of the frisbee through sheer sweat, tears and blood, but once you've mastered the art of the Flying Power Disc, the rewards are second to none.- JeuxActu

Extraction integrates tactical and stealth elements into its co-op shooter gameplay and does a pretty good job of honoring the DNA of the Rainbow Six series. This is not its only quality, and the extraterrestrial threat is a new and welcoming setting, much better that the terrorists and zombies too often seen elsewhere.- JeuxActu

Far from having suffered the ravages of time, this PC port of GOD OF WAR is more beautiful than ever. Some options allow graphics to be pushed to the limit, while others are intended to relieve less powerful machines. But what struck us the most in January 2022 was finally to see how far the adventure was ahead of its time. Four years after its release on PlayStation consoles, the game is still as sublime, addicting and impactful.- JeuxActu

This PC port fulfills its role very well because it cancels a lot of limitations of the Switch version. The framerate is no longer stuck at 30 frames per second, the resolution can go up to 4K, some textures are much more detailed, and loading times are noticeably reduced. However, we should not expect either that this former Nintendo exclusive will miraculously transform into graphic mastery worthy of the biggest productions of 2022.- JeuxActu
