Disgaea 2 is certainly a game that stat whores will waste hours on. You can get to ridiculous levels and do attacks that would make Final Fantasy lose it's lunch.

If you like an average RPG tale with some fun combat and great Crafting, Blade Dancer is worth your time. The RPG genre isn't overly deep on the PSP and this title certainly fills a hole for JRPG fans.

Where Legend is successful is in capturing the charm and feel of the original games and truly feels like the first modern take on the series.

If you loved the first game and enjoy a story-heavy action roleplaying game, then Kingdom Hearts II is a must-buy.

If you want full control over your characters, then Full Spectrum Warrior may be a little "distant" for you. But, for those looking for a more strategic feel to their gameplay, this title offers up a nice challenge while providing more than enough gameplay to test out your ability to command troops.

The music is superbly scored and goes a long way to set a mood. I ca not imagine playing this game without the soundtrack and any attempt to do so only managed to break the mood.

This is the best offering of gameplay, extras and multiplayer that has come out in some time.

Even if the game had been optimized more and some of the mechanics streamlined, this game would be a hard sell for most gamers. But, for those looking for a deep and challenging strategy title, Generation of Chaos will fit the bill.

What Black does do right is the fact that you are almost guaranteed to not find another game this action intense in a long time. I've never played a FPS with this much going on and stuff flying around on the screen.

It doesn't seem like there is much to it but give it an hour to grow on you, its world will open up, and you just might be hooked.

Pure, intense stylish action.

The action is fun, if a bit monotonous when it comes to combat and linear throughout.

Anyone that is a remote fan of horror games should check this game out immediately. I haven't played a game this scary in a long time and the game play remains interesting throughout.

If you have some patience, then by all means get it. There's a lot to be enjoyed here if you can just endure the dragging pace of the story. If you're looking for faster action, then you may get bored with this one a bit too quickly.

Few old school series get such a great modernization like this. Considering the game easily clocks in well over 50 hours, any RPG fan will get their money's worth.

The story and scenario presentation is more than enough to keep you playing through Half-life 2.

Graphically, Gun is one of those games that looks great for the most part, but does have a few rough edges that keep it from being in the same class as, say, "Resident Evil 4" or "Ninja Gaiden."

The game is short. Even after completing the entire side quest and upgrading my creatures to the max, my time only left me with about 15 hours.

The game just needed a little more time for polish I believe. If you can just look past these faults then your bound to enjoy the best Matrix game out there today and of course you get to be Neo and come on now, everyone wants to be "The One".

The story may not be too in depth and the characters don't endear themselves as previous titles do, but for those that bought a PSP, Liberty City Stories pays off big.

It throws out so many references to the source material and stories written by the author that fans can't help but feel the wait has been justified.

Visually, SOTC is all about the artistic flair and presentation. The same wispy, dreamlike style present in ICO returns, but with more Aztec/Incan influence in both the main character's attire and the way the Colossi appear.

A great step back to the series' roots.

More of the same. While there are minor revisions to the game, the core of the game remains the same.

Heck, you should just play this game for the comic-book styled cutscenes alone. Good thing there's a good game in here as well.

With tons of items to collect, including unlockable characters, and some excellent co-op play, this game may be the best the X-Men have to offer this generation.

Everything the original was but better. In fact, Ninja Gaiden Black proves to be one of the best action titles of this generation.

The game provides a lot to do and people who enjoy digging up every little thing will spend hundreds of hours just tooling around, discovering every little aspect the game has to offer.

If your looking for a good mature action/ adventure game that makes you think in more ways then one, do yourself a favor and pick up Killer 7.

For those who pine the 16-bit days, Atelier Iris is a wonderful bit of nostalgia that's good fun to play.

Those looking for some co-op action might want to give it a whirl as well, but don't expect this title to be as deep as some of the more high-end games offered in the past year.

The guys at Rockstar have really honed their ability to keep the missions fresh. They've managed to make each mission varied and complex without making them brutally hard.

Despite the fact that you play an FBI agent, you never use a weapon. Still Life is an adventure, through and through.

Advent Rising certainly could have used a lot more work. If you're a sci-fi themed shooter fan, you can find this one for a decent price. You have to be pretty forgiving as there's a lot here that could use some polish.

It provides a good challenge while remaining pretty fun. With tons of challenges to compete in and scores of unlockables to obtain, you're likely to keep this title in your PSP for some time.

If you enjoy the BioWare style of RPG, then a purchase of this game is a no-brainer.

For those who want a cheap horror fix for a weekend, Obscure is sure to fit the bill. Just don't expect anything outstanding and you might just enjoy yourself.

Suffers from the fact that once the story really gets going, the game ends, leading into the upcoming sequel. This is a shame as the slow build up starts to really feel rewarding and then... BAM! Too be continued.

For some it's been a mixed bag. Some people love it for its creepy and intense atmosphere and others hate it for its stale game play.

UbiSoft is going to be hard pressed to beat it.

If you have ever been a fan of the Twisted Metal series, then getting this game is a no-brainer. It's easily one of the best in the series and gives fans pretty much everything they've wanted out of the series.

The game balance is well done and the average gamer will find a lot here to enjoy.

The play mechanics are well realized and thankfully add something new the to genre. If you're a Metal Gear fan, the card collection aspect alone will make it worth you time for nostalgia's sake.

DMC3 is bigger, better, more badass, and more fun then the first one and gives you some back-story for the first game in a way... Just make sure that you have someone to cry to when the same boss beats you repeatedly for the last half hour, because believe me it will happen.

If there's anything that can be held against Republic Commando, it's that the main story is short and doesn't have all that strong of an overarching story. Fortunately, the gameplay and audio package makes the overall experience worth the time and effort. Republic Commando is certainly one of the better Star Wars games to come out this generation.

The heavy violence and strong ties to the Marvel universe really work for fans of The Punisher and the story and presentation does do a nice job at putting the player into the deranged mind of this vigilante.

A triumph of epic proportions that is sure to go down in history as one of the greatest game sequels ever made.

An excellent offering that takes the sandbox gameplay and makes it work without taking Grand Theft Auto's formula and repackage it's theme.

When you do get to the heart of the story, you'll find characters who are far deeper and fleshed out than most RPGs deserve to have.

Builds on the weaknesses of its predecessor, but at the same time falls short of its strengths. All in all, this is a great title that offers something entirely new to a series that didn't really need it.

It takes the quality gameplay from the second game and vastly improves it, while taking the better story pacing from the first game in mind when providing the lengthy tale that really involves the gamer.

Ghost in the Shell only works when it comes to the voicecast, which is pulled straight from the show's voicecast.

With a little more power for the engine and more refinement, this could have been a great game, but there is still a good time to be had here.

The gameplay is pure "old school" and makes no apologies for it. Without a doubt, this is a "Love It or Hate It" game. If you can weather a challenge, then be sure to invest in this title.

There are many things that could use some polish, but this sequel is definitely a step in the right direction.

Really just more of a good thing. While the story mode has changed focus and there are a number of minor additions to the gameplay that don't largely affect it (outside of some goals that require said gameplay aspects), the overall core is what Neversoft has basically perfected over the years.

Luckily, the adventure and the Judgment Ring aspect of combat lend themselves to a quality title that's sure to be a nice change of pace for those who love Final Fantasy.

With X-Men Legends, fans of the series will finally get a next-gen action RPG worth their time and effort. As an action RPG without the license, X-Men Legends is still a great effort, worth your time and notice.

The game features a lot of loading, which is a little disappointing considering how linear and confined some areas are. Also, I would have liked to see more variety in the weapons and armor available.

The game is too bright. Previous titles used the darkness to instill a mood and sense of horror in things you couldn't see. This time around, you can see everything, even in the distance.

The combat is fun and there's a lot to do, so expect to invest a number of hours before you're done.

Thankfully, the physics and handling are dead-on and really take some effort to learn well if you want to succeed.

The gameplay is slow and for the most part, laid back, not unlike PC adventure titles like Myst and Syberia. If you can forgive the game's faults, there is something to enjoy here. Just don't expect to be able to shoot anything along the way.

The only real "drawback" I found with the game is the repetitiveness of the "random crimes". It won't take too long for you to have exhausted all renditions of the crimes. This wouldn't be an issue if it weren't for the fact that you have to perform these duties to move from chapter to chapter. Luckily, the combat is fun enough to keep these from being overly tedious.

Gone from FM4 is the ability to kill or eject pilots, meaning that you wont be swimming in excess Wanzer parts by a third of the way through the game.

Really, the only thing that holds Psi-Ops back is that it's still just a culmination of other games in the genre with a nice psychic ability angle to it.

I understand the need to simplify things for use on the GBA, but even the fact that all the spells use the same art seems a bit disappointing. With that said, though, the graphics do what they should - carry the solid gameplay through.

Usually a game with no multiplayer and running a little bit on the short side, I would have a hard time suggesting buying, but Escape From Butcher Bay is put together so well that a purchase is well worth it for anyone who enjoys first person shooters or action titles of any kind.

Older or more hardcore gamers are probably going to scoff at the title, but there's something to be said about an adventure title that allows you to play with four people at one time.

The perfect sequel. It also has everything a great action/adventure game needs. Fast and smooth action, multiple characters, well thought of puzzles, well fleshed out characters, a good story and kickass graphics and sound to boot. [JPN Import; Grade = A+]

Most of the game is trial-and-error, leading you to play the same stage multiple times until you figure things out. Get seen by a shibito? Go ahead and die, because it's likely that running and hiding isn't worth the effort.

If you're looking for a comprehensive boxing title, then this is it. The depth of the gameplay and options, including online gameplay, will keep any boxing fan happy for a long time.

The single player is worth playing just as much as the online is. They both are lots of fun and at times the game can seem very chaotic but exciting all at the same time.

If FFXI gets its hooks into you, you may find yourself not buying any other games for a long time.

The execution of the voice communication, including eavesdropping and talking into the ear of captured mercenaries, makes the game all the more thrilling.

The hand-to-hand combat is actually quite fun to use, which more than makes up for the mediocre gunplay you have to use early on.

One of my biggest complaints about not only this game but the Tenchu series is that the in-game camera STILL is pretty iffy and proves to make the game more challenging that it already can be.

The game just hooks you from the beginning and never lets go.

The best game on GameCube by far and one of the best games ever, in my opinion. It's a must-own for any action game fan. [Grade = A+]

If you want to fly high above and put yourself into unique and highly intense battles that are actually fun, go try "Sky Gunner" or "Panzer Dragoon Orta." In the meantime, you can probably look at this title and see how not to make a good game.

The actual fighting in the game is flawless...One of my favorite games of all time and easily my favorite game on Xbox. [Grade = A+]

It does such a wonderful job of pulling you into the Bond world and you could almost say this game is a movie and at times I had thought to myself that very idea.

While there isn't much story in this game (which seems like going back to the FF:1 days) the game is incredibly addicting.

While I get the feeling that this game proves to be a sloppy port, it is still a good game at heart and has a wonderful timepiece story that fans of the genre will enjoy.

A perfect mix of platforming and action.

The sequel that will give fans more of what they enjoyed about the first game. Improvements are only minor, but they manage to compliment what was an already excellent package.

The music in the game is a mess, the vast majority of the game is eerily silent, with occasional ambient music. When you encounter a boss fight or hairy situation however, blaring nu-metal blasts repeatedly then instantly stops when the fight is over.

A great game with just a few beefs: poor use of great licensed music, slightly lacking implementation of the Gamebreaker feature, pointless hype about all the style moves (they're best used for taunting and bragging rights), and an insane difficulty curve in the Challenge mode which may send you to the store to buy new controllers.

A solid dungeon crawler with dated graphics and audio.

Most of the original game's elements have been realized in a pretty faithful replication.

When it comes to scaring the crap out of players, Fatal Frame 2 can't be beat. For those looking to shoot up a ton of monsters or zombies, this may not be your cup of tea. For players looking for a terrifying tale that's swmped with ambience, look no further.

While this is technically a simulation, I still wish there was some car damage and the effects of said damage to reinforce not using other cars and rails to bounce your way through certain corners.

If you're looking for a survival horror adventure to tide you over, this can fit the bill. Just don't expect it to look great or do anything new or spectacular.

Its humorous, has a good plot, a good mix of different characters and is just a fun game. So sit down, relax and enjoy the game just try not to pull your hair out from the puzzles.

The inherent humor and healthy challenge should serve most platform fans nicely.

Extremely fun and addicting. It has substance and style to boot and a great story.

A ridiculously addictive multiplayer experience that serves as a great party or group-oriented distraction.

A damn good game that takes all the best parts of the original and makes them better. If you're looking for a great action shooter that has a finely crafted and delivered story, then look no further.
