If you can get over the lack of analogue acceleration (although a GC controller will fix this), GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition offers a robust and rewarding simcade racing package, with one of the most entertaining story modes I’ve seen in a racing game in donkeys, and it stars Dr Who! Whether you choose to take to the track in handheld or docked mode, there are plenty of options to get GRID looking and playing exactly how you want. Toss in a truckload of DLC and core racing that looks and feels fantastic to play, and you’ve got yourself one of the best racing games on the Switch 2 to date.

Cult of the Lamb is a real indie title. It has a unique visual style; it combines popular elements from successful games into a new title while adding dark humor to it. It also has a message worth thinking about. All this makes it a title to love and remember.

The Journey Down series is a classic point-and-click adventure which fans of the genre simply must experience. If you haven’t played Chapters One and Two, make sure to do so before you play Chapter Three. While shorter and easier than Chapters One and Two, Chapter Three’s focus on adventure story-telling is fantastic. With improved graphics, voice acting and cinematic scenes the final chapter of The Journey Down brings an enjoyable and very satisfying gaming experience to close the series.

Truthfully, I found this DLC to be a strong fit for ‘Borderlands 3’ and the Borderlands universe. It offers a strong and intriguing story line full of unexpected laughs while filling in some of the blanks left behind from previous games. This DLC offers a massive amount of replay value, especially for those needing to make some extra cash to buy high end SDU upgrades. I managed to make $1,000,000 in just half an hour of starting this DLC from pickups alone, not including the money made from selling unwanted equipment.

Mega City Police is a fun, addictive, and beautiful shooter with an isometric camera and 80s sci-fi aesthetics. Everything designed in this game is a love letter to the 80s and it was done beautifully as well. I really wished the game was longer and there was some narrative motivation, but apart from that, this game was a blast.

Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III (aka Rainbow Islands 2) is a fantastic action platformer, with a unique hook, bright visuals, bonkers character design, and catchy tunes that will leave you twirling your umbrella and singing in the rain.

Build, survive, repeat. Against the Storm is a dark fantasy city-builder that blends roguelike structure with deep strategy and addictive resource management. Every settlement you build is temporary, but the knowledge and upgrades you carry forward make each run feel meaningful. With dynamic weather, unique factions, and smart progression, it’s a game that constantly evolves and it’s finally on Nintendo Switch, where its pick-up-and-play loop shines.

Overall, Death Stranding is a good game but not quite something that I’d really recommend. Yet, at the same time, Death Stranding is still an incredibly unique game and worth having a go at if you’re looking for something a bit out of the ordinary.

In conclusion, this game rocked and was a great walk or drive down memory lane with all the great bands who have lent their music to this game. The voice acting is pure class and the gameplay actually works quite well in a bizarre way that makes this quite an original game.

I felt like this game was just setting things up for trolling because I couldn’t help but spend most of my first few hours in this expansion looking for ways to wreak havoc, but once I buckled down and focused on the expansion I found it to be a lot of fun. My only real problem I see is the price tag as it sits at a whopping 39.99 U.S. and 49.95 AUD in Australia. You do get a lot in this expansion but that price is hard to swallow. If you love the Sims then you will love this expansion.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a seriously good remaster. It’s a relaxing and comforting jaunt back into the world of the classic 3D platformer and it was a joy to re-experience all of these worlds with Sparx by my side. If you played Spyro growing up—or always wondered what the fuss was about—there’s something in this for everyone, and I hope that we see some new young Spyro fans as a result.

The Borderlands Legendary Collection is an astoundingly tantalising package. Featuring Borderlands 1, 2 and Pre-Sequel with all the DLC crammed onto a single cartridge, this deal seems almost too good to be true. The games run fantastically on the Switch in both portable and docked mode, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll prefer to eschew those tiny Joy-Con analogue sticks in favour of a far more comfortable Pro controller. This is an excellent way for newcomers to jump into the Borderlands series, and an even better way for old fans to play through the games again with the added benefit of portability.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is a game for the whole family. It’s filled with over 100 minigames, responsive controls, and graphics that truly pay homage to what Nintendo is. This is one title that will have you coming back for more and more. Just be warned that some games can go for several hours, so if you have the time and are looking for something fun to play with your friends and family, Super Mario Party Jamboree is definitely that title on the Nintendo Switch.

It’s impressive that, considering its mix of two very different genres, Crown Gambit very rarely missteps. Through the ten or so hours I spent with Crown Gambit, there were very few moments were I wasn’t completely invested in the fate of Meodred. With fast-paced storytelling and a unique card system, this is a fascinating addition to your tactical combat collection, provided you can survive all that backstabbing.

Does SoR4 do the franchise justice? Yes! It gives older gamers the game they’ve been waiting for while offering younger players the chance to play a comic-book esque beat-em-up that’s challenging and fun. The highlight of the game for me was the soundtrack, which works in synergy with the gameplay to heighten intensity as the game becomes progressively more difficult. The one big let down is the length of the game, which I don’t think has been reflected in the launch pricing, especially for PS4.

Playing as a lower level character is almost even more fun than starting out as the King, I mean sure, it's good to be king….but it's nice to see the designers of the game took not only their fan base into consideration with this one…no even someone new to this type of gaming would do well to have this as their first experience. After running those tutorials off you go… and players will have all the courtly intrigue, army gathering and conquests and world running they can handle.

Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries should be commended on this 10th anniversary release of Halo: Combat Evolved. It's definitely for the Halo fan or for those that like well-made first person shooters with some great gaming mechanics and some amazing gaming environments that almost make this a new game. The ability to swap between classic and remastered is a treat in itself and really makes you appreciate what the developers created with the original game.
