The MMA scene has gotten a lot more refined over the years, with strikes combined with footwork and bodywork becoming more important than ever. EA UFC SPORTS 3 seems to go along with that shift, as the strike-based gameplay has gained a lot of depth while the ground game takes a backseat compared with previous MMA games.- IGN Japan

The fact that it’s a casual game allows Iconoclasts’ story to unfold at a good pace. It is without a doubt a story-driven action-adventure game, and as such you should take your time thinking about what it all means as you go along. For those who experienced Super Nintendo games in their prime, this game may be reminiscent of some of your best childhood memories.- IGN Japan

While being a sequel, the 6th entry in Toho Project's fighting series by doujin developer Twilight Frontier is easy to grasp for newcomers. The lack of online multiplayer opponents is a problem, but if you are looking for a unique fighting game that is easy to pick up, look no further.- IGN Japan

A fox traveling through a fairy-tale-like world alone is charming enough, but it is how the tale of this fox and a man come together that makes The First Tree so special. This is one of those games you must play before having it spoiled at all costs.- IGN Japan

Stages divided into chapters and automatic health recovery make this newly released shoot 'em up for the Nintendo Switch an easy pickup for people unfamiliar with the genre. However, its level design and presentation fail to shine anywhere in particular, making this mediocre bullet hell STG a game with little excitement or sense of accomplishment.- IGN Japan

Hyakki Castle comes with quite a few flaws -- including its UI -- but eliminating ghosts in a haunted castle makes for a great deal of fun, and the exploration that has you split up your party is well utilized. If you enter this castle with the expectation that you will die a lot, a game full of excitement awaits.- IGN Japan

Bringing a Dead Space-style SF horror atmosphere to a Dark Souls-inspired action game makes things interesting, and the speedy battle system, which includes cutting off body parts and crafting elements, is a success. However, the somewhat dull pace of the game results in the player dying a bit too often, leaving plenty of room for improvement when it comes to the game’s overall balance.- IGN Japan

While it may have the Fire Emblem name in its title, the character roster leans a lot towards more recent entries of the franchise, and since the story lacks any significant depth, it is not for all Fire Emblem fans. However, the polished system does a good job at combining action and strategy elements, resulting in a game true to the Warriors series.- IGN Japan
