Wii Party U is a surprisingly rich party game and a perfect fit for the forthcoming holiday season. Not everything works perfectly, but it stands as an honest and funny game for your evening with friends, sons and/or parents.

A great idea that shows it's possible to create solid AR games if you have imagination and you are a bit crazy. There are some minor issues with the camera, but it works extremely well for the most part and it's a smart and challenging puzzle game. Just be aware you're gonna look like an idiot while playing it.

A solid game, that gives you an engaging and deep tactical experience. There's not a ton of replayability, though, unless you're deeply into grinding and you tolerate some repetitiveness.

Mirror of Fate is a fun and engaging game, but it doesn't live up to the Castlevania name and it's very disappointing from a technical standpoint.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is an uneven episode for this series: the single player campaign is poor and shows all the flaws that the series has always had, while the multiplayer modes are fun and engaging as usual.

Fighting with all its spirit, WWE 2K14 delivers a solid performance on the ring and the crowd will be pleased by its action. There are some technical flaws and the graphics engine looks dated, but the game shines on a pure gameplay level and the 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode is really a blast.

SI Games confirms and enhances the extraordinary work done last year, making Football Manager 2014 the almost-perfect game for all the Ferguson wannabes out there. And if they keep making this game so good, in a couple of years we will have to raise our top review score to 11.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is the franchise's best episode since Assassin's Creed II. By mixing the series classic gameplay based on stealth, action and exploration with the new naval features, Ubisoft Montreal created an exciting open world game in which lands and sea are both fully explorable without any kind of interruption.

An ambitious project that delivers one of the most compelling and enjoyable online experiences ever. GTA Online is an amusement park at your disposal where the player decides what to do and how to do it. Amazing.

How to Survive has some undoubted merits, mainly thanks to the crafting and combat system and the survival component. However, the game is very immature from other points of view, like the variety of enemies and locations, the limited size of the islands, the graphics and the triviality of quests and dialogue.

Batman: Arkham Origins is a good game, but unfortunately nothing more. You have a lot to do until the end of this crazy night, but everything seems already done and seen. If you loved Arkham City you definitely should play Origins too, but you will experience a strong déjà vu feeling all throughout your game.

Dual Destinies is an excellent chapter in the series. The gameplay is the same that we learned to love, but it's a little more varied and refined. The cast sees a lot of new characters: the fans might miss some of the classics, but the narrative quality is top notch.

A disgraceful fighting game, totally lost in its tons of curves and plastic women, who look like soulless dolls. Girl Fight will enrage all feminist movements (by the way, they have all the rights to be mad), proving how the media itself isn't able yet to achieve wisdom and maturity.

Keeping its head in the clouds and its feet on the ground, Gaijin is able to capture the excitement of skydiving and delivers a solid game. Even when you'll complete everything the game has to offer, you'll come back on regular basis just to feel the pleasure of flight.

There's something magnetic in Double Fine's Costume Quest that makes you keep playing despite the lack of variety in gameplay's basic mechanics and it's the amazing visual style of the game, besides obviously the always funny Tim's dialogues.

Goodbye Deponia is a fun, challenging and smart graphic adventure. Maybe some of you won't appreciate a too uncomfortable and unpleasant narrative, but you will find much humor, original mini-games and great puzzles too.

Bloody and based on a fun battle system, Ascend: Hand of Kul is a free-to-play videogame which implements some interesting ideas without managing to exploit them to their full potential. It is a nice hack'n slash experience partially marred by some of its F2P elements.

Nihilumbra, mixing action and cleverness, is unable to create a perfect balance between the two souls and the result it's a sort of disappointment. The lack of rhythm, nefarious puzzles related to the second campaign and the intrusive narrator's voice are the game's most aggravating flaws.

Once again, Just Dance 2014 resembles more an update than a proper sequel: but that's fine, since there's no need to fix a formula that's still working fine after 5 years. Of course some drawbacks do persist (mainly due to hardware limitations), but most of the players won't even notice them, overwhelmed as they will be by the sheer amount of lights, colors and sounds (for the first time online as well!).

A New Beginning is a clear praise to the dawn of the series itself as well as a right return to the past with some enjoyable new additions. Longtime fans will find a more old school Harvest Moon while the newcomers will have the best portable episode, if they have the patience to go through the first tedious hours.

Sonic Lost World is a gorgeous game and a really enjoyable Sonic game. Sonic Team goes back to the roots of the hedgehog, while exploring new ways to keep him running and exploring like never before. Too bad there's some really annoying moments and the Wisp powers are boring and inconsistent.

Please, don't get fooled by Serellan's proclamations and don't fall in the trap. Takedown: Red Sabre is a terrible first person shooter, ugly to watch and painful to play. You won't get any fun from it, even if you insist on fighting against its flaws. Stay away from it.
