Warface is a good F2P shooter, with an economic model that does not reward too much real money to win and a fun and deep co-op experience. The same can not be said about the competitive modes, and the originality. However, you can just try it free and if you like co-op MMOFPS, you will find bread for your teeth.

Angry Birds Star Wars is essentially a good game, with some amazing levels and a lot of stars to collect, but the it isn't meant to be played with a pad and in prolonged sessions. It could have been an honest porting, but the due to its absurd price tag it's sadly not the game you are looking for.

Still addictive as ever, Peggle 2 does not shake the original formula, offering another occasion of spending hours and hours shooting balls around the screen. Too bad for the lack of local multiplayer.

The latest cute experiment from Greg Johnson's Humanature is an interesting trip inside human emotions. It has personality, witty humor and the cross-buy options make it available on every Sony console out there. You'd rather play it with your children or little brother/sister.

The score is given on trust, because at the moment you might not get into an online match even after several attempts, not to mention other bugs and graphic glitches. An upcoming patch should resolve most of the problems, but right now the bugs are still there and the single player is really weak. Multiplayer, instead, is the usual blast and the new modes, new maps and 64 players in Conquest mode are simply great.

Huge, engaging and colorful, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is the best LEGO game to date. Too bad the difficulty level is very low.

We all love games based on a pirate's life (well, maybe Ninja doesn't) but we need the right amount of challenge in it. Assassin's Creed: Pirates is blessed with stunning visuals, lots of things to do and fun naval battles, but it gets repetitive too early and is not challenging at all.

Poor contents, unrealiable controls, bland artwork, no online game and few differences between characters: there is not too much to be saved in Fighter Within.

Despite the four-year break from NBA Live 10, the Electronic Arts basketball series is back in late 2013 with an awful new episode. Ugly to see and hear and flawed in artificial intelligence and gameplay, NBA Live 14 finds some interesting elements only in Scenario Mode and Ultimate Team, but NBA 2K14 does much more ten times better and even if EA Tiburon has promised patches and updates, the feeling is that the NBA Live series is now dead and buried.

The DLC pieces aren't earth-shattering, but the complete pack is a good way to enjoy one of the most finely crafted action-rpg experiencs published this year, at a budget price.

Gran Turismo 6 is a big and expensive DLC for Gran Turismo 5, a game strictly true to itself, firm in its silly idiosyncrasies, with some technical issues and yet full of passion for beauty and extraordinary magnificence. As usual , this is not the The Real Driving Simulator, but a game with substantially effective DNA which is further refined here. Great to drive.

Despite the efforts and the good intentions, Crimson Dragon betrays its origins: you can definitively tell this project was born a generation ago, and the scars of a troubled development are visible. The result, even if it's not that bad, is surely far far away from its spiritual predecessors.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition isn't the best option to show your friends the power of your new PlayStation 4, but it's still a great fighting game, with a lot of rich and challenging single player options, and one of the best game involving DC Comics super heroes.

Castle of Illusion is a good platform game, but fails to deliver an organic experience. Some levels are gorgeous, but some other lacks in level design or inspiration, and it's definitely too short for a premium priced game.

Bravely Default is a role-playing game that tries to match the old school with new ideas, giving the player a good combat system, a mature story, but also a lackluster exploration. Mission accomplished.

A-Men 2 is a painful experience, a game that tries to emulate The Lost Vikings, but is not able to achieve its dream. The game is like a chore: you'll have to repeat tons of actions just to solve a puzzle. And, with few checkpoints, that's not fun at all.

NBA 2K14 has everything a basketball fan wants to find in a videogame. Xbox One visual impact is astonishing and the new modes, with a preference for My Player, work very well. The ball physics need a little tuning, but the game is still great to play, to watch and to listen to.

On Xbox One and PlayStation 4 FIFA 14 grants more depth in its mechanics and some stunning visuals. It's a pity that the new Ignite engine does nothing to improve the cut-scene and that some game modes are now missing. It's a joy to play, but we can expect a lot more from FIFA 15.

No one would have bet on Double Helix, yet they proved everyone wrong: not only does this return of Killer Instinct hold intact the spirit of the original, but it takes the franchise to a whole new level. It might lack some content and still be a WIP, yet this is one of the sweetest treats the nextgen has given us.

Dead Rising 3 is an impressive improvement on the series, especially for those who hated the time pressure in the first two episodes. Nightmare mode, however, is a huge tribute to the original gameplay. Multiplayer is a lot of fun. Only the graphics are not "next-gen ready".

Killzone: Shadow Fall is an uninventive but still largely enjoyable shooter, with rich visuals and a solid multiplayer experience. Poor dialogue and narrative keep the game far from the best out there.
