Strife hides a merciless challenge behind his well crafted Nineties costume. Not only old-style FPS lovers can find death on Icarus but also who's searching for a demanding moment of pure gore. Perhaps different levels of difficulty could have expanded the audience.

It was not easy to come up with something new and interesting in the Gotham City’s universe, but Telltale Games nailed it with this Batman series thanks to a thrilling and well-written storyline.

Kapital isn't a bad game, but neither a good one. It offers a fair amount of buildings and mechanics, but nothing new or particularly interesting.

FBC: Firebreak has some potential and its Control-style oddness works well, but the rest doesn't particularly stand out, and the limited in-game content doesn't help.

Nero is a flawed non-game, with boring puzzles and lackluster visuals. Its interesting and captivating atmosphere is not enough.

A perfect experience to live with Oculus Rift, but also with a normal PC doesn’t go unnoticed. Too bad the gameplay is weak and quite boring. [Tested with Oculus Rift and standard PC]

With many old features removed and some new caps introduced, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III feels like a shadow of its former self. That said, it is still worth the journey into the original atmosphere, the excellent script and the challenging gameplay of the trilogy, just one last time.

Forspoken is neither black nor white, it's a mottled gray of spectacular combat and magical parkour to be experienced within a dated open world.

Dead Island and the expansion Riptide are good examples of how to combine RPG, action, survival horror, splatter and exploration with solid gameplay mechanics, especially in the combat system area.

Hoods: Outlaws & Legends is a intriguing PvEvP heist game, that despite technical defects and several imperfections will entertain hardcore gamers. This multiplayer game is especially recommended for those with friends to play with and won't disappoint Robin Hood fans.

Yes there are tons of dragons and yes, you're gonna catch 'em all, but sadly this is not enough to recommend Dragon's Prophet. Under scales and tusks there is an ordinary MMORPG with boring quests and too much grinding in it, and the old graphics engine doesn't help to keep players engaged, but at least it's free to play.

King's Bounty fans will find a much different game compared to its predecessors, and not all changes are for the best. Still, there's enjoyment to be found in the new chapter of the series, especially when it comes to the battlefield.

Dogos tries to recreate the feeling that shrouded lates 80's coin-op cabinets, adding to the recipe a pinch of contemporaneity. Sadly the result is a tasteless shoot'em up.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires is a well balanced mix of turn-based strategy and hack 'n' slash gameplay in real time. The scenery graphics are still not on par with the attention to detail of the main characters, though.

Project Motor Racing tries to pick up the Project CARS legacy by sitting on the more sim-focused side of simcade, with a decent variety of cars and tracks and a driving model that can be enjoyable, especially on a wheel with some assists enabled. Overall, however, it struggles to find a clear identity, with a dry, spreadsheet-like career, merely adequate visuals and sound, inconsistent AI and several missing features and rough edges. A project with interesting potential that, at launch, stays well below its own ambitions.

The freemium formula is not harmful in itself, but it gets so with games like Dungeon Hunter 4, which despite the excellent technical sector, the online multiplayer and the large amount of in-game items, is literally decimated by in app purchases.

The beginning with the naval engagements is compelling, some missions are well thought out and taking the role of this new Connor is like to control a superhero. Even the New York settings are not bad, but with a short longevity and a narrative climax that never seems to arrive, the final score is not the most exciting.

Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics is quite a lazy collection of a bunch of good 80s games. The emulation is quite smooth, most of the games are still fun, but some bizarre games choices, a quite essential look and the lack of peculiar features such as online support make the collection just average.

Chocobo GP recollects the legacy of Chocobo Racing, proving to be a solid and fun kart game with the undeniable added value given by being set in the Final Fantasy universe. With famous locations from different chapters of the series and iconic characters, anyone who loves the Japanese series will instantly feel at home. It isn't easy to find originality in a kart game, it's inevitable to learn from the masterpieces of the genre but Chocobo GP doesn't lack a personality of his own and this has to be noted. We are not saying that the yellow feathered bird has surpassed the mustachioed Italian plumber but those looking for an alternative after the years spent on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will not be left disappointed, the only shame is the fact that there are just a few limited number of circuits available that we hope will be increased with the already announced post launch support.
