Something more could be done regarding graphics and additions/improvements to the game formula, but Dark Souls Remastered remains a successful re-release of an extraordinary game.

EA Sports FC 25 is the game we hoped for last year. With a slight delay, the Vancouver team has partially restructured the franchise, giving it a refreshed spirit. While it’s still rooted in the classic FIFA formula, the revamped modes add depth and deliver the best single-player experience in years without sacrificing multiplayer or the importance of Ultimate Team. The new HyperMotionV physics and FC IQ tactical engines provide a solid new foundation for the series, enhancing both strategy and visuals. Player models have improved, Rush is a delight, and the overall experience is now more fun, varied, and visually appealing than ever.

MLB The Show 25 proves to be one of the best sports series currently available. San Diego Studio's game stands out for the main modes (Road To The Show and Diamond Dynasty above all). Also appreciable are the changes in batting and defense, while on the graphics front there is room for improvement.

The second coming of Insomniac in Spider-Man’s universe translates into a convincing ’standalone DLC’. Nothing really new in the structure of Marvel’s Spider-Man, but some interesting new actions are surrounded by an impressive technical achievement.

Unity truly makes strength, and the collaboration between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames hits the mark. Despite a few minor flaws, Ninja Gaiden 4 stays true to the spirit of the series, enriching it with new mechanics that clearly bear the signature of the Bayonetta team. The result is a spectacular, technical, and varied combat system that delivers immense satisfaction once fully mastered.

The new Fox Engine gives birth to a deep and engrossing soccer game. This is the best PES ever, but it still suffers from the comparison to its arch-rival FIFA in terms of licensing and options.

Two Point Campus takes everything that's great about Two Point Hospital and improves on it while maintaining its unique charm. The new university simulator of Two Point Studios doesn't lack options and it manages to have a very deep gameplay without making the game harder to get into. The renowned attention for the life and the needs of the "little people" in the game is well implemented and never annoying. If you love simulation games you really shouldn't miss Two Point Campus.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a really good platformer that deserves to be rediscovered or discovered for the first time. The art direction may not be top of the line, but it works well, and the level design is even over the top. The pacing of the game is also excellent, providing longevity to a relatively compact experience without letting it slip into banality or repetitiveness.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a great first person shooter that mainly focuses on plot, characters and gunplay. It's not perfect, but fans of the series will be pleased with what MachineGames has accomplished.

ElecHead is so simple and intuitive looking that you won't even need a tutorial to start playing and enjoying the game right away. Nama Takahashi's game can be finished in a single session and doesn't excel in replayability due to it being a puzzle platformer but you're going to be entertained by every moment of it while traveling through its brilliant level design. If you're looking for an experience that will make you remember why you love gaming then not giving ElecHead a chance would really be a crime.

Wargaming takes off and moves war's focus behind the clouds, without making any mistakes in the process. World of Warplanes is a great game: it stands tall and can sit beside its bigger brother, World of Tanks, with pride and honor. It can be difficult sometimes, but it's always rewarding.

Pikmin 3 is the best game in the series, but that's not enough to define it as a masterpiece. Game mechanics are effective and funny, thank to a flawless control system, but the absence of a true online mode and the lack of real new features don't help to differentiate the game from its predecessors. Anyway, this is a game that every Wii U owner should at least try, and the proof that Nintendo still is the master in terms of game design.

One of the finest Wii games make its "return" on the 3DS. Monster Games managed to squeeze the brilliant level design and the epic challenges of the original game in this 3DS port. Some minor visual problems keep it a step away from the original Retro Studios game, but it's absolutely still worth playing.

Call of Duty WWII is a really neat package. The campaign, even if still too predictable, is powerful and enjoyable (while it lasts). Headquarters and War Mode give a new coat of paint to the PvP, and Nazi Zombies is a tough and deep experience.

DMC is a really nice game as well as the QLOC PC porting. Significant visual impact, flawless optimization, good performances even with medium-low hardware configurations. It's a game that takes some distance from the previous installments of the saga and the white-haired Dante no longer exists, but is it really a problem?
