Bowser's Fury is a BowerStein creature, hybrid, short and chunky, more like a pot-pourri a bit under the usual creative standard from Nintendo. Still, it supports a mutiplayer classic from the Wii U era.

Death Stranding 2 isn't a bad game. It's a beautiful game. But it disappoints precisely where the first one was astonishing: by levelling out the difficulty, rendering the journey anodyne, watering down what made the original game a tough, unforgettable experience. Here, Kojima seems to have given in to the temptation of comfort and past criticism, delivering a game that is more accessible but less meaningful. Far from extending his vision, On the Beach seems to mark his running out of steam.

A bit fastidious sometimes, often original, Metroid Dread is kinda stuck between two worlds. Handling the game is counter-intuitive, but there's some great new additions and you'll find a well balanced difficulty. The game brings a new slice of mythology that has been expected forever now.

This new opus is a great opportunity for everyone who dreamed of trying out the Monster Hunter licence but never dared to do so. Nonetheless Monster Hunter Rise find itself oversimplified because of its new features for most of the saga’s regulars.

All the craziness and narrative talent we expect from Double Fine but the gameplay is a little too nostalgic. This is a good way to discover the old fashioned way of doing plateforme games, but Psychonauts 2 lacks in rhythm and intuitiveness.

Hi-Fi Rush is a nice surprise from Tango Gameworks. The originality of the combat system, halfway in the world of rhythm games, is a gimmick that gives the game its strength but also its biggest weakness, making it repetitive. With ten hours to finish the game, it's not a torture either.

Bizarre and badly paced, Bayonetta 3 let us capture the DNA and outline of a fun game with great replayability, but weighed down by a slightly too messy energy.

Heretic + Hexen gives you the chance to (re)discover some legendary FPS games in better conditions, with a little extra to boot, and all at an optimal price: less than 15 euros.

Star★Vaders captivates with its artistic direction and respectful homage to Space Invaders. Its high difficulty and demanding tactical choices make it a niche but successful game. A title to keep an eye on, especially if future updates add new features and correct its few shortcomings.

This Echoes of Wisdom is a clever subversion, but a little more intrusive than it would like to be, due to complicated mapping and a few situations inherent in this philosophy. A minor Zelda game but one whose radicalism is commendable.

An original and engaging gameplay concept built around a strong dual-character idea, but quickly dragged down by repetition, lack of challenge, and a weak narrative that prevents Pragmata from truly taking off.

We suspect The Alters of having been too ambitious for what it can deliver, and yet the efforts that have been made are plain to see. The result is cool, but only part of the ambition has been mastered.

Blasphemous 2 is a more than competent Metroidvania, diminished only by a sometimes unfair difficulty and a second half that is a bit too controlling.

A leap of two console generations without betraying the original, with a few minor additions and quality of life. The Bravely Default saga has never been better, so you'll just have to swallow this unlikely second half.

LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight Legacy is a safe bet—perhaps even too safe. It checks all the expected boxes without ever taking any risks. Worse still, it tries to have it both ways without ever fully satisfying players on either front. Fans will undoubtedly find something to enjoy, thanks in particular to the richness of the universe and the numerous references. But those hoping for a more significant evolution of the formula may be left wanting. This new installment of LEGO Batman thus fulfills its purpose with diligence. Accessible, generous, and faithful to the spirit of the franchise, it offers a pleasant and familiar adventure—for better or for worse... Another brick in a solid edifice, but one that could certainly use a bit of a refresh.

A brave and interesting take on the Pokémon universe, but terribly flawed technically. If you can overcome this production's shortcomings, you'll be able to answer the usual call for adventure, still here for players old and new.

It’s in old pots that the best soups are made. At least, that’s what my grandmother used to say whenever she wanted to make us eat her old soup. Here’s a formula that works, pushed to its absolute limits, and sprinkled with the excellent universe of The Outer Worlds. The result is an adventure that will be ideal for the biggest fans of the genre, despite its imperfections, inconsistencies, and sometimes rough system balancing.

It's nice to get back to Subnautica for more narration and survival in this intriguing SF world built by Unknown World. But Below Zero feels like it aimed for more and didn't achieve it. We're left with a nice new story and great environments, but also a bit of frustration.
