Song of the Deep is a good game you should play for its emotional story which is more complex than it initially seems. The mechanics are interesting and the fact that we don’t usually get many underwater adventures adds to its appeal. While there are problems—like the visual artifacts and storytelling decisions mentioned earlier—the story and gameplay make up for them.

Overcooked is possibly one of the best smaller titles out on console right now.

With such a broken and frustrating experience, the story fades behind the utterly teeth-gnashing music and you quitting altogether. I liked the game, but it needs more polish. A lot more polish.

Ninja Pizza Girl tries to make a fun game that tackles important issues like self-esteem and bullying, and fully succeeds. Once I picked up Ninja Pizza Girl, I rarely put it down.

Demanding $50 for Ghostbusters which is clearly designed as a much smaller title is unforgivable and honestly, approaching fraud.

Console gamers will be pleased with the experience and it seems like the Xbox One port was designed for new players in mind. I would definitely recommend it because the sheer enjoyment you get out of Kerbal Space Program overcome its problems.

Maldita Castilla is fun, enjoyable and one of those games that will really give you something to work towards, and when you do defeat that boss in the game, you feel like you actually achieved something worthy of that achievement, even if they don't give you one.

While Fru might not be as long as you would like, it’s still a phenomenal experience which every Kinect owner should purchase.

Pharaonic is a game that holds great potential given its Egyptian setting, but with it taking itself too seriously it forces the player to make the choice between taking a loss or pushing through way too early in the game.

Land It is not a bad game, it’s an incredibly average game that is more suited to a phone or tablet than it is on a console.

It’s great. I think it’s by far the best game Virtual Air Guitar Company has made so far. It’s more engaging than their previous titles and elevates Kinect-based experiences to a new level.

The first sign was the surreal, underwater environments that make up the inside of the titular beast’s body. This was followed by the engaging music and sound design, the stellar performance and the overall length and variety of gameplay.

Full Mojo Rampage is a fantastic game despite its erratic and surprising difficulty. It’s gorgeous and features annoyingly addictive music. If you love roguelike titles be sure to give this one a go.

Inside is a masterpiece waiting to be played and a worthy successor to Limbo that is just as thought-provoking, if not more. Playing through even one section of the game, the amount of polish and attention to detail is apparent. Not many games stick with me after the credits roll, but Inside is one of those rare few.

With the right power-ups and speed, Carmageddon can eventually become a beautifully manic game full of offensive humour and gratuitous gore. While this may be the best Carmageddon game, Carmageddon was sadly never that great to begin with.

This game is worthy of a purchase for both fans of the series and newcomers to it like myself. If you find Dark Souls your bread and butter, and you've been looking for a top-down experience similar to that, give this game a go. If you find yourself easily enraged by games where the difficulty is wildly unbalanced, give this one a skip.

While the game can be fun in short bursts, the gameplay loop is designed around you playing for extended periods of time. This, combined with subpar visuals and fairly simplistic gameplay, makes Lost Sea an unrecommendable title compared to similar games on Xbox One.

Although the visuals are indeed terrible, they are the least of this game’s problems. I was wrong to be optimistic; I’ve played plenty of dreadful games on Xbox One, but this is one of the worst ones yet.
