If you are looking for a good reason to hop back on Forza Horizon 3, this is an amazing one. With some of the most intense racing I’ve experienced in years...for $20 you simply cannot go wrong.- ICXM

Inside is a masterpiece waiting to be played and a worthy successor to Limbo that is just as thought-provoking, if not more. Playing through even one section of the game, the amount of polish and attention to detail is apparent. Not many games stick with me after the credits roll, but Inside is one of those rare few.- ICXM

I enjoyed every second of it. Everything about Oxenfree was such a joy to experience. From the pacing to the art style to the story and characters, all of it meshed together so beautifully.- ICXM

Is the game for everyone? Well, that depends in the end, since the game does offer a challenge for each type of gamer while keeping it simple for the novice. It can use some adjustments, mainly in the time-lapse department as it can become quite slow off the bat. However, the game earns its stripes and is a must-have title on Xbox One this year.- ICXM

What Remains of Edith Finch reminded me why I love video games. For the past few months, I’ve been in a bit of a slump and haven’t enjoyed too many games. Nothing really clicked with me. What Remains of Edith Finch changed that. I love video games because they have the ability to tell stories no other medium can tell, at least not in the way What Remains of Edith Finch does. I could see this game as a book but I truly don’t believe it would carry the same emotional resonance that it would in that form. The stories are told in such unique ways, and even though this particular title falls into the genre of a “walking simulator”, it manages to be one of the best video games I’ve played in a very long time.- ICXM

The controls are tight and responsive, and the music is still satisfying to listen to. Both new environments were wonderful additions to the game and fit seamlessly into the map.- ICXM

A masterpiece that offers you an epic driving experience in an open world environment. It has been refined and greatly improved upon from the previous games especially when it comes to visuals.- ICXM

Bastion is an extraordinary game and as you might have gathered from this review, I can’t recommend it enough. Aside from the gameplay and story, it offers a lot of replayability in the form of weapon challenges which require tremendous skill to complete.- ICXM

The blending of word game and RPG mechanics has created a game that reeled me in hook, line, and sinker. The gameplay loop of collecting gems, failing, upgrading, and progressing had me returning to this game night after night. The smooth controls and visuals made my addiction pleasurable. I cannot recommend Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey enough. It is an ambassador for the turn-based, word-based, role-playing game. Even if it is the only game in the genre.- ICXM

Gone Home is a phenomenal game and should be considered an achievement for the entire gaming industry. It takes conviction to tell a story like this. I can't give Fullbright enough credit for making this game. The game is filled with masterful storytelling and real life lessons. It nails the mysterious atmosphere perfectly.- ICXM

Torment: Tides of Numenera is an infinitely complex game which no review can truly capture. The sheer number of side quests, characters, dialogue choices and endings require that the game be played multiple times. Brian Fargo and his team have created an absolutely stunning experience—I just wish it was as technically sound on Xbox One as it is on Windows 10.- ICXM

Overall, Nier: Automata is a phenomenal game filled with great gameplay, world building, amazing storytelling, and it even poses some interesting questions. There’s so much to love about this game and it has spawned dozens of think pieces from various websites on the topics posed in the game. I truly believe Nier: Automata is easily an early Game of the Year contender for 2017. If you own a PlayStation 4 or have a Windows machine capable of running it, you have to give this game a try.- ICXM

Despite its short length and constrained gameplay, it tells an intriguing story with multiple layers and given its low price of admission, I heartily recommend it. My only complaint would be that I wish the game allowed you to interact with your environment more and explore it to a greater degree. While there are secrets which need to be discovered through multiple playthroughs, that sense of being caged never goes away. However, that doesn’t detract from the gameplay and Virginia is unlike anything else you’ve ever played before.- ICXM

The graphics look crisper even though they aren’t a substantial upgrade over the original. The controls have seen the biggest improvement and it plays even better on Xbox One. While I wish the gameplay was more complex, the title is still a solid entry in the real-time strategy genre.- ICXM

Resident Evil 7 is not only one of the greatest and scariest modern survival horror games in recent memory, but a fantastic return to form for one of Capcom’s greatest series. With photorealistic, repulsively-disgusting environments, interesting and unique characters combined with impactful and visceral combat, Resident Evil 7 is the most fun I’ve had with a Capcom title since the original Dead Rising.- ICXM

Overall, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a remarkable experience despite the performance issues and odd multiplayer mode which is basically an excuse to incorporate microtransactions into the game. It’s one of the best stealth titles I’ve ever played and isn’t daunting or frustrating like, let’s say, Hitman.- ICXM

Apart from the lighting, I can’t really complain about anything. The performance is solid and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has never looked better. Just our of curiosity I went back to the PC version and this remaster looks so much better even on consoles. The developers need to be applauded. For those of you who were wondering if Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was worth it, I can tell you without a shred of doubt that it definitely is.- ICXM

Overall, Episode 2: Under Pressure is one of the finest Telltale installments in years. It still suffers from the same animation problems as all of Telltale’s works, but the writing, characters and plot are all on point for a fantastic episode. Let’s hope they can keep it up for next time.- ICXM
