There are some good elements in the game, as always, but they’re bogged down by uninspiring gameplay.- ICXM

Active Soccer 2 DX tries to bring back the fun experience of a football video game like the Sensible Soccer games rather than the realistic aspects like FIFA and PES but, unfortunately, it has some issues at the moment, such as the clumsy menus, the glitched player animations, and the buggy football rules system that seems to have a random situation.- ICXM

Overall, Shred It! is a pretty fun and addictive game you should play if you see it drop down to $5 or less and just want a game to play for a few minutes while another game downloads in the background. While it doesn't fully translate well on Xbox One, it mixes fun and intense gameplay into a beautiful world.- ICXM

Shadwen attempts to mesh the genres of stealth-action and puzzle games in order to create a unique experience in an original medieval world, but its time-control mechanics have little purpose other than to conceal the broken AI and the tedious gameplay.- ICXM

While I was a big fan of the free version of Doodle God, I cannot recommend Doodle God: Ultimate Edition. The main reason is that there is not enough of a difference to consider this game “Ultimate.” The lack of some ads and the ability to complete the game without waiting for my “energy” to recharge is not enough to warrant a premium version of the free game. This is only amplified by the awkward controller inputs. I really hope the next Doodle God puts Xbox players first if they want to be taken seriously on our platform of choice.- ICXM

The title’s inaccessibility is its biggest problem. However, if you can look past that and come prepared by watching playthroughs or reading guides, Pixel Piracy will keep you hooked for dozens of hours.- ICXM

With the right power-ups and speed, Carmageddon can eventually become a beautifully manic game full of offensive humour and gratuitous gore. While this may be the best Carmageddon game, Carmageddon was sadly never that great to begin with.- ICXM

I have heard that the co-op at least offers the fun of another player, but I can’t imagine anyone would find this game entertaining for more than a single session. Between the repetitive quests, boring gameplay, and numerous glitches, I’d recommend skipping AereA entirely. The thing is - music-themed games with retro inspiration can be done well; this just isn’t one of them.- ICXM

Skyling is a port of a mobile isometric maze game that is shoved onto Xbox One with no thought or effort put in. The controls are often unresponsive and usually cause you to die.- ICXM

While the performance and loading issues detract from the experience, they can easily be remedied in my opinion and the developers have promised patches to fix them. I’m glad I gave Homefront: The Revolution a fair chance because it’s a really good title.- ICXM

Ready at Dawn took a fun concept and churned out a rather average game. The gameplay itself is good, but little content and meaningless progression make it unappealing. New multiplayer modes and additional features in the future could improve it with the proper support, but Deformers lacks any real hook in its current form. It’s hard to recommend Deformers to anyone when it costs $30 and is packed with insufficient value to warrant that price.- ICXM

It's great to see a game that still tries to keep old couch competitive multiplayer gameplay alive, but unfortunately, In Space We Brawl isn't exactly the best game out there for that. The game fails to keep the player interested in it for more than a couple of games until the lack of variety and overall claustrophobic and chaotic arenas start to slowly take the fun out of it.- ICXM

Apart from the graphics and premise of shooting aquatic paranormal creatures, there really isn’t much here. This is a shame because the concept is so unique that it just feels like a wasted opportunity.- ICXM

In its current state I can’t recommend Adam’s Venture: Origins to anyone on Xbox One. If you have a decent gaming machine, go and buy it on Steam. It’s cheaper and a much better experience even on modest devices.- ICXM

Obviously a significant problem from the start is improving the controls. The constantly-changing camera angle and sluggish movement would make it difficult for many gamers, regardless of disability. It’d be great to have more auditory cues in the soundtrack as well, to improve accessibility for gamers with vision loss. Although it might detract from the aim of creating a tense environment—which I’d argue isn’t present anyway—a map of the house that fills in as you explore would make the game instantly much more accessible.- ICXM

For all its faults, the game follows a very close template to highly successful games like Velocity 2X, and for that this game shines with its unique design and gameplay mechanics. Even though it's just a small indie developer, I see great things on the horizon and do hope they offer better controller support, and maybe even a release on Xbox One in the future. But for now, if you're looking for a very fun game, I would highly recommend it.- ICXM

Coffin Dodgers could have been the Kart-racer that fans of the genre were waiting for. It also could have been good. Instead, Coffin Dodgers is an extremely limited and mediocre attempt at creating a Kart-racer that somehow manages to stutter along on hardware that should far exceed the requirements of this title. This, along with its low texture quality, low-poly models and basic to the point of boring gameplay—Coffin Dodgers looks and plays as old as its cast.- ICXM

Verdun is a perfect example of why PC games cannot just be copied to console without care and thought. Poor graphics, server connection issues, and terrible controller remapping hold this game back from being successful on console. In addition to being needlessly inaccessible, Verdun spoils the potentially interesting content it has to offer with crashes, lag, and disconnections.- ICXM

While initially ‘Slain!’ seems like it should be a great product with its gorgeous pixel-art, it only takes a small time for everything to fall apart thanks to countless bugs, repetition and God-awful combat. ‘Slain!’ needs to be improved in almost every aspect before I can even think of recommending it to anyone, metal-fan or not.- ICXM

Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing is dull. It’s boring. Bad AI mixed with awful physics and a progression system that causes the game to be infuriating from the get-go, Rock 'N Racing is one of the worst racers I’ve played on the Xbox One.- ICXM
