WRC 5 looks really good. Changing the development team to Kylotonn had a clear impact on the quality of the game. Right now there's no point in comparing the new WRC game with the early-access DIRT. The most important thing to remember is this: WRC 5 is simply good. Still pretty far from ideal but a big step in the right direction.

Risen 3 is a game tailor-made for a fan of Piranha Bytes' games. The first Risen was too eager in copying Gothiks, and Dark Waters was a bit too weird at times. Titan Lords is a great middle ground. It's a game in a well known universe with better combat system, an improved character development mechanic and a big, rewarding world to explore.

Pro Cycling Manager 2013 is a well done and playable sports manager, but it won't revolutionize the series or the genre. The biggest issues that the developer has to address are the economics and stability. The game is technically flawed and many times a well thought out tactic lost to a crash to desktop. What is more, there isn't much to do, besides giving commands to your cyclists. Fortunately the races are as thrilling as always.

You can invest your money in The Baconing if you're a person, who has enjoyed previous installments of the series. But I can easily recommend it to people who are new to Deathspank. The only condition - you have to be ok with monotonous bashing of hundreds of enemies and crave some absurd humor.

Aven Colony is a well made city-building strategy game. Well-known solutions were improved and the end result makes you play for hours at a time. The "just one more building" syndrome is strong with this one - even irritating music and occasional graphical issues don't matter that much. Aven Colony is simply a good game.

It seems that the Giant Software team has prepared the field to be cultivated but forgot to plant some seeds. A handful of new things and a new batch of machines and tools isn't enough to cover up lots of bugs in the mechanics and physics engine. Of course - Farming Simulator 2013 is being patched up, but is has too few interesting changes and too many old problems. Fans will play this game, but I believe everyone expected something more.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is an uneven game. Making Sherlock younger and having him take part in action scenes was a good idea but the execution is poor at best. Still there are some excellent mini-games, interesting investigation and a truly great deduction board. If only the game handled it's characters better it would be glorious. The end result is ok but the potential is far from being fully realized.

New Battlefront has an extremely mediocre single player campaign, which is as far from a viable reason to buy this game as it can be. The multiplayer mode provides lots of fun but at the same time it suffers from lootboxes which disrupt the balance on the battlefield. Star Wars: Battlefront II is a good game dragged down by bad business practices of the publisher.

Shadow of the Beast is not a real remake but at the same time it's not a modern, stand-alone title. There are lots of archaic mechanisms in place but all in all I had a very good time. This is a very graceful retelling of the Beast story (mostly for older players), unfortunately without much perspectives for a future sequel.

Farming Simulator 15 has some improvements, lots of things remain unchanged, and some are even worse than before. Woodcutting and prettier graphics are welcome additions but a ton of simple programming mistakes and a comical driving model cast a shadow on all the good things. As usual - the game is uneven and many parts of the gameplay need to be fixed. Still, fans should be pleased.

Silent Hill: Downpour is a game full of extremes. A good story, great hallucinations and interesting puzzles make you want to play. Weak graphics, no tension gradation and a terrible fighting mechanic make you want to stop.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation brings no shame to the original game. Guys from The Farm 51 took their job seriously and tried to freshen up the series the best way possible. Younger gamers have the opportunity to look how FPS games looked almost a decade ago, and older gamers get to go back in time but with really nice graphics. Hell & Damnation, despite old mechanics - is a game that's worth checking out. Killing hordes of demons is very pleasant.

WRC 4 is a decent game, but I have no doubt that a more talented team would have made it something great and a true knock-out for the competition (that barely exists, to be honest). The new WRC game fails in terms of content and new things and that's the result of wanting to deliver a new game once a year. WRC 4 continues the path taken by its superior predecessor, but lacks a strong punch.

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is a game build according to rules existing ever since The Walking Dead became a huge success. This six episode story is engrossing, offers lots of emotions and forces the player to make difficult choices but the illusion of non-linearity disappears during replays. And, of course, there is very little interactivity in this "interactive series" but fans of the genre, HBO's TV show and of George R.R. Martin's books should be happy.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 for the PS Vita is a game that brings up mixed emotions. On one hand we have a satisfactory gameplay, lots of humor and things to unlock that sholud provide at least a dozen hours of fun. On the other hand, the game is technically flawed and lacks a basic co-op mode.

We're judging Elex 2 by the amount of progress made since its predecessor. The developers didn't waste time and did a terrific job for such a small team. Elex 2 is still pretty crude, but it has been polished much better than Elex 1.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a breath of fresh air in the sandbox/survival genre. At the same time, the original atmosphere and compelling gameplay is blended with some subpar elements that ought to discourage many players - and there's too much repetitiveness.

A waek game in almost every aspect - the most painful being missing licences and castrated game modes, that were supposed to be the biggest advantages of this game. Well made stadiums, supporters' songs and new commentary track are not enough to justify a high price tag.

A game full of possibilities and excellent ideas. Unfortunately - there are many disappointments: absurd limitations is terms of the area that can be used for a new city kills creativity, and Glassbox technology has some issues that interfere with an idyllic metropolitan life. The developers have concentrated too much on cooperation and social elements and have forgotten basic gameplay elements. You play and have a very strong feeling that the game isn't polished enough. And when you consider monstrous problems with servers and DRM, you get a game that's simply not very good.

An interactive book with lots of pretty pictures, a virtual movie with a great atmosphere. Kholat is somewhere between keeping the player engaged and making him/her bored. The game's strongest assets are: grim atmosphere and a very interesting place the action is set in. It's worth taking a shot.

If you don't have mad skills or lots of patience, keep away from Redeemer. But if you like bloody gameplay with a really high difficulty level - remember this one. The second half becomes boring and there are some technical issues but its fierce attitude, pretty graphics and low price make it worth your while.

FBC: Firebreak brings us a few interesting moments during a short visit to the Remedy universe. But there is not enough content, guns, cool boss fights, exciting rewards. Not only Firebreak is much worse than single-player Remedy games, it could learn a few things from other co-op shooters as well.

I don't know if I can recommend Q-Force to fans of the series. I think that after 11 games with these heroes, Insomniac Games has hit a wall. It's quite a good and demanding game that, unfortunately, has nothing in common with the "platform shooter" that the fans know and love. Insomniac has some ideas for this brand, but the new game isn't great both as a platformer, and as a tower defense game. Mixing these two elements produces a decent end result, but you should want more from such a developer.

Forspoken isn't for everyone - and this is its strength. Games that spark controversy can be the most interesting. This seems a sign that the developers have successfully realized their vision. Such courage is commendable, especially in the era of clones.

Is Tamagotchi Plaza a pleasant game? Sure. But can I be certain who is it for? Nope. It contradicts itself at every step, and isn’t suitable neither for kids nor adults. I’m a tamagotchi fan, and I was confused more often than not.

Assassin's Creed Rebellion looks like a game aimed at fans of the series who like to pay for things. The combat system is good. The base building system is shallow. The graphics design looks fantastic. Unfortunately, the microtransactions system is just wrong. All in all - Rebellion is a mediocre game.

Assassin's Creed: Chronicles - India is a product that's better than China. The developers are experimenting with their game and as a result Arbaaz's adventures are more interesting that Shao Jun's story. It's not as good as the almost perfect Mark of the Ninja but you can clearly see a step in the right direction. If you liked the previous game you'll be happy with the new Chronicles.

Drastic changes to gameplay can be good, as proven by God of War. Unfortunately, King's Bounty 2 turns out merely an underwhelming experiment. In the past, we got a series of good tactical RPGs focused on combat, seasoned with some character building. Right now, we get a subpar imitation of The Witcher 3, where battles are just a minor addition.

I am genuinely bummed about the state Project Motor Racing is landing in. Where the core gameplay, i.e. the driving itself and a sizeable collection of iconic cars, is well crafted, the clunky AI and damage model, along with really poor optimisation, get in the way of enjoying the game as much as possible.
