The next-gen incarnation of FIFA 14 doesn't offer anything really new except the Ignite engine. EA Sports has improved a really good football game, and right now it is excellent. Animations and object collisions aren't funny anymore, and controlling the ball (even though harder than before) is even closer to the real thing. FIFA 14 on the PS4 looks and feels like watching a real game on your TV.

If you're of age, buy Hotline Miami. It's a great, emotionally heavy game with superb mechanics. It's a bit expensive and offers only a few hour of fun, but it's worth the price for the opportunity to ponder on man's nature. I wouldn't mind, if it was longer. You could appreciate simple, old school graphics, an excellent soundtrack and unique gameplay more. Still - the game's great!

If you haven't had the opportunity to play platformers in some time, you simply have to give Super Mario Bros. Wonder a try. The game is a work of art that can persuade even those skeptical of the Mario franchise - it is so original that it is much, much more than just "another Mario."

A perfectly crafted, complex game that offers loads of fun in single and multiplayer alike. It has a diverse campaign, an arcade mode, co-op mode for 4 people, tons of entertainment in 8 online modes and a worthy plot that summarizes Delta Team's adventures. Microsoft hasn't got many exclusives left, but clearly has some aces up their sleeve and Gears of War 3 is one of the strongest aces there is.

FIFA 13 demonstrates that virtual football in the hands of EA's Vancouver studio is getting closer and closer to perfection. The number of novelties and changes is a very pleasant surprise and should make the owners of 2012 edition want to buy the newest installment. The developers made sure that there will no boredom: frequent updates, additional challenges, many online tournaments and a complex career mode create an image of a complete sports game with tons of things to offer.

Portable version of LittleBigPlanet is a very good game without any bigger flaws. PS Vita finally gets a game that showcases the console's abilities. LBP also demonstrates that mixing classical controls with touch panels makes sense, but it has to be done as an integral part of gameplay and not just a silly gimmick. LBP for PSV is a must buy for all owners of Sony's newest console and it should become an investment for months to come (thanks to creative fans of the series).

The new Deus Ex is a remarkable game that will gather a lot of praise, I'm sure. Its level of complexity made me believe that there are still some developers out there capable of creating an original action game filled with content that is aimed at a demanding gamer. For me Human Revolution is a worthy counter-part for the original Deus Ex, something that BioShock was supposed to be for System Shock 2: a complex action RPG, not a simple shooter with some story turning some pipes as the most challenging puzzle.

Left Behind delivers more emotions that many mass-produced stories about saving the world. Naughty Dog has created a great script and delivered extremely likable and realistic main characters. This DLC offers something more than emotional storytelling - stealth levels are really great as well. Simply put - it's a must have for all fans of The Last of Us.

NBA 2K12 is one of the best sporting games in history. Visual Concepts and 2K Sports continue their best traditions - the new NBA is a step towards perfection. Even though it has some flaws (mainly technical), it's difficult to find a game that suits the definition of a perfect virtual basketball production better. It'a complete game with a variety of modes and content that guarantees months of serious gamepad training.

It’s completely normal that the next installments of a sports series evolve slowly. Fortunately, sometimes there is a revolution – F1 23 is one such example. The game is well thought out, has some excellent changes, and has a terrific steering/traction model that makes it one of the best sports games ever.

Forza 4 is great, probably the greatest, but still it lacks a breath of fresh air. It's a polished, upgraded, patched up, expanded Forza Motorsport 3. Or at least it's what Forza 3 should have been in the beginnig. Still - the game sucks you in and that's the best recommendation I can give.

Even though Company of Heroes 2 has some issues, the fact is this: it's a truly great game. Evolutionary changes made by the developers turned out to be an excellent choice. Fans of the original Company of Heroes are getting the same game, but superior in every way (and enriched with some cool new things). Relic's game is a must have for dynamic strategy game enthusiasts - it is the best RTS set during WWII.

What we have here is one of the best Alien games – ever. Aliens: Dark Descent not only offers a tremendous atmosphere evocative of James Cameron’s blockbuster, but also a very well-crafted gameplay that exceptionally combines multiple genres.

A big surprise. Very few would bet on Volition's new game and as it turns out Saints' adventures are an addictive sandbox game full of absurd sense of humor and break-neck action. The storyline pulls you in from the beginning, level variations exterminate boredom and the streets of Steelport are full of additional things to do that make the game last longer.

The new edition of PES does not offer a revolution. But you need to remember that Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 doesn't need one - it's a great sporting game that just got a little better. Ball control improvement and additions in Master League are welcome, but the small number of licenses is not (as usual). But all in all it's still a very good game.

A follow-up that doesn't disappoint. What's more - it's simply a great game that should appeal to the veterans of the series (they can stop worrying about their favorite bald-headed assassin), as well to those players about to meet Agent 47 for the first time. The finished product is not only very complex, but extremely playable thanks to great freedom and rich content that provide high quality fun for hours.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope takes advantage of all the good stuff that always worked great, and expands it with a hefty amount of stuff new and improved. If you haven't played the first game, just start with the sequel. It's much better.

Nioh shines! The fighting system is satisfying, Diablo-like loot and character development motivate you to keep playing, and gameplay mechanisms reminiscent of Dark Souls complete the image of a really good game. It combines well-known elements but in the end becomes something else entirely.

FIFA 15 is pretty much one of the best football games out there. The Ignite engine works flawlessly and delivers a new quality, and playing with the football became more demanding, fluent and much less predictable. I have played an early version of the game a while ago, and it didn't seem like FIFA 15 was going to be good. But it is. Very much so. "Just one more game" syndrome is present and everyone should fall under its charm.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has a hauntingly beautiful, unnerving world, and when you leave it, it's like waking up from a very complex dream. The game is extremely pretty and demands some interpretation and asking of the right questions. The Astronauts' first game has many little details, and none of them are accidental. Everything is well thought out and the gameplay walks hand in hand with the story. There should be more games like this.

The Last of Us is an excellent action adventure game with superb graphics and audio and really great characters. The game shows us a quite realistic vision of a cataclysmic future, and at the same time is a very good shooter mixed with high quality stealth game. The Last of Us is a linear adventure, but this is a good kind of "corridor" story that offers some freedom and doesn't limit your imagination. What is more, it's one of the most mature games in history.

Mario isn't for everyone - that's self-evident. But Super Mario 3D All-Stars combines three games so good that all platformer fans out there simply have to own it. Even if you already know Mario 64 and Galaxy from WiiU, it's still worth buying the set just for Sunshine. Even at full price. Not even kidding.

The Medium is not only the best game from the Bloober Team but also one of the greatest virtual psychological horrors out there. It's on the same level as the masterpiece I consider What Remains of Edith Finch to be. And if you accept the lack of survival and action elements in the gameplay, you'll get a great heir to the Silent Hill series. If you prefer story and atmosphere over typical action - it's a game for you.

Battlefield 1, DICE's newest baby, leaves its competitors in the dirt. It's a full-fledged installment in the series, a game on the Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3 level. A game that offers an eagerly awaited atmosphere of a real historical conflict. BF1 officially ends all this futuristic and plastic warfare nonsense and returns to the roots.

I appreciate the fact, that developers have made their homework. Tekken 8 has all the things I wanted it to, ane even more. Right now this is the best instalment of the series (since the near-perfect Tekken 5) and the best current-gen fighting game.

There's no denying, that Amplitude Studios' debut is spot on. There's epicness and complexity that make the player use tactical thinking, teach management, panience and provr that war isn't always the key to victory. Despite a few setbacks, Endless Space is a very well made, relaxing game. It's no revolution but clearly shows that 4X games won't be forgotten.

Despite some hard-to-miss flaws, Assassin's Creed: Origins makes one hell of an impression. The game is such a big leap from AC Syndicate, the same way ACII was an improvement when compared to the first game. Fans of the Assassin universe simply need to play this game. Ubisoft proves that they still have something interesting to say in their biggest franchise.

Persona 3 Reload is distinguished from the series by its darker tone, bolder twists and stronger main storyline. The revamped and slightly simpler gameplay makes this installment of the series an ideal entry point for new players and a tribute to veterans of the original, who can finally experience an (almost) definitive edition of this game on modern platforms.

Many people have been expecting L.A. Noire to be Rockstar's answer for Mafia II. They are bound do be disappointed - the games don't have much in common. Team Bondi's game is a detective story, a new generation of adventure games, an original, unusual and extremely absorbing product. I had the best time playing L.A. Noire. I grew to like Cole Phelps and was glad to help him fight evil lurking in dark corners of The City of Angels, especially that each case was interesting and intriguing on its own.

Ultimately, Battlefield 6 is simply a really, really good entry in the series. Not as good as Battlefield 4 , but definitely the best in years. It already makes me want to play match after match and unlock every available weapon and attachment, and I think that feeling will only intensify as the game develops. The somewhat reduced scale and increased emphasis on infantry might seem controversial, but ultimately, it's still incredibly addictive. And who knows, maybe we'll get larger maps focused on tank battles in the future? However, such speculation aside, Battlefield 6 is already a game worth recommending upon release. No other game on the market offers this kind of experience, and here most of the gameplay elements have been meticulously crafted. All that's left is to wait for the servers to fill up with players and then get into the fight.

At the start of its early access run, Masters of Albion shows no signs of reinventing the god simulator genre – because it doesn’t even come close to that subgenre; it merely pretends id does. It’s just a run-of-the-mill game: colourful and pretty, with an exciting building system and a story you can play through. And that’s about it, because the rest is either in its infancy or simply not very interesting.
