Hotline Miami 2 is everything we knew from the original turned up to 11. Some things could have been crafted differently (especially the way the story is presented) but the end result is stunning nonetheless. Hotline Miami 2 is the best incarnation of the series and a must buy for every fan of the original. Everyone else should wait for a price drop - this game can make you crazy frustrated.

The Dark Eye: Chains of Setinav is Just one example of a reborn genre of classic adventure games. It's a game that deals with the subject in a very typical way, but shows a technological direction for other developers to follow. It's one of a few games that draw so much from a real fable – the atmosphere amazed me. It's a very good game that lacks some final polish.

Tell Me Why is best experienced as an interactive move - discovering the unusual story of the Ronan siblings from this angle yields an extremely compelling experience. DONTNOD's new game is worth your time and money not only because it has something important to say, but also because it does so in an extremely satisfying, and gracious way.

I didn’t enjoy Boltgun that much. However, I’m sure it will appeal to gamers who don’t pay a lot of attention to gameplay balance or difficulty level. And if they are fans of the W40K universe and old-school first-person shooters, they will most likely love it.

Against the backdrop of previous installments, No More Heroes III seems somewhat underwhelming, but it still brings a bloody mayhem dripping with absurdity. It's a lot of fun despite some setbacks (especially the technical side, ugh!), and it can easily be recommended to all adult Nintendo Switch owners. Don't say it's too weird, just try it.

South of the Circle tempts gamers with pretty, stylized graphics, a promise of a movie-like experience, and an emotional storyline. And it delivers.

All in all, the Leviathan DLC is a really good product. We get 4 completely new locations, a handful of new systems to scan, that generate new War Assets, some gear and one new ability (dominate). The most important thing is of course the story - and I pretty much can't say anything bad about it. Leviathan is a tasty piece of code for the lovers of Mass Effect lore, but fans of shooting should be satisfied as well. If you want to keep saving the galaxy as Commander Shepard, it's a great opportunity to do so.

A long time ago, when RTS games reached their peak in popularity, this game wouldn't receive this much attention. But now, Iron Harvest has a chance to become one of the best strategies in years despite copying ideas without providing anything new. Well, maybe the setting is original, but it hasn't reached its potential either.

Alice: Madness Returns is a great example of an oldchool 3D platformer that most certainly won't appeal to most fans of fast action games. It's a game kind of from a different age. The only modern thing about it is having to look for hidden items.

My adventure with VirtuaVerse gave me lots of satisfaction, even if the plot wasn't as gripping as I wanted it to be. What's more, I became bored on more than one occasion. But this unique atmosphere of hacking and retro-tech made me stick to the very end. Point'n'click lives!

Despite a few minor setbacks Pro Cycling Manager 2011 is a game worth recommending to all the fans of cycling. The game's core is at its best but the off-racing zone would benefit from some additional development and tweaking. Nevertheless PCM2011 is an absorbing game and has some really nice graphics. If you are looking for something fresh that will keep you entertained for months (thanks to community's modifications), Cyanide's newest game should meet your expectations.

I'm certain that many fans of Civilization will quickly abandon playing ARA: History Untold. No Civ demands such careful consideration of the smallest details and micro-dependencies from the player. You need to ask yourself: do you want to conquer lands or manage the production of cement and ploughs? If the latter sounds interesting, you're right where you need to be.

Batman: Arkham VR is an interesting and well made adventure. The whole thing may be too short and suffers from some technical issues but getting to know this story directly from Batman's perspective is an extraordinary feeling. We may know the mechanics and atmosphere but the VR really makes it worth your while.

Prototype 2 is a solid game, but I want for it to be the best. Sandbox games tend to keep me entertained for a long time, therefore I like studios that are up for the challenge. Radical Entertainment did their homework - the game has seen a lot of work, but too few good ideas. What really works is the strength of the Prototype itself: it gives the player unique abilities in exchange for some invention.

I like Red Faction: Armageddon as much, as I like Guerilla. Both of them love to destroy everything in sight, even though they are really different games. I think that people who like previous installments of the series will definitely feel at home and should have lots of fun. Lack of an open world is compensated by a well compacted and explosive gameplay. Destruction is really absorbing and a well balanced introduction of novelties keeps the game fresh. It's a pity there is no real multiplayer but it's still a good deal for your money.

When you buy Emio: The Smiling Man, you get a solid visual novel with good detective work throughout the entire game. But I think the developers lost track of what they wanted when they mixed crime and drama storylines, and lost the crime along the way. Plus, the ending is weird, and characters are annoying.

Just Cause 3 is a good game, but it should be better. The open world is phenomenal, chaotic fun makes you smile and graphics are extremely pretty. Unfortunately the gameplay is plagued with minor technical issues, clunky combat and weak storyline. The flaws are small but there is a lot of them - hence a little let down.

I can't say that Total War: Pharaoh is a bad game. It's simply the same well-known game that was spruced up (again) and sold for a full price. But if you wait for a discount, Creative Assembly's newest game should deliver dozens of hours of fun.

Song of Horror is a cool and scary game defined by very old-school elements and a lot of untapped potential. If you can swallow crude animations and the need to repeat many of the stages, you will be fine. If not, even the pretty surroundings and an interesting story may not be enough. Still, it could be much worse.

Blackguards 2 is an improved and expanded version of the tactical fantasy cRPG from a year ago. After introducing many modifications, the battles are more dynamic but still challenging, and the player's frustration level is minimal. Repeating maps encourages trying out new tactics, and a really cool storyline is an additional motivation for playing.

Space Marine is a solid production - worthy of highest Patriarchs' praise. It has some flaws - minor technical issues (mediocre graphics, errors, lags) that fortunatelly fade in the light of Emperor's grace, that the game preaches. And may it do so for a long time.

Can Batman: Arkham Origins be considered a failure? Definitely not, but it certainly is a game without a spark of genius. The developers have used previously constructed assets and prepared a well-crafted ending to the trilogy. It's not as good as Asylum or City, but fans shouldn't be disappointed. Origins is still a very good Batman game - not original, but extremely effective.

Ubisoft did a much better job with Syndicate than with the PC version of Unity. The promise to keep a closer eye on quality control of future Assassin's Creed games has been mostly kept. Still, Syndicate on PC could benefit from additional code optimization. If you don't own a console and enjoy this universe you should be happy with this version.

Far Cry Primal on the PC looks like a well prepared conversion - stable, pretty and optimized. But these days that's not enough - a game running on a much more powerful hardware should be unique and FCP isn't. It's hard to justify spending money on a superb PC that will run the game in the highest settings when an equally good console version runs great on a cheaper machine. And you need to remember that Primal is just a visual overhaul of Far Cry 4.

Magicka is a game that works especially well in cooperation. Single player experience is a good one but this game shows its true potential only when you play with friends, allowing for some great fun. A patched-up Magicka is most certainly worth getting to know. Even more, because it is a solid candidate for 2011's best game in its category.

This interesting FPP puzzle game borrows a lot from Valve's Portal but doesn't surpass it in any way. The puzzles are interesting but repetitive and after a while the gameplay becomes a bit boring. The technical side could also be better but if you like such games, The Turing Test could be a nice surprise for you. The story added on top of the puzzles is definitely worth your time.

The Sims 3: Supernatural is a really well-made expansion that offers long hours of entertainment and opens new ways of experiencing the world. Each character is a new progress path and it would be a mistake not to try them all out. Moonlight Falls has some interesting places that - after dark - lure monsters and are a source of many exciting night encounters. Despite some minor technical flaws, the newest Sims 3 expansion is a great way of providing a new look on this crazy world.

Warriors of the North is a good game that provides many hours of fun, but at the same time leaves a lot to be desired. The developers show too little creativity when it comes to putting interesting new things in their games. Even Warrior Princess offered more in that department: flying, a rebuilt skill system, new locations. This game takes too much from its predecessors and offers not enough new things. King's Bounty would benefit from a revolution - a sequel built from the ground up.

Moving blocks and traversing pixelated waters of Loot River is fun, and I hope the developers will show the game’s full potential in the future. But right now, they need to fix it and make the gameplay more diverse.
