Although the story may be a bit too bizarre for some, the character relationships, dialogue choices and overall effort put into the story makes the game interesting and engrossing.

Enter the Gungeon is slick, smooth and bombastic to play with a deluge of weapons and randomly generated weapons to keep things interesting. While it doesn’t bring anything brand new to the genre, it's still a nail-biting thrill ride of a game worthy of high praise.

Marvel SNAP is a straightforward deck-builder, with simple mechanics and gorgeous card designs that'll keep you playing.

Unsighted is hard enough to be a challenge, but just fair enough to hook you in for one more go. Well worth checking out.

CYGNI: All Guns Blazing is an assault on the senses in the best way possible, with thrilling combat and some gorgeous visuals.

It’s not a classic of its genre, but it is ultimately a beacon of hope for a certain style of RPG – the video game pen and paper style – that many thought had been lost in more recent years.

A licensed simulation that provides the die-hard fans with everything they want, but also allows the newcomer to learn and build and even have a fun arcade thrash around some very pretty tracks? That seems a pretty good template to me. If the limited multiplayer was expanded upon slightly, it would be even better.

Maneater is knowingly imperfect, but presents a very competent open world checklist RPG where you happen to play a shark instead of the usual cop or criminal.

Regardless of negatives, Trials Fusion is still a fun, yet hard-core twitch-based experience that will give you hours of pleasure (depending on your definition of the word), but the best part of it is still the competition it creates with your friends list, and with that in mind, I’ll see you on the leaderboards, folks.

Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash has exceeded all my expectations and is my favourite Senran Kagura game by far.

Natsu-mon: 20th Century Summer Kid is a charming rural romp full of bug catching and recycling, perfect for a stress free evening.

Company of Heroes 3 - Console Edition is a mostly competent port of a very good tactical WWII game, but it still feels like it very much belongs on PC.

Phoenix Springs is an intriguing adventure game with a wonderful setting which it's fun to interact with, but don't expect it to be easy.

The Town of Light is a powerful experience and you’ll certainly be affected by its story. There are a few issues with music breaks and some of the things you’ll see may provide too upsetting, but overall you’ll never forget your time in Volterra.

Jailhouse Block is an action packed episode with some great humour and exciting set-pieces.

Pirate Outlaws is an engrossing deck builder, with plenty of cards to unlock and multiple challenges to endure through fluid gameplay.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is a wonderful and unique fighting game that fans will love, but it takes a lot of dedication to learn how to play.

Monark's creepy setting, tactical combat and banging soundtrack is well worth experiencing, but prepare for some obtuse puzzles.

The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends is a super violent roguelike, with fantastic progression and co-op as well.

Despite being fairly light on story and pigeon-holing its protagonists (I’m sure the only reason the woman is always the “demon” is for an excuse to dress her in tight trousers and make her speak purely in Sass), God’s Trigger is a vibrant, violent romp through Heaven, Hell, and everywhere between.

Miis aren’t for everyone, but Miitopia is easily the nicest and most accessible RPG ever made, and for that it deserves considerable praise.

A beautiful, relaxing puzzler that demands little more than your attention.

PHOGS! is a puzzler aimed at those who want a fun escape and a chilled out experience, but also welcomes them to a place filled with happiness, charm, and comfort.

Magical Delicacy is a charming cosy crafting game, and despite a lack of guidance this cooking adventure will tantalise your gaming tastebuds.
