This is one of those pleasant surprises that sneaks up and grabs ahold of all your gaming time when you least expect it.

It can’t be said enough – the amount of customization and sheer gameplay that is available in this title is simply astounding. While baseball management simulations might not be everyone’s cup of tea, for anyone that has a love of the great American pastime, this is absolutely a title that you should check out.

Borderlands is leading the way with the new FPS/RPG genre. It strikes a comfortable balance between real-time combat and character advancement.

With the game available from retailers now for $10-$15 less than most newer releases, it’s definitely a great way to unleash your inner dictator.

The addition of the Divas, the upgrades to the Royal Rumble, and being able to share all your custom creations with the rest of the gaming world take this from being a really good title to making it a really great title.

Space Invaders Extreme 2 is a fun game, and it will only set you back $20.

Duels of the Planeswalkers isn’t a perfect interpretation of sitting down and playing a few rounds with friends at the kitchen table, but it’s remarkably good all the same.

Axel and Pixel gets full credit for attempting to make a creative, artistic game, but the low difficulty and short length cause it to unfortunately fall short of the mark.

The title is chock full of little details that make it a must-have. While it is a bit on the short side, there are plenty of collectibles to keep you busy after you complete the game, and the entire ride is entertaining from start to finish. In a sea of holiday sameness, how many games can make that claim?

There isn't another game out there that can come close to offering a more movie-like experience and at the same time not short-change the gameplay like in other cutscene-heavy titles.

In the end, we can thank NIS for bringing us another game we typically wouldn’t see, but I would caution most gamers to stay away from A Witch’s Tale.

In a world where multiple save points, extra lives and cheat codes dominate, it's down-right refreshing to see a title step up and proclaim "I am difficult, and that's all right." Demon's Souls is that title, and for that I commend it.

For NBA 10 on the PSP I said that Sony threw in everything but the kitchen sink, and the same holds true this year. The biggest problem is that the developers didn’t really work on improving the actual basketball simulation game.

As it stands, however, I found Fortix a mediocre experience that just didn’t grab me as much as I thought it might.

The bottom line here is that somehow, someway, Bigbig Studios managed to create a Motorstorm game on a handheld system that stands up to the PS3 versions in almost every single way.

Those who have been trying to decide whether or not to get into this game can know it feels like a Monkey Island title and if you've played the previous ones before these new chapters, you'll be able to capture that same feeling again.

If you are fan of the Persona titles, then you should have a good idea of what to expect. Just don't set your expectations too high since playing the previous Persona titles will most likely spoil you to this game and show you how far the Persona series has come.

One could sum up my issues with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 by the liberties that were taken with both the story and the characters. It's the only thing in my mind that keeps the game from being truly great, because the gameplay mechanics and leveling system are really top-notch.

Most of the time when I see a developer change between products, it spells inevitable doom or a watered down shadow of the previous title. In this case, I think Vicarious Visions has taken what Raven started and managed to not only match it but improve upon it.

If you are more a fan of music titles than the Fab Four, then you might be disappointed in the shorter songs and roughly half the songs you’d normally expect for the price. Any way you slice it though, this is good music that folks from almost any generation can relate to - I can’t think of a single band that has ever pulled that off, or ever will again.
