While some problems that weren’t present in the Vita version have made their way into Danganronpa on PC, everything that makes the game great is still intact on the platform.- GamingTrend

You don’t really see games with the level of Polish that Nier: Automata has. The combat is smooth, the story is captivating, the world is alive and evolving, and it’s all backed up by an incredible soundtrack. The game does lack with its textures and can get repetitive at times, but even with those problems the game sets itself apart from most on the market today, and it’s one of the more original and enjoyable titles to play.- GamingTrend

Raiders of the North Sea Digital is a beautiful and fun implementation of a great board game. With the simplicity of placing and removing workers, and quick AI games are short. With a few additional tweaks to the interface and gameplay, it could be even better. Thankfully Direwolf has already released some improvements and is continuing to work to make the game as polished as possible.- GamingTrend

Crisol: Theater of Idols is a slower-paced shooter that is elevated by a stellar setting and unique sanguine gameplay. Siphoning your own blood to slay the enemies of the Sun God is a novel and engaging gameplay mechanic that fits right in to the macabre and creepy setting of Tormentosa, even if the action takes some time to really get going.- GamingTrend

The live-action scenes are a great idea and work well at times, but I also felt they were just put there to move me from race to race. I never fully found myself connecting to any characters or the story.- GamingTrend

Horizon Zero Dawn is an excellent open-world experience that puts fighting towering robots at the center of the action. It’s held back somewhat by its weak narrative, and occasional glitches, but that doesn’t stop it from being the most badass game I’ve played this year.- GamingTrend

Filled with non-sequiturs, excellent writing, fantastic voice work, and hours of minigame and puzzle fun, Sam & Max: This Time It’s Virtual! is a great entry into the entertainment pantheon of lunacy that’ll leave you wanting more. More please!- GamingTrend

Cadence of Hyrule is a perfect blend of classic Legend of Zelda adventure with roguelite rhythm gameplay. It’s a short adventure that can sometimes feel too difficult and chaotic for its own good, but it’s worth sticking through to the end. Not only is it a tremendously fun game, its new take on Hyrule is a joy to explore.- GamingTrend

The best parts of Payday 2 and Left 4 Dead in the gritty Warhammer fantasy universe, with a heavy emphasis on melee combat and loot. There’s tons here for co-op fans, and the emphasis on melee makes it stand out from the rest of the pack.- GamingTrend

A masterful rebuild from the ground up, Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is not only everything you could want in a remaster, it fixes multiple long-standing critical issues with controls, cameras, audio, and so much more. Yes, it's a product of its time, in design and execution, but what PlayEveryWare has delivered is incredible, and I can't recommend it highly enough.- GamingTrend

Rez Infinite is a treat for the senses, and while there might not be a lot in the way of content, you’ll surely come back for more several times. The simple but addictive gameplay will draw you into a musical neon trance that you won’t want to leave, and it’s the perfect length for sharing with friends.- GamingTrend

Ride 5 is more than just a step up from its predecessors. Showing clear ambitions, the game deserves the title when it is referred to as the Gran Turismo of motorcycle simulations. Make no mistake, while it draws inspiration, it's no mere imitation. Ride 5 is truly an exceptional beast, forging its own trail in the racing gaming world. Many bike racing games are out there, but Ride 5 stands tall among them. It doesn't just compete; it contends strongly as the best bike racing game this year. In the podium for the genre, Ride 5 revs its engine to be at the top. Whether you're a pro at motorbike games or a newbie eager to explore, Ride 5 welcomes you with open handlebars. It promises and delivers an unmatched virtual motorcycle racing experience. If you've been on the fence about which bike racing game to get, Ride 5 comes highly recommended. Strap on your virtual helmet and enjoy the ride!- GamingTrend

With fantastic visuals, top-tier voice acting, excellent comedic writing, and an addictive gameplay loop, Borderlands 4 is just freaking fun. While not groundbreaking, the story of Kairos and the Timekeeper is well-done and engaging. Despite some technical issues that will hopefully be resolved quickly, Gearbox’s latest is a game fans won’t want to miss. It’s good to have Borderlands back.- GamingTrend

Praey for the Gods is another showcase of what a small team can accomplish when a far larger team won’t. While the controls can be occasionally floaty, the pure enjoyment of tackling these puzzle monsters is an absolute joy. Don’t sleep on this one – it’s worth your time.- GamingTrend

Like its cousin, RPG Maker, Visual Novel Maker is a simplified, cohesive program which allows anyone to create their own video game. While simplified doesn't mean easy, VN Maker provides a powerful, flexible suite of expandable tools. It is limited by its graphical resources, and offers a small selection of backgrounds and character designs. Those hoping to profit off their games will want to invest in the DLC, as it offers a commercial license in addition to additional features.- GamingTrend

Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher is a humorous mashup between Ultraman and Monster Rancher, allowing you to raise and train your very own Kaiju. It’s quirky and great for passing the time. The battle system could use a little tweaking to resolve issues with Kaiju not being able to land any attacks at all and then losing because the opponent knocked 50 Life down. My Kaiju, Boris, will forever hold a special place in my heart.- GamingTrend

It's somewhat unfair to compare the next-gen console versions to a PC as my video card costs more than both consoles combined. That said, what Rockstar has pulled off here is as close to a PC running at max settings, but with a slightly lower draw distance and less feature-rich anti-aliasing. On the other hand, if you are coming from the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One, the difference is staggering. Most of the time a next-gen native version of a game is just a higher-resolution minimal-effort wallet hug, but here it's clear that the developers are looking to deliver the best version of their most successful game ever, ahead of finally getting another proper installment in the series.- GamingTrend

The Sunbreak expansion only serves to elevate the already excellent experience that Monster Hunter Rise features, with a slew of new monsters, locales, armor, weapons, mechanics, and quality of life updates. It builds on nearly every aspect of the base game, without compromising anything in between. Just know that there is a high barrier to entry, especially for non-hardcore fans, in terms of price, difficulty, and grind.- GamingTrend

Toy Soldiers HD allows players to live out the scenarios they once created as a child playing with toys on a rainy Saturday afternoon, while also providing a complex, stressful, and beautifully crafted strategic experience. I found myself eager to see what was next, to retry levels with better defenses after learning what to expect, and to hop into a multiplayer match (even if I couldn’t at press time). I may not have played the original, so I can’t compare the remaster to it, but if the original was half as good as the remaster then I am sorry that I missed out on this series for so many years.- GamingTrend
