X-Blades has the elements to make a fun hack-and-slash with the pretty half-naked girl, nice variety of magical spells and flashy effects. But the lack of variety, dumb enemy AI, annoying gameplay choices and a truly dislikable main character makes this a rental at best.

Weak gameplay, weak graphics, weak execution, and weak…well everything, add up to….err…one weak game.

If you were expecting a new Pilotwings for the Wii, you’re just going to have to wait.

Tenchu Z is sadly a low point for the series and for stealth games in general. It’s not that it’s a horrible game; it’s just boringly repetitive and not very challenging.

Nevertheless, the usually timed Winter Sports: The Ultimate Challenge is an okay rental choice if you’re looking for brief, sporty mini-games based on Olympic events and aren’t keen on Mario & Sonic lighting your torch.

Should you buy Quake Wars for PS3? Probably not. Should rent it? Maybe, but seeing as how I mentioned there are a slew of better shooters on the platform; make absolutely sure you want to play this before spending any money on it above $15.

Appropriately, during the ending credits John Lee Hooker sings, "Lord have mercy, don't let me go to Vietnam." Gee, I guess he must have played this game too.

At 800 gamer points ($10.00) the game is way overpriced for its few fleeting moments of fun.

By charging above the bargain price-point, this game should've done more.
