Unfortunately the game doesn't feel as fresh two years later, but that shouldn't keep you from having a great time playing through this disaster-filled puzzle game!

Creature Defense mixes up the tried and true tower defense formula by adding cards. For the most part it works, but if you're not already a fan of this style of game you will likely not be won over by this mash-up.

The game sports great controls, a fantastic presentation and more fighters than I know what to do with. Best of all, the game delivers when it comes to deep game modes that will keep the action fresh for months to come.

The only place I felt the game could really be improved outside of more realistic graphics was the control for the overhead view didn’t allow for very accurate rotation. If I wanted to see my zoo from a specific angle, it often took about a minute of adjusting the rotation.

Kasumi's loyalty mission and her abilities as a combat partner are certainly enjoyable, but there won't be enough content to utilize her with if you've already finished the game and don't plan on re-embarking with a fresh start.

GoldenEye 007 is a good DS shooter held back by a few issues.

So it's not quite the stuff of legends, but it's a solid game that has a great cast of lovable characters and a strong battle system, two of the biggest linchpins of any RPG.

While the game is billed as a dreaded party game (usually hit-or-miss), Viva Piñata Party Animals is able to blend the beauty of Piñata Island and it’s original cast a characters into a playable game that is both entertaining and fun to play in a group.

A better package than Legacy, Mark of the Assassin has a great story to tell and is worth picking up if you're a fan of the Dragon Age franchise.

StarDrone Extreme feels so much better than the original release; this game feels as if it was meant to be on the Vita from the start. It has that same old-school, beat-your-school appeal of a classic arcade game and the gameplay fits perfectly with the abilities of Sony's new handheld.

One could certainly argue that Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is nothing more than a glorified expansion pack. But there's definitely enough content in this game to warrant a look, even if you already own these songs in older Guitar Hero games. I just wish Activision would have done more with this idea than throwing us new songs.

Rockstar Games strikes again with another portable game with great graphics, solid controls and tons of content. It may not be their best work, but it's definitely worth checking out!

UFC Undisputed 3 may not be flashy but it gets the job done by recreating the strategy and position game of real MMA matches along with the brutal punches and kicks. Despite an awful mini-game that decides the outcome of submission holds, once you start playing UFC Undisputed 3, it won't make you tap out anytime soon.

Sam & Max return in the darkest, angriest episode yet! Even if it's not as strong as last month's outing, They Stole Max's Brain is well worth your time.

Comic Jumper is a fun action game full of fresh ideas and awesome level designs. Unfortunately, it's marred by dated gameplay and a lot of repetition.

With its unique gameplay and cool art style, Ivy makes a great first impression. The game mechanics get a little tiring as the game goes on, but there's more than enough depth and challenge to warrant the purchase!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 tries to do a lot of things. It doesn't all come off but the end result is more game to play. The core elements are all there, and even if you think the campaign is an abomination, you still have PvP and zombies that don't stray as far from the course—just like you had every other year.

Though not as groundbreaking as the original, the VR remake of The 7th Guest is still a pretty good time. Delivering a corny/spooky story and a big pile of cleverly designed puzzles, this is a fun VR reinterpretation of the classic, with just enough crossover with the original to elicit pleased gasps from fans. While the VR implementation struggles at times, those issues don't completely hamper the overall sense of fun and mystery.

It took six extra months to bring The Godfather to the Xbox 360 and all we get are slightly better graphics and an online leader board. This is still a great action game that is well worth playing, but at $60 you should expect a lot more than a current generation game with a facelift.

Dungeon Hunter has reminded me why I love the action RPG genre. The lackluster story is overshadowed by great gameplay mechanics and a top-notch multiplayer experience. Fans of the genre will find plenty to keep them occupied while they continue to wait for Torchlight 2 and Diablo 3.

Calling this game difficult is a massive understatement. But that doesn't mean you should pass this one up. Anyone looking for a challenge will not be disappointed with Bangai-O HD: Missle Fury.

Despite its AA veneer, Outcast – A New Beginning is a solid open-world RPG. The combat doesn’t carry its weight, but the quirky characters, fun traversal, and open quest system are the real heavy lifters. It feels like a game from a bygone era and in this instance it works.

F.E.A.R 2 is a great game to experience, but repetitive gameplay keeps it from achieving classic status.

Syndicate might not offer the same amount of content as comparable first-person shooters, but the cyberpunk visuals and innovative cybernetic powers combine for a highly-entertaining and worthwhile experience.

There are still nagging programming problems but for the most part, the Pitt does a lot better job at continuing the Fallout 3 experience. I enjoyed the DLC a lot more than the first one and it's nice to see a new and different environment in the game.

Overall, Torchlight 360 is great if simple fun, especially for folks looking for a bit of Baldur's Gate or Diablo nostalgia on the 360.

It's a polished, highly entertaining shooter with a unique setting and loads of Nazis just waiting to be mowed down. It may not be game of the year material, but it's one of the better shooters this year.

If you like the Twisted Metal series, then Head On: Extra Twisted Edition is a no brainer. It’s a great remake with lots of cool extra content. That said, the gameplay is a bit shallow and outdated by today’s standards.

While I didn't enjoy it as much as the first game, Red Faction Armageddon is still worth picking up if only to play with the big box of explosive toys. There are a few great gaming moments in the game but they are held back by a few generic ones.

Solid but not great, the first DLC pack is best when it the content is original. The final boss fight in the game makes the pack worth $10.

While it's not a huge step in improvement for a baseball game, MLB 07 The Show manages some good baseball moments. The bugs and some inconsistent issues leaves it at an above average baseball game though.

I have played a lot of farm sims in my day. Fae Farm is one of the better options available, especially if you have three other friends that you can play along with. Fae Farm falls under the cozy game genre, giving off a relaxed and pressure-free atmosphere more so than hurry up and plant those seeds. It provides diverse customization options, including skin tones and pronoun choices; it also streamlines farming tasks and simplifies tool selection. Crafting and decorating are also present, as well as dungeon exploration. But like a lot of cozy farm-style games, this can feel repetitive after a while. Can Fae Farm hold your attention long enough to see it through? Probably, especially if you can do it with a friend or three.

Some RTS remasters have been terrible, chock full of issues. Age of Mythology: Retold is not one of them. Some bumps, like the terrible, lifeless voice acting are hard to get over. I love the idea of being able to play with a controller, and the support is there, it still doesn’t feel right. The campaign is great once you get into it, and there is plenty to keep a single player happy for some time. This one is hard not to recommend to fans of the RTS genre who like to relive a bit of their younger days, but might be a bit to much to chew off for the casual fan.

Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection isn't exactly the comprehensive compilation that some fans were hoping for, but it does a good job of presenting three solid fighting games for a cheap price. Unfortunately the game is marred by poor online functionality and no extras to speak of. Still, fans of the series will find enough content to warrant the ten dollar asking price!

It's a solid baseball game for the PlayStation 3. The Road to the Show is still fun and there are some nice new additions. It's too bad some of the bugs in last year's version still show up.

You'll have a lot of fun with this new Bionic Commando, but he ultimately plays it safe in his first adventure in twenty years.

NHL 2K10 has made some solid improvements over 2k9, but it's still a ways from all-star caliber.

Dated mission structure and zombie design hold back Toxic Commando to an extent, but Saber Interactive still executed on a couple of fresh ideas. The Swarm Engine’s impressive zombie hordes, satisfying gunplay, and MudRunner-style vehicle physics that shouldn’t work but do are reason enough to grab a few friends and start blasting the undead.

That feeling of mild disappointment is a good way to sum up You Are Empty. It feels a little behind the times and doesn’t fully deliver in every respect, but it’s still fun from start to finish.

Rock Band: Country Track Pack doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does offer a bunch of new songs that haven't even been released on the online music store. If you're a fan of country music and fake plastic instruments, then this collection of songs should be right up your alley.

GoldenEye steps up to the HD consoles, and while it's a bit prettier and has some more room to stretch its legs, it also feels like it's missing a few things, especially the pitch-perfect Wii controls. Regardless, it's still one of this generation's best shooters and Eurocom has done a bang-up job bringing it to the HD consols in such a short time.

Alan Wake's second (and presumably final) episode is going to mess with your head! With its creative level designs and moody atmosphere, this episode reminds me why I enjoyed the original game in the first place. Unfortunately it's short on answers and a little too convoluted for its own good!

The gameplay and style's going to be familiar for those that play Fallout 3, which can be a good and bad thing. Those looking for a huge improvement over Fallout 3 will be disappointed, but fans of the series will enjoy going back into the world again with a huge amount of space to explore. Combat outside of VATS still isn't fun for me, but the gameplay and user interface improvements are nicely done. Bugs, bugs, and more bugs can bring the game to a halt.

ModNation Racers isn't the most original game on the PlayStation 3, but what it lacks in creativity it more than makes up in customization.

MAVRIX is an enjoyable open-world mountain biking game that leans into being more of a sim while remaining accessible. A few features don’t feel fully fleshed out, and the asking price is a little steep for what’s included, but it’s been getting periodic updates since releasing on PC.

It may look like it is based on a Japanese TV show, but I assure you that this game is not based on a licensed property. And maybe that's a good thing, because Draglade proves to be an interesting take on the fighting genre that perfectly fits the Nintendo DS' limited hardware.

Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 is what many would call a love letter to fans. The game is fast, furious, and filled to the brim with bonus content and unlockables.

Puzzle solvers might be left cold by things like online Sudoku considering that it is no more interactive than the ones printed in the newspaper. For them, Crazy Machines 2 offers a type of interactive puzzle solving not available anywhere else.

Metal Slug Anthology sets out to compile seven of the best 2D shooters ever released on the Neo Geo. For the most part it succeeds, but why they chose not to offer Classic Control support is anybody's guess!

Crystal Commanders is a very basic RTS game, played in the coolest way possible. While the gameplay sticks to the RTS playbook, the implementation in Mixed Reality elevates the experience immeasurably. While the brief campaign is serviceable, Crystal Commanders really comes to life with its varied and well-implemented multiplayer options. Controls are a bit fiddly, but sending a battalion across your living room floor to destroy a buddy is reward enough to be worth the occasional struggle to select a unit. Fun, simple gameplay combined with a great use of Meta Quest 3's technical abilities.

If only the developers had made this game more PC friendly, it wouldn’t be such a hassle to adjust to the confusing controls and rather limited in-game options.

Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition offers enough new content to warrant the fifteen dollars. But even with four new characters and some exciting online modes, I still wish there was more to this expansion pack. Die-hard fans will love it, but I suspect most people are ready to move on to the next Street Fighter game!

In summary, Cities in Motion looks to become a solid transportation sim in a colorful package. A comprehensive city model and a wide assortment of transport modes provide a wealth of choices to the aspiring city planner.

A lightweight but still impressive proof of concept for the inevitable day when AI-powered NPCs are the industry standard. Conversing with the bots is fun, and their personality parameters are interesting to toy around with. There isn't a ton of game here, but what is here feels like some crazy science-fiction fantasy I might have had when I was a kid. Warning: Causes fits of laughter in children.

You're not going to find a perfect game in R-Type Command, but what you will find is an engrossing tactical role-playing game that turns the genre on its side.

Namco Museum is a nice way to bring so classic arcade titles to the Switch, but they’re mostly not anything we haven’t seen on past platforms. Playing some classics like Pac-Man, Galaga ’88, and Rolling Thunder on the go is a nice touch and is probably one of the main reasons to get this version of the game. However, with only eleven games (ten not counting Pac-Man Vs.), and a few of those are pretty much staples for Namco collections, a few more additions would have been nice to see, especially games we rarely get on compilations.

Metal Hellsinger is a refreshing take on traditional demon killing, Doom shooting, and rhythm based heavy death metal music. It features some truly immersive and satisfying gameplay mechanics, especially when you click with the beat and blow off demon heads while rocking out to the beat of System of a Down. However, the game’s difficult learning curve and lack of variety may be off putting to some.

Mable and the Wood is a seductively whimsical fantasy adventure with excellent graphics, music and a lot of good ideas, but for the moment it is held back by balance and technical problems.

Xeodrifter is a short but sweet title. It's got some solid platforming, a well balanced difficulty, and a fun weapon system. It's a bit on the short side but is fun while it lasts, especially if you're still fiending for some Metroid-inspired action.

Teslagrad 2 is built for fans of the original. If you're looking for a longer campaign, you'll have to look elsewhere, but if you find a good deal on a bundle, pick it up. Play the first, then the second. Maybe speed run them the second time around. Graphics and sound are amazing, and the game will definitely give a challenge. But that could be where it's electromagnetism stops.

While the game is true to its roots the game just doesn't hold up compared to other remade FPS games like Serious Sam.

Lords of the Fallen is both a shameless Dark Souls rip off and a solid action/adventure game.

I've never played this type of game before, and although I didn't necessarily enjoy every single minute of gameplay, it's memorable for the ideas it presents, and the different ways in which it plays out.

Another World is one of the most important video games of all time. It started the ball rolling for cinematic action games with emotional stories, and it has never looked better than it does on the PlayStation 4. Sadly, the game's short length and barebones package keeps this from being a must own, but the low asking price and three-way cross-buy may make Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition worth considering.

There aren’t a lot of unlockables or extras, but you’ll be getting solid, challenging rhythm racing in a portable size. Casual players unfamiliar with the series might find the difficulty a little steep and hard to get into.

Whispering Willows is an engaging horror-themed graphic adventure starring a likeable hero and a haunted mansion. Unfortunately, the great presentation is undone by a predictable story and simple puzzles. Elena's journey may be full of ghouls and ghosts, but it fails to scare up much excitement.

Wii Party U is a sizable and varied collection of minigames. It’s not much fun unless you have at least four people, but as it stands it’s a pretty good deal: a Wii remote and a big party game, for less than the price of a triple-A title.

This DLC content comes off feeling a little 'more of same.' It doesn't introduce anything terribly new, and feels like it has less content and depth than the first chapter. I'm holding out hope that the third chapter can wrap this up neatly.

Fe is a beautifully ethereal game that, despite its flaws with plot comprehension and spatial organization, is a pleasure to play. If you’re fine with wandering, and don’t mind the feeling of being swept along on a journey rather than pioneering the journey yourself, then the weak points of this game will seem a lot less weak.

Throw Anything has a bit more depth that you would expect from a VR wave attack game. The concept is easy to pick up, but the difficulty ramps up very quickly. What seems like casual game play quickly becomes something more: panic so deep that you will literally try to throw anything you can pick up.

Despite being far from the best version of this series, the Walking Dead on Vita is still a stellar adventure. The quality of Telltale's work transcends the various technical issues that haunt this port.

This is still a solid offering for fans of the classic trading card game. This is about as close to Magic as you can get without actually dealing out the cards.

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm looks and feels like a Legend of Zelda game, which is good. But comparing it to the Zelda series might lead to disappointment whereas, on its own, it's mostly enjoyable. If you're looking for a Zelda-like experience, Oceanhorn 2 should help fulfill that void for a while, as long as you give it some time to do so.

Blue Estate is a light gun game that doesn't use a light gun. Grab your DualShock 4, because this on-rails shooter uses gyroscope technology to take players through eight exciting stages. Too bad the jokes are awful and the gameplay isn't as accurate as needed, because Blue Estate does a great job of staging action.

Kersploosh really isn’t that bad of a game, it’s just short and repetitive. The main replayability in this game is just completing the same ten wells over and over using different objects to improve your times. However, for $3 it is a nice game to play in short bursts.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle is as baffling a fighting game as you will ever play. With a large cast of eccentric characters and some of the most stylish moves you'll ever see, Namco Bandai have finally released a good anime game. It's not without a few problems, but JoJo has enough charm to warrant taking the risk.

Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is a pleasant surprise. Despite a few technical hiccups and some (gameplay) road bumps along the way, I enjoyed the adventure every time I picked up my Vita. It is a great nod to the classic Zelda game, and never crosses the line from being a homage to being a copycat title.

A high-definition PC port of a Nintendo 3DS game, Resident Evil: Revelations fails to offer any earth-shattering answers for longtime fans of the franchise. What they'll get instead is a modestly sized thriller with an annoying cast of characters and a completely nonsensical plot. On the other hand, it's still better than Resident Evil 6.
