It's frustrating, often needlessly so, and frequently loses its enjoyable premise behind the guise of arbitrary design decisions.- Gaming Age

To me the stale dated visuals, boring audio, and updated game play features didn’t win me over this year, and if more gamers are like myself, this game may fade faster that the Detroit Lion’s franchise.- Gaming Age

I can't decide who's at fault here. Is it Sony for including 3D power and no way to control the camera? Or is it the fault of these game developers that insist on developing 3D games that obviously need camera control?- Gaming Age

I got used to the game. I even finished it. This was partly because I learned how to compensate for the game's shortcomings but it was largely due to the fact that it's a lot of fun.- Gaming Age

This is what fans have been waiting for. This is the definitive Mortal Kombat title for handhelds. You have more fatalities, self-fatalities (hara-kiri), stage fatalities, more characters, four deep modes of play, unlockable Krypt items, and online play.- Gaming Age

The title feels incomplete with its mix of mediocre graphics and pared down gameplay mechanics. Even die hard hack-and-slash fans will be hard pressed to find enjoyment throughout this launch title.- Gaming Age

While the title has the necessary great graphics and unreal drifting mechanics, the new option of improving and customizing your machine sets Ridge Racer 7 apart from all the others that came before it.- Gaming Age

With flaw after flaw, not only is Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire the worst game on the PlayStation 3 and the worst launch title in recent memory, it's a prime candidate for worst game of the year.- Gaming Age

The addition of the new play styles, attitude, and story mode only enhance this great title. This is easily the best of the Blitz titles, and Midway has given fans a truly fun and entertaining football game that is not hindered by rules and penalties.- Gaming Age

But every once in a while you have a game so mindblowingly good-looking that the gameplay, good, bad, or somewhere in between, just doesn't matter. Say "Hi" to Gears of War.- Gaming Age

Much like an old arcade title, most of the appeal relies wholly upon how much a player puts into it, the dearth of new content not necessarily a deal-breaker. Still, the small number of stages limits the game's overall appeal, meaning only the dedicated will find long-term enjoyment.- Gaming Age

CoD3 is a game that is slightly repetitive if not lackluster in its single player - the first level is insanely awesome though.- Gaming Age

I'm absolutely in love with Guitar Hero II. For me, it's the quintessential music and rhythm game on any system, in any territory. The song list is so diverse, and the control is so perfect. It's also one of the ultimate party games.- Gaming Age

As it stands, you really only need to play each character once to check out their special moves, say “cool”, and move on. Great license, great production values, and a mediocre fighter, that pretty much sums it up.- Gaming Age

On top of it all, the game crashes so often it seems like a sign. Every load and option change is a risk that results in equal occurrences of the following: a complete crash, stuck on locked screen or more playtime of a terribly boring and frustrating game.- Gaming Age

Like any good portable title, it’s meant to be played in short bursts, and that’s where you’ll get the most enjoyment out of this one. On the visual side, Lumines II contains every bit of style and appeal that the first title did.- Gaming Age

Scurge lasts long enough and provides a strong challenge to suit any Metroid fan or gamer looking for a good action title. Although its frustrations lie within some game design, and then translate through hardware (such as the D-pad), it's still very playable and very fun.- Gaming Age

The lack of proper online play is a downer, and in spite of the difficulty, the game could have been a bit longer "out of the box". But overall, the game is an intense shooter with a gritty, cohesive sense of style and direction, and I can't see many fans of the genre being disappointed with it.- Gaming Age
