The battles here are repetitive and uninspired. Again, depending on your feelings towards the series’ other games, you may think that’s nothing new, but here it just feels much more noticeably bland. It never connects. MMOs and faux-MMOs are ripe for parody, which you’d think would make them ideal targets for Hyperdimension Neptunia’s brand of game-centric humour, but as Cyberdimension Neptunia shows, it’s apparently harder than it looks.- Gaming Age

If you're being charitable, of course, you may say that this is simply an example of Uncanny Valley moving at its own pace, or that horror works best when it draws things out and builds up the tension. However true that may be, if you're not feeling charitable — perhaps because you're bored out of your mind and tired of exploring the facility and hotel in which the game takes place at a glacial pace — then it'd be very, very easy to throw your hands up in frustration and move on to something that moves a little faster.- Gaming Age

While the PS2 seems to have helped improve the visuals ten fold, From Software wasn't able to work out the gameplay kinks to round everything out.- Gaming Age

When taken into consideration against Rockstar Games’ other major holiday release, "Grand Theft Auto 3," though, the repetitive nature of Smuggler’s Run 2 almost makes it not worth mentioning.- Gaming Age

There's a bit of a high learning curve to get over in order to find much enjoyment or excitement in the game, although fans of the genre or sport in particular will likely not mind at all.- Gaming Age

Playing Sled Storm is a lot like going to a rave - a lot of bombast, hype and crazy visual chemical hoopla...but once the effect wears off, there's little left of substance or interest to anyone older than 15.- Gaming Age

As it stands, Metal Slug 3 on the Vita is a pretty lousy entry point for anyone new to the franchise, and only worth getting if you're able to overlook a whole lot of flaws.- Gaming Age

Overall Monopoly for the Switch does the job it advertises to do, like Monopoly for many previous consoles. The difference is, with this console you can take on the go and play multiplayer without needing to carry around the board game and all its pieces. Is it perfect? Definitely not. Especially with my gripes that I mentioned earlier, but if you want Monopoly on the go the game isn’t breaking the mold but it gets the job done. The $40 retail price point is a bit questionable, but I have already seen it on sale in the past few weeks for around $20, which is where I say this game should have been priced and shouldn’t be grabbed for anything more.- Gaming Age

In other words, Type:Rider undoubtedly has the noblest of intentions, but as a platformer, it sucks. You're much better off staring at some of its screenshots for the 90 minutes or so it would take you to beat the game, because seeing something that looks so wonderful fall apart so badly is just infuriating.- Gaming Age

It’s certainly not awful, and when it calls back to the retro style of the classics that preceded it I think it does a better job than most. But the combat design coupled with the clunky control interface really brings the experience down.- Gaming Age

It really pains me to say that Akimbot is as bad as it is. It started out with so much promise, and it drew from some of the best influences imaginable. Unfortunately, as this end result shows time and again, good influences don’t automatically lead to good outcomes, and Akimbot is pretty far from anything that could be called a good outcome.- Gaming Age

The best way to enjoy this collection is with low expectations. Expect to play the originals, just a little prettier. I say this because, even with the updated textures and character models.- Gaming Age

ADR1FT is truly a great simulation experience and a frightening look at what can happen when things go wrong in space, but it could have released as a 30 minute playable VR demo and I would have thoroughly enjoyed it. As it stands now, with 5+ hours of aimlessly floating around doing the same tasks over and over, and without the VR aspect to really drive some of the visuals home it is a miss.- Gaming Age

I can’t imagine who would be interested in what’s going on here. With a lousy main character and an interminable story that doesn’t go anywhere, even fans of the genre deserve better than this. It won’t offend anyone in its badness, but that hardly makes it worth checking out.- Gaming Age

Let me put it this way: you know how dreams are usually only interesting to the person having them? Dreaming Sarah is like that. There’s undoubtedly some fascinating ideas here that made a lot of sense to the developer, but as a game to play, it leaves a whole lot to be desired.- Gaming Age

Pokémon Snap is a poor effort on Nintendo’s part. It is completely obvious that the game was rushed in order to cash in on the Pokémon frenzy. They could have spent six more months creating some new areas and adding all the available Pokémon into it and then it would have been a much better overall game.- Gaming Age

It's a pretty lackluster effort overall, and not at all what I was anticipating. I'll stick to my fonder memories of the original, and hope that at some point Virtua Tennis can bring back some of that excitement and fun that I had with the series when it began.- Gaming Age

It’d all be pretty boring if it weren’t for the fact that Grass Cutter has one heck of a soundtrack. Even if the game itself starts feeling repetitive early on, the thumping beat that accompanies the game — and that even plays through loading screens — will make you want to keep playing well after you’ve grown bored of the gameplay. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to make Grass Cutter – Mutated Lawns worth playing. Worth listening to, sure, but unless you don’t mind paying console prices for something that feels like it’d be a lot cheaper if it had come out on the App Store just for a great soundtrack, your money is probably better off spent elsewhere.- Gaming Age

You'd have to be a pretty hard core collector of King of Fighters games to want to add this to your collection. There's just no reason with games like "Tekken 5" and "Soul Calibur" out there.- Gaming Age

On the whole, though, Blackberry Honey is pretty harmless and inoffensive. It doesn’t ask anything of players and it probably won’t stick with you for very long after you finish it, but if you’re in the mood for reading something long and unobjectionable, you could probably do worse.- Gaming Age
