What hurts the game the most is how short the game is. Levels tend to be 2 to 5 minutes of playtime with a total of 19 levels. Doing the math, you can see how the game won't last very long. A good player will likely beat the game on normal difficulty in three to four hours.- Gaming Age

The complete package, and I believe it’s the best game on the PS2. The gameplay is gripping and the story is so good, my wife wouldn’t let me play through the end of the game without her present.- Gaming Age

The game falls not only short of expectation, but also below what this great team is capable of.- Gaming Age

The game is no means a bad title, it just feels average, and at the near end of a system's life cycle, average just does not cut it for 40 bucks anymore.- Gaming Age

Thanks to the responsive controls, the over/understeering necessary for drifting soon becomes second nature. The d-pad and analog nub both provide for excellent handling, with neither having a clear advantage over the other.- Gaming Age

Metal Gear Acid is a decent tactical card battling game, but it is not a true Metal Gear title, and for me I expect no less.- Gaming Age

It is the one game that will stand the test of time and would be my one choice if I had to pick only one title out of the launch.- Gaming Age

The game looks and feels somewhat antiquated and the camera can be frustrating at times, but there’s enough good to keep you busy for a number of hours… at least until SCEA announces a Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank or Jak for the PSP.- Gaming Age

One of the deeper sports titles on the PSP. Just because it was stripped down to a handheld, does not mean that features and depth have been sacrificed.- Gaming Age

Playing Wipeout Pure on the large, crisp PSP screen is a thing of beauty. Visually, the game is damn gorgeous. An excellent, silky smooth framerate, impressive textures, and even better lighting and weather effects.- Gaming Age

The two on two and twenty-one varieties have been done very well, but no one has been extremely successful at anything where you control more than two players at a time.- Gaming Age

What gets under your skin is that most of the combos are unblockable, and once you are caught in string of moves, you must wait until the move set is over before you can block or counter attack. This can be frustrating on both A.I. and human battles.- Gaming Age

A lack of selectable music and no graphical enhancements keep this game from breaking into the "A" grades.- Gaming Age

I hope that if EA follows this up, they continue the same engine effort, yet fix that blasted A.I. and add some depth.- Gaming Age

It's a game that allows non-gamers to take part in the action. People simply want to try the game because the controller is so inviting to them. For the hardcore gamers out there, the game is a bit short and tad easy.- Gaming Age

Audio does a fine job, with some great commentary that never gets old, and is spot on accurate when calling the action on the pitch.- Gaming Age
