Sadly, Viking is one of those games that could have been great but thanks to repetitive hack-and-slash gameplay there is really not much here even Odin would approve.

An average title with a purposeful concept and not-so-stellar performance. Children will enjoy the game, but only for a short time, and adults who know how to speak English already need not apply.

It's not innovative, it's not a sequel and the graphics are below the quality of "Crazy Taxi," a driving game that's nearly four years old.

Unfortunately, sometimes less than average graphics overall + bad sound + two faction’s missions being too difficult = probably skipped over in the retail game store.

There were a few moments of intensity, and a few minutes of excitement, but it’s not what it should be.

Reminds me of a budget minded "Dungeon Siege," a game I liked very much. It lacks the depth and the beauty DS has but remember it only has a MSRP of about 20 bucks. It also lacks any MP capability so everything will be solo or using AI companions.

It does not fail and has several bright spots, there is some issues with how it looks and the gameplay can become monotonous, not a bad attempt though.

Fans will certainly love the slams and finishing moves using the Nunchuk and Wiimote, but the lack of match types will disappoint the more hardcore fans. Still, those looking for a different and more interactive version of the game should definitely pick this one up.

Puzzle Expedition is far from flashy. Without a scoring system or an engaging story, the only reward for a job well done is pride, and there is plenty to go around. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more challenging puzzle game on the DS. At times, it's even too devious for its own good.

Those who have stuck with the franchise for a long time will likely consider this score to be too low; and more power to you. But my judgment is coming from someone fresh to the series, and I found only little enjoyment out of playing it.

It is really a shame that the game was allowed to be released before it was tweaked sufficiently. Unfortunately, these are major problems that greatly affect the gameplay and game players.

The vehicle animations are good, but the overall repetitive nature of the game makes this a very average title.

I’m sorry, Dave. These controls are weak.

There were too many shortcomings to bring a great idea into a finished product.

Swashbucklers: Blue vs. Grey is a strange little game that isn’t terrible by any means, but it’s not really very good, either. While I could definitely see the game developing a (tiny) cult following, every interesting element in the game is balanced out by something bad.

There's a total lack of ingenuity here, and although this may be the first 3D Mega Man game that "works", it's only because Capcom played it safe; the game is downright tiresome at times, with barely any interesting touches.

Though the touch screen is superior to the Wii remote in the area of item placement, item acquisition (when you grab the item from the item window) and retrieval (when you pick up an item that has already been placed) are a glitchy mess on the DS, making this an inferior version.

Not overly hard to play, but this is a simplistic building/economic sim at best.

The harder players work out the better the avatars will look at the end of their program. This is a neat extra incentive to continue to play this game.

There’s tons of play time with 34 different scenarios, and the ability to modify existing ones or create your own (plus multiplayer) just adds to the replay value of the game. The downside is that the game is also extremely confusing and challenging due to the detail.

The game has improved from last years game with it’s more in-depth game modes and slight visual enhancements, but otherwise the game still has a long way to go before being the ultimate college basketball game.

The game is a value-priced title and for the most part, it shows, but this time the developers actually included some old-fashioned fun.

While the aerodynamics of dragon flight and combat tease you almost immediately, the game becomes repetitive quickly enough not to distract you from the plain graphics.

It's repetitive. Extremely repetitive. That's really all that needs to be said. I can praise the control scheme until I'm blue in the face, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the game repeats itself like a radio station with a small collection of songs.

The save system features the return of the hated code system, that forces you to write down a code to return to a given point in the game. This "technology" was all the rage in 1985 with the Atari 2600 based on ROM, but current systems have access to RAM to save game states instead of trying to have players write down some ridiculous code.

Racing enthusiasts and gear heads will be able to squeeze some fun out of this title, but very few others will. There is no lean into the gameplay for simulation racing newcomers, so you should probably stay away from this one unless you know you like sim racers.

The game passes ... barely. I would be lying if I didn't say there was some fun hidden in it, but you really have to go in and find it, and most of the time, that's just not enough.

While the game’s controls are identical to Diablo, even Diablo veterans will quickly realize that this is little more than a hack and slash title only due to the small amount of drops and no pieces of armor or weapons to be found, and the gameplay gets very repetitive very quickly.
