An interesting title with fun gameplay. It can be frustrating at times but a solid game and a welcome addition to the service.
-
There's definitely some winning elements to the title, but you will too often find yourself frustrated by the blatantly manufactured obstacles that block your ship from the goal and bring the momentum of the experience to a screeching halt.
-
I’m sorry, Dave. These controls are weak.
-
If you're the type who gets angry when you lose because of something like “my arm twitched” or “the sensor bar didn't register that,” stay far away from Evasive Space; it's just going to tick you off. If you have the patience to deal with the occasional annoyance, though, Evasive Space is a unique, clever title that will make a decent addition to your Wiiware library.
-
It's by no means awful, as it's smartly-designed for what it is, but it asks for a certain amount of dedication that those who don't have an affinity for early '80s arcade hits may not have.
-
Unfortunately, the loose play control, cheap level design, unavoidable enemies, and a terrible in-game timer really make the cost of 1000 Wii Points unjustifiable.
-
This top-down shooter with no shooting in it might just break your wrist.
