Atelier Annie is a fun little RPG that will definitely appeal to fans of comedy animes – it’s got a cute story and a bouncy, energetic style and tone. It’s not the most substantial RPG the DS has to offer this holiday season, but younger players and those looking for something a little different won’t be disappointed.

Cars is a really solid racing game for the PlayStation Portable. What is a shame is that the game is extremely straightforward in its concept and execution which means that there isn’t a lot of variety other then just racing.

A truly beautiful-looking game, it just lacks originality in storyline and challenge.

SC may lack the luster of today's games that require a GB of space and the highest of everything for the ultimate gaming experience, but for a game that only requires 30 MB of space, it can be truly addictive.

There’s an ample amount of objectives, game modes and characters to keep gamers young and old well occupied but if you’re looking for a deep skating experience, this is not the game that will satisfy your skateboarding cravings.

It is a shame that a little more time didn't go into trying to make the game unique.

A nice mix of strategy, options and not-too-difficult play make this an enjoyable family game.

Dragon Ball: Origins 2 doesn't reinvent the wheel, but as far as by-the-book sequels are concerned, this is one of the best.

The SingStar franchise needs to rethink song lists. There are some new titles upcoming that might offer more variety than this one does.

Lips: Number One Hits has some issues, but it’s still a pretty solid karaoke game and very fun to play in the right environment. However, here’s hoping the devs try to get a little more creative the next time around.

While the controls can seem a bit touchy at times, the actual racing animations feel stiff and not as fluid as they should be. Sure, these are big bikes and metal doesn’t bend that well, but there were times when it just felt as though the game was on a rail. That said, for those who like racing games and motorcycles, MotoGP 09/10 has a robust racing package that should sate appetites.

If, like me, you have warm fuzzy memories of the glory days of LucasArts, Revolution and AdventureSoft, you'll enjoy The Whispered World. And I did. But there are simply too many shortcomings here to give this game a hearty recommendation. Muted praise, then, for a whispered world.

A nice attempt to reboot the franchise, NCAA Basketball 09 adds some new features and revamps the on-court play, but ultimately feels like a flawed and barebones college basketball experience.

I also find it intriguing that my journalistic brethren so easily throw a new IP like Homefront under the bus after lavishing perfect scores upon the laughably flawed Black Ops and Halo: Reach. With a few tweaks and a fresher paint of coat, Homefront would have been outstanding, far outshining either of those titles. As is, it's still worth a playthrough.

With weak enemy AI and a few so-so missions, the real treat here is how well the game handles true military tactics and the things our fighting men and women have to go through to make it in today's Army.

What I love about Little League World Series Baseball 2008 is that the games are short enough (6 innings, true to Little League) and fun enough that you can pick this game up and play it time and time again.

Not nearly as rewarding as the story that inspired it. Lemony Snicket gives you more than a collection of mini-games. It's too bad these non-mini-games involve miniature tasks like taking out weak enemies and fighting weak boss battles.

In many ways, Cities XL 2011 is similar to Civilization V. Although not nearly as grand in scope, there's a sense of pride after taking a squalid ghetto and nurturing it into a pristine metropolis.
