This could have been a game that was ideal for a more tricky strategic word gaming experience. Instead, it’s one you’ll save for when friends are visiting but nothing more than that.

Overall, Stunt Star: The Hollywood Years isn't bad, but it can get a little bit tedious as you constantly try to get things just right for an ungrateful director who you'll want to curbstomp more than Michael Bay by the time you're through playing. Nailing the perfect landing may be a little more satisfying than toppling the pigs' fort in Angry Birds, but getting there can wind up a bit more tedious.

Once you walk through the game's short length, you'll almost definitely be craving more adventures in Pantslvania while walking in the skin of the underwearwolf.

For those who are just looking to kill time and don’t face Facebook integration issues, Family Feud Live! might be a good enough distraction to stick around for a couple weeks. However, it’s unlikely that this is going to be enough for the game to make its targets. Again, while there are worse casual games out there, Family Feud Live! just doesn’t live up to its potential.

Unless you fancy yourself a diehard fan of its predecessor, Zaxxon Escape is not a particularly offensive game.

It runs smoothly, has great touchscreen controls, and weapons feel suitably different from each other. We just honestly don’t see why you would bother to play this over the far superior Call of Duty Mobile.

Epic isn’t the worst movie/game tie-in by far, but neither is it particularly memorable. Kids will probably download it upon exiting the theatre, enjoy it for a bit, and then abandon their village to weeds and ivy.

Like any drinking game, Max Gentlemen is good for a few rounds but should be shelved before it comes to fisticuffs.

But in the mobile space (no matter the platform) we need to be able to save and quit in a heartbeat. Maybe we're grabbing a fast turn while waiting in line for coffee, or staving off a few minutes of boredom on our lunch breaks. We game on a micro-level on these devices, and the games need to understand and respect that. It's unforgivable to expect us to have the time or where-with-all to find the stupid save point just so we can hit "home" and get on with our lives.

If you enjoyed Guardian Cross or really have a thing for zombies, there’s a good chance you’ll really like Deadman’s Cross. Otherwise it probably won’t hold your interest for very long.

There’s fun to be had in NFL Clash, and the collecting aspect of the game is definitely going to appeal to some. But the underlying gameplay lacks any real spark, and after a while you’re going to lose interest in its simplistic interpretation of football.

What's presented here is a great start, but ultimately, Danger Alliance: Battles ends up feeling like a woefully incomplete package.

An unfortunately mixed bag. It looks and sounds great, but the writing seems haphazard, the gameplay feels clunky at best (and buggy at worst) and its online reliability is sporadic.

The paywalls and in-app purchase ads can be rather off-putting, but they don’t ruin the fun of Motocross Meltdown because there really isn’t all that much fun to be had in the first place.

It’s just a shame (to a rather significant degree) that so much of what’s meant to keep players playing is implemented so poorly.

Really, it feels a lot like Haypi Kingdom with a new skin. That means it's still surprisingly addictive and layered with depth, but it also means that it feels almost entirely unoriginal.

The central issue with Punch a Hole is that it's far too easy for far too long, and when the difficulty does ramp up it's entirely too inconsistent.

My Majesty always feels a little lightweight. While the decisions might feel hefty, the results never feel worse than a matter of ‘oh well, hit the reset button’. You can meet up with historical characters along the way, which is a neat way of encouraging you to play more. It gives you a small sense of achievement, but My Majesty doesn’t quite have that ‘just one more go’ factor that Reigns does. It’s all fine enough, but not overly enticing. Enjoy it while it lasts, then don’t be surprised if you find your interest inevitably waning.

Kids will love it, especially if they haven't played a Diner Dash game yet. It's just unfortunate that Nickelodeon didn't expend a little more energy on making the game a true delight for the show's older audience. And I assure you – that audience totally exists.

We can’t question the work that’s gone into reviving Gargoyles Remastered, but we do slightly question whether this was a title that needed bringing back in the first place.

This is a great game for anyone who just plain likes the genre, or might be looking for a light title with which to pass the time. Control issues, pesky micro-transactions and silly music aside, this is a solid enough experience and a great way to celebrate over five decades in business for Nikko.

Ultimately, colorful environments and creative obstacles make Nono Islands a fun little adventure game to try- if you are willing to look past the limitations.

Sprinkle Islands is a really tough call to make; the original was pretty good, and for the most part, this one does well to uphold those same elements, but in the end, we just weren't enjoying this one quite as much. If you decide to pursue this one, do so with some caution, but if you haven't played the original either, give that one a try instead.

As a whole, I don’t think Dungeon Monsters RPG is terrible. It’s a cookie-cutter mobile RPG experience. The developers mostly played it safe, and the one really unique thing the game brought to the table (the torch mechanic) ended up hurting the experience.

Babel Running looks nice, plays smoothly, and is fun for a while, but it doesn't do very much to shake up the genre. It'd be a lie to say that it isn't fun, but the repetitive nature and lame bonus mode keep it feeling a little behind the times.

If you’re a fiend for the movie universe’s greatest marshmallow-murderers, taking Ghostbusters Puzzle Fighter for a spin isn’t the worst idea — as long as you’re OK with grinding and wait periods. If you’re just looking for a good match-three game, don’t bother calling this one.

You’ll enjoy moments of Puzzle Fighter but it’s rarely enough, and it’s certainly not enough to make you want to throw money at the situation. The basic formula might be correct, but, ultimately, Puzzle Fighter feels a little lazy at heart.

Sure, it's turn based strategy at its core, but the movement and treadmill vibe from the levels make it feel a bit different.
