Hanging with Friends is a pretty basic app, but it still manages to be fun and engaging.

Anyone who can’t quite grasp why the popularity of Dragon Ball / Dragon Ball Z franchise has transcended generations won’t get a thing out of Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle. Dragon Ball nerds, on the other hand, will be as happy as a hungry Saiyan with a hunk of dinosaur meat.

As it stands, Almightree is a capable puzzle game offering a unique assortment of challenges that fall just short of their potential.

Swap Sword is still quite fun, but with that lack of refinement, it’s one step away from greatness. You’ll find yourself wishing it had more going for it than it does. As a simple Match-3/roguelike, it’ll entertain you for a little while, but don’t be surprised if you end up longing for more from your experience.

Bug Wings continues the gaming trend of chucking small animals great distances for our own enjoyment. It's a good download for those who enjoy catapult/target games, and offers addictive gameplay in a simple, six-legged package.

Creative Destruction is a free-to-play game, so a lot of its peripheral gameplay is centred around its in-game economy, where you get to gear-up for maximum bragging rights on the battlefield. It works in Fortnite, and it works here too. If you’re looking for an alternative to Epic’s blockbuster, you won’t find much better than this.

Although this may seem like a lot of complaining, I honestly enjoyed most of my time with Spell Rift -- It's just not a game that's going to entertain you for hours on end.

So graphically, gameplay, and feature wise, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 comes up short against FIFA 12. Is Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 a terrible game? No, not really. It's just nowhere near as good as the competition, and having both released in the same week makes it hard to make the argument that you should choose Pro Evo over EA's offering.

It can never just get out in front of the very things it's poking fun at, and just ends up getting mired in it. It's fun, but it's a limited kind of enjoyment. Once finished, you'll have no reason to ever go back.

It may be a by the numbers casual hidden object game, but Haunted Manor: Painted Beauties adds interest where it counts. The puzzles keep you guessing and searching, the hidden object scenes spice things up at just the right time, the mini-games are short but fascinating, and the story hits things home with a lot of supernatural twists and turns. Easy, simple, and fun.

While the games are fun and engaging, after you’ve completed the first area a good 5 times because you accidentally close the app out of habit, it ceases to be fun or cute.

Unlike other games a bit like this (such as the many Glu celebrity games), there’s no storyline to follow, luring you in a little more each time. The real allure to Design Home is for those people keen to own a home but without the space or finances. They can live out their dreams of designing a home just how they want it to look, without spending any real money or significant time on the results. As a form of dream making, it fits the job. Even if its longevity isn’t quite there.

All things considered, Guardian Codex is a decent free-to-play RPG. It certainly has its problems, but it looks good and is fun in a by-the-numbers sort of way. If you’re patient enough to put up with the connection issues and occasional design quirks, it makes for an entertaining way to pass the time. That said, if you’re only looking to have one RPG in your rotation, there are plenty of better options out there.

In the end, Fantastic Beasts: Cases From The Wizarding World does exactly what it sets out to do — but you can’t help but feel that it could have done a little bit more. As it stands, it’s perfectly fine, and it’s going to find a sizable audience. It just doesn’t fizz and sparkle with the sort of magic you might be expecting.

There’s fair amount of content in Turbo Racing League. It’s unfortunate that the slide mechanic is bad and the levels feel empty.

While the Triple Triad battle mechanic and licensed charm of Star Trek combine into an engaging distraction on the surface, underneath Star Trek Rivals is currently incomplete, a hollow moon boulder without any real weight.

The only real flourish in the presentation is that the main character – a dog – makes a relevant pun every time you complete a puzzle. This ultimately is not a bad bet for those looking for a new word game to play. What more is there to say?

Touch Detective is really going to be hit or miss with people. The characters and stories are totally weird and nonsensical, which I found charming but I could see how they'd turn some off. The crux of the game revolves around you tap-tap-tapping all over the screen trying to find objects that do god knows what. I enjoyed the game for the most part, but it's bound to be polarizing – so it's a good thing you get to play a good chunk for free first.

Overall, Rebirth of Fortune 2 has a strong foundation. Its high level of customization and ease of access make it appealing to a large crowd. It’s unfortunate that the turn-based battle system feels slow and clunky, and that the online play favors those who have either spent money or played deep into single player.

In the end, if you’re playing Siegefall for the long-game of checking into your base sporadically throughout the day, you’ll get much more mileage out of the game than someone who is looking to sit down and spend fifteen or twenty minutes in one go, with the game.

It does what it wants to well, and we feel expanding the game out – to include co-op or competitive modes for example – may have gone against its Game Jam origins. Still what you’re left with is a game that’s a solid high score chaser with online leaderboards and a suitably low price tag. If you’re looking for something that will a scratch a very small itch then this could be worth a look.

Charade Parade is a good way to pass a few minutes. Heck, it’s free. Don’t expect to get much mileage out of it, though: if the technical issues don’t prompt you to delete the app, playing a one-on-one guessing game remains fun for only so long.
