Given its real time multiplayer nature, Disney Magical Dice is going to need a steady community for you to really reap the benefits (although there is AI play), but it’s certainly enjoyable enough to keep you playing. It’s generous enough with its consumables too to ensure that you won’t feel cheated along the way.

The action admittedly feels somewhat hands-off, but War Tortoise is definitely still a challenge.

At its core, Pang Adventures is a grand arcade flashback from a great time in gaming’s history. Until we get that hoped-for control fix, however, this adaptation of Pang remains an awkward collision of the past and the present.

What LOUD on Planet X offers in imaginative thinking, it doesn’t quite follow through in its execution. It’s fun, but that fun is limited. Though if you’re a big fan of one of the bands featured, you’re sure to enjoy it more than most.

It’s a terrific adventure that you get to make for yourself, and it’s packed beyond reason with personality, charm, and horrifying monstrosities. Even if you’re not keen on the lack of on-screen action I’d still recommend giving it a look.

It’s a shame that the graphics and management portion of the game are so rough around the edges, because as I said earlier - playing the naval warfare, which us Tropical Wars’ main draw, is quite enjoyable.

Everything about Fearful Tales: Hansel and Gretel is just fantastic.

Spellspire has great graphics, charming characters, and a smart game mechanic that focuses on quick spelling but adds some casual RPG fun for those who like a little strategy with their wordplay.

Warbits is one heck of a strategy game, though it has a couple of issues.

Chameleon Run has more depth than it has any right to offer, and you’ll soon be itching to nail all the objectives along the way.

The Endless Mode is fun, but on its own it can only carry the game so far.

Really, it’s all pretty shallow, but as an appetiser before a main course of a meatier feast, it works quite effectively. Even if you’ve seen it all before with a different skin.

It certainly doesn’t hold a candle to the console games, but it carries itself surprisingly well as a handheld side story.

While Tap Sports Baseball 2016 is reasonably fun, it’s hard to feel committed to it without paying up to get ahead.

Crossy Maze is a good example of how bad controls can bring down a game full of decent ideas.

With more than 100 characters from nine different properties in the game at launch and a seemingly endless array of possibilities for what could be added in future updates, it’s hard to fathom that Disney Crossy Road could be anything but a smashing success.

League of War: Mercenaries could have been a great game of strategy built around deploying friendly units to counter those that the enemy deployed, but due to an overly complicated system and (in my case) and overly powerful unit, that experience was bland at best.

In fact, it’s one of the more satisfying Match-3 games currently out there, with its variety of different game types ensuring you won’t get bored too soon.

Still, as with the earlier releases it shows plenty of reverence for the movies, and is easily the best mobile LEGO game I’ve played to date. I think those who’ve yet to play any version before will definitely find a lot to like (or even love) here.

While not quite the revelation that its predecessor was when it landed on Facebook four years ago, Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2 is a worthy heir to its legacy; one that takes a solid foundation of both gameplay and story elements and wraps them in sleeker presentation.

Hammer Bomb is pretty darn fun, all things considered. It’s simple, sure, but it also has some nuance to it – and you always feel like you’re getting somewhere. PAC-MAN would never survive a maze quite like this.

If you’re not a fan of these types of games, Doomsday Clicker won’t change your mind. But if you like the never-ending grind for more and more cash – or if you’ve never played anything like this before – then I’d say it’s certainly worth checking out.

Even if you’re not necessarily a Yo-Kai Watch fan, Wibble Wobble is a puzzle game worth checking out. And if you are a fan, I think it’s going to keep you busy. At least, so long as you know to expect a matching puzzler and not a ghost-hunting RPG.
