From both a puzzle game and a board game perspective, Concrete Jungle is definitely a good time. Provided you’re looking for something slow-paced and strategic rather than action-y, anyway. It’s a clever mix of concepts with a very satisfying collection of interlaced mechanics that almost (almost) put me in a Tetris-like trance.

Panda PandaMonium is a refreshing and entertaining descendent of traditional mahjong.

But all combined, YMBAB is the definitive way to play EightyEight Games’ unique puzzle-RPG-runner, and a notable advancement from the already great 10000000.

Bucketz is everything that a physics puzzler should be: unique, full of personality, and plenty addicting.

The menus may not look like much, but Jaipur is a great port of a fun game. The tutorial isn’t useless, the game itself is enjoyable, there are several different options when it comes to how you want to play. I can’t stress enough just how nice it is to play a board game conversion that actually understands how sometimes a basic 1:1 port just doesn’t cut it. This is good stuff, and you should play it if you like board games – digital or otherwise.

This is one bad froggie, and we mean that in a good way.

I’m not 100 percent certain this will win over people who don’t find the overarching GO concept worthwhile, but if anything, the execution here is even more impressive than it was the first time out.

It’s a game that made us consistently laugh or gasp with delight at the story and the lovingly crafted way it’s presented. Burly Men at Sea is not only worth playing, but replaying until you’ve exhausted all of its adventures, swum every inch of its ocean, and left your thumbprint on its beautiful, bearded pages.

The controls are simple and anyone can pick up and play the game without getting frustrated. Moreover, it is gratifying without requiring a significant time investment. With its slew of weaponry to unlock, along with co-op play, it's an app that offers several hours of potential play time.

I think it’s safe to say I thoroughly enjoyed Pesterquest and still continue to do so! I haven’t gotten through every route yet, but knowing I have more plus replay value ahead of me hasn’t left my mind, and I’m itching to have this review live to get back on it.

WWE SuperCard is a very decent card-battling game that’s more concerned about engaging players than bleeding them dry with in-app purchases.

Hiveswap boasts some brilliant character design that feels true to the Homestuck lore – on top of the fun interactions you’ll partake in. Similarly to Pesterquest you get to tell your own story through the friendships in the game. Though some of the friends you make are…questionable. Trolls are fascinating in that their ways of befriending are rather extreme. You’ll be put to some extreme lengths to accumulate new chums.

The good far outweighs the bad, of course. Severed is a fantastic adventure in more ways than one. Combat is satisfying and serves a genuine purpose, there’s lots to explore and revisit, and everything looks both wonderful and strange. In short, consider this one a must play.

Once again, Big Fish Games has devised new sways to enrich the match-three genre.

You know it's a solid title when you're only complaint is that you want more of it.

Penarium features great gameplay guided by tough challenges (and tougher opponents), solid graphics and an interesting concept – what’s not to like? If you’ve not already downloaded the game, it should be added as the next item on your to-do list.

Rather than simply porting the classics of their catalogue, Fantasy Flight Games has paired a new print release with a great digital version that should have no problem moving boxed copies of their latest game. It's a far lengthier experience than most mobile gamers will be used to in a single session, but after spending an hour in the world of Elder Sign: Omens, you'll begin to wonder how the world could survive without you.

As a lifelong Peanuts fan, Snoopy's Street Fair is exactly what I was hoping for. It's a great use of the license, a competent freemium game, and offers plenty of terrific little bonuses like unlockable comic strips and Snoopy Snaps.

It’s super easy to get started, almost as easy to learn, rather elegant in its simplicity, and a bit more cerebral than a typical trivia game.

It’s not surprising that the developers reported having 70-minute average play sessions during the World of Tank Blitz soft launch, because it’s so easy to get sucked into saying, “OK, just one more battle” before looking up and seeing that 30 or 60 minutes have passed.

It might not be the direct port of Rocket League that some were hoping for, but Rocket League: Sideswipe captures and distils what made the home version of the game so great. And in doing so creates one of the finest mobile multiplayer experiences we’ve seen for a while.

It takes the basic little line clearing puzzle set-up and tweaks it just enough to give it a fresh feeling to make it feel new all over again. Not going to set the world on fire but definitely worth a look for friends of the genre.

There’s little else out there quite like Dark Fear, and its brooding tension and moodiness is a great way to ensure that you’ll be hooked all the more by what unfolds.

I'm still addicted to the game. I fire it up several times a day, each time just as excited by the prospect of building an awesome street.

Strata’s gorgeous and elegant interface, simple yet thoughtful puzzles, and moderate challenge level all work together to create a playable work of art that is easy to lose yourself in.

A game that keeps throwing surprises and different puzzles at you, Animal Well is arguably one of the very best indie releases from 2024.

Its tilt controls are some of the best I've seen in an endless runner (there are also touch controls, but I found myself preferring tilt), the graphics are as vibrant and charming as we've grown to expect from an [adult swim]-published game, and the inclusion of achievements and sundry unlockables makes the game dangerously addictive.

With a variety of beautiful level designs, challenging stage layouts, awesome power-ups and intense gameplay, Hyper Breaker Turbo is one of the best brick breaking games we've seen in a long time. Simple to play, but mastering it will take a very long time!
