A fun game for as long as it lasts. It's very well-made, and has a fun premise. But the lack of multiple maps, modes or any other reason to replay other than topping your score makes Zombie Gunship merely a fun diversion than a fulfillment of Zombiepocalypse Now.

A form of auto-MMO, One Piece Thousand Storm is a pretty enjoyable ride, whether you’re a fan of the franchise or simply want to try something new. If you’ve played any of the various MMOs on mobile before, you’ll be somewhat familiar with how this game plays out — but that doesn’t mean it’s not oddly compelling at times.

Younger players – My Om Nom’s target audience – might get impatient with the monster’s constant naps. However, there’s still plenty to see and do within the app – even when Om Nom is tired – so all the good things about owning an Om Nom definitely offset the bad things.

This Could Hurt is pretty brief and pretty challenging, but it's also pretty fun. The 3D isometric graphics are vibrant, and what's more ridiculous than sending a child through a mechanized death course? After The End has the beauty, charm, and challenge that casual puzzle fans will surely enjoy. There are some frustrations to be had, but they’re worth overlooking. But it also offers a mysterious and engaging adventure that will reveal itself to those patient enough to pursue it.

Puzzle Quest 3 has a very specific goal in mind, and for the most part it nails it. It won’t be to everyone’s taste, but as a masterclass in free to play design it’s hard to match. Scrape too hard at the gorgeous shell, though, and you’ll find it’s essentially empty.

The joy here is the tight level design which requires pixel perfect movement. It’s incredibly satisfying when you pull off a tricky set of jumps and the controls are solid enough to make you feel like every obstacle can be overcome. However the game’s low price doesn’t quite justify its short lifespan – just around 2 hours – meaning this is a platformer that’s probably only worth investing in when it goes on sale.

Thor: Lord of Storms is an amusing castle defense game. It's not quite as complex as other titles in the genre, but I think that actually works in its favor by making it easier to focus on the task at hand. I wouldn't say it's mind-blowing or anything like that, but what's there is perfectly respectable and a good way to kill time.

By and large the quality of the dialogue is solid too, with characters all having clearly drawn personalities and the central mystery of the game slowly but surely drawing you in. It looks lovely too, with a crisp storybook style that is never too cloying and always manages to gently guide you towards the right person or item. Sadly despite all these positives there are drawbacks to Inua, with one being the way the narrative is tied up. We won’t throw in any major spoilers, but we found the plotlines never tied together in a satisfying way – and it makes the experience fall a little flat at the final hurdle.
