OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood is more of the same, but that isn’t a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination.

Dying Light shares much with Dead Island, some would probably say a little too much, but it cuts away a lot of the septic flesh and binds the wounds with some new (if not entirely fresh) ideas.

ScreamRide is a decent game that could have been much better, but it is still worth owning just for the sandbox alone.

Neon tinged retro shooter fun. Just don’t expect it to last.

htoL#NiQ is a decent game for the Vita that pushes no boundaries but does little wrong either.

Games which rely on a special mechanic as their selling point, can often get a bit tired before you reach the end, but Scram Kitty DX introduce new weapons, abilities and enemy types as you progress but at a pacing that means you aren’t overwhelmed, nor bored at any single point.

An excellent technical fighter, that is welcoming for all.

There isn’t much to say about Pillar, it cannot be recommended to everyone, because it clearly isn’t for everyone. But if you like to use your own imagination whilst being tested, then you will get a good experience here.

Ultimately it’s a game that feels like some of the mechanics are a little bit too wonky to be truly great, but if you have a knack for real time strategy you’ll get a good deal of enjoyment out of it.

A great fighting game that is unfortunately let down by a few bugs.

That aside, from a gameplay perspective it’s a decent first foray into the world of SRPG’s, it’s just bogged down by poor characters and story.

A decent concept, that has been marketed and presented totally wrong.

Taking it’s cues from classics of the past and adding a B-Movie style over the top, Roundabout hits all the right notes.

The best Deck Building video game around right now, as it works for veterans and casuals at the same time.

A wonderful entrant in the series that has gotten better with age.

Crashes, glitches, bugs and constant below-par combat manage to undermine the gorgeous art style.

Hit and miss humour and some ropey stabs at surrealism aren’t enough to spoil solidly crafted and frequently beguiling storytelling. Just bare in mind it won’t last long.

Evolve is a game that walks a fine tightrope of success and failure with its setup. Luckily it manages to stay balanced and become a worthwhile purchase.

Now is a great time to jump in for new players, but established players will quickly tire of grinding the same content.

Visually spectacular and mechanically solid from moment to moment, but fundamentally flawed.

It felt mean spirited, harsh and unbalanced.

Guilty Gear Xrd is an easy game to recommend to any fighting game enthusiast and a brilliant entry point to the series, and those with a passing interest in the genre will learn a lot from the excellent tutorials.

It feels like it has been made with a lot more care and attention than most big budget titles from last year and it has found a deserving home on current gen consoles.

Whilst I was aware of The Escapists, it was never a game on my most wanted list, but having now played for a good number of hours and still only scratching the surface, I can wholeheartedly recommend picking this up and get involved with one of the first great indie titles of 2015.

A great noir adventure let down by technical issues, and features missing from its superior PC counterpart.

If you love your retro inspired platformers then you really need to own this.

There is a lot about Criminal Girls: Invite Only that is good, but as usual, it is hard to dig beneath the needless sexual content.

An interesting opening to what will hopefully grow to be something quite special.
