The Golden Compass is just another family-friendly film cash-in with a huge number of inexcusable technical glitches.- GameSpot

No matter how starved you might be for old-timey role-playing, give The Legend of Candlewind a wide berth. This is a terrible, aggravating experience bound to disappoint you no matter how much you might want to relive the glory days of Eye of the Beholder.- GameSpot

Somewhere along the line Sega lost sight of what makes the series work. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric has a laundry list of problems, and not just problems inherent to the modern Sonic franchise, but failings of basic design.- GameSpot

Much like Gollum's quest for the One Ring, my quest to complete The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was full of endless setbacks, impossible odds, and ever-increasing levels of madness. And, like Gollum, my journey was doomed from the start. So if the developers' main goal was to really put you in the shoes of such a pitiful, unloveable character faced with constant pain and suffering at every turn, they were at least successful at that.- GameSpot

A disaster in just about every imaginable fashion. A few patches may yet round it into some kind of playable shape, but right now this is simply another cookie-cutter RTS loaded with serious bugs and unfulfilled potential.- GameSpot

As a team-based shooter with vehicles, the game strives to recapture the magic of "Battlefield 1942" in a sci-fi setting but fails miserably.- GameSpot

About as incoherent and obnoxious as the ramblings of a bored frat boy who's holding an empty six-pack and a boom box, except with Nightcaster II, you have to pay $40 to be subjected to it.- GameSpot

You can pass through most of the game in this way without ever having to fight, which means that Arthur's Quest is either an action game with an exceedingly poor design or a fast-paced, arcade-style coward simulator.- GameSpot

More punishment than game. No matter what the box says, this isn't so much a fantasy role-playing game as it is a medieval torture device right up there with the rack and the iron maiden.- GameSpot

It's hard to imagine that anyone would want his or her name prominently displayed on such an abysmal game, especially one whose only distinguishing feature is that it's actually even worse than the awful game that preceded it, a contender for worst game of last year, Elite Forces: Navy SEALs.- GameSpot
