Rivals delivers a polished and nuanced gameplay experience, with a monetization model tacked on that stands the chance of delivering a frustrating experience or feeling like the game is nudging you to open up your wallet for a smoother experience. We’ll see if it stands the test of time, but at the very least it provides a really interesting look at what RTS can do on mobile.

Grime is, much like its central character, an odd amalgamation of ideas, from Souls based RPGs, to platforming punch em ups, all oddly twisted into something that looks like a little nightmare all its own. If you’re looking for something different but utterly beautiful, then Grime is worth your time.

Despite any drawbacks, I found the game to be very absorbing and challenging. Gameplay requires a balance of skill and quick maneuvering as well as equipment upgrading and intelligent item use to keep you alive. After progressing through level after increasingly difficult level I found myself continually more compelled to play on and discover the intents behind the forces fighting for dominance on this dark and lonely moon.

Phoenix Point is an entertaining experience for all of those who interested in the tactical-strategy genre. It mostly uses the same elements that we’d seen in the XCOM series, but thanks to several new features, the gameplay distinguishes itself from XCOM. Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is a fascinating study of a bygone era in America, though it clearly has roots in today’s world and modern urban legends It’s got so much personality, so much to offer and provides such an insight into how our culture developed over the course of its history. While featuring clunky controls, it’s well worth the price of admission.

The success of Hogwarts Legacy clearly shows that good sales and warm feedback from players are ensured not so much by the gameplay thought out to the smallest detail but by carefully reproducing the right atmosphere. But this is already a subtle moment, akin to real magic, and here the nameless developers of Avalanche Software succeeded.

Into the Emberlands is a cozy little adventure in the beautiful world full of charming creatures. It captures players attention with the visual and a low entry threshold, keeping their interest through generative worlds and varieties of the biomes to explore. However, the lack of deeper challenges or surprises may leave players craving more as they progress and ruin the desire to return to this world once again.

This game has everything I personally love in a third person action shooter. It provides a satisfying blend of action and story with the freedom of play, personable characters, and a compelling storyline. If you enjoy a thoughtful tactical shooter, then I would recommend giving Rogue Trooper Redux a try.

Overall, Starfield is fine. It's a Frankenstein's monster of other sci-fi games and references, and it doesn't do any of those things better than existing products. The battle? Cyberpunk 2077 is smoother. Mining and geological exploration? This is all No Man's Sky. Controlling the ship? FTL still reigns. RPG story? Can't compare to Outer Worlds. But even after all this, the game is good and will keep players engaged for a long, long while.

The battles are frantic, the breadth of units is awesome, and the variety of game modes and diverse places to progress mean that Conqueror’s Blade is a great game to play for both casual and dedicated players. Its open-ended and broad nature also mean that there are plenty of avenues to explore, whether on the world map, in terms of mechanics, or even progression. Just be prepared for to sink the necessary amount of time to enjoy all that it has to offer.

While The Refuge, released on the PS Vita, is not present this does not impact gameplay and the Switch version of this title is far superior to its previous mobile incarnation. The team at Coatsink has optimized this title, making excellent use of the Switch’s power. If you were disappointed by the pace of Sonic Forces and absolutely love games like Rayman Legends, then this game will have you hooked. Shu is out now in the Nintendo eShop.

Children Of Morta is a nice, story-driven action RPG that plays very well on the Nintendo Switch, especially in undocked mode. The hurdle is getting past the pixel art graphics. You'll either not like them, and skip over this game, or embrace them and be treated to a hefty action RPG and story-driven experience.

It’s a great romp through nostalgia and an excellent example of what proper remakes should be. The PC version is king and that’s the version you should buy.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - The Lord of Nothing is an interesting addition to the game. While the story is focused on a separate cast of characters from one of the previous DLCs, the main game also gets a number of additional Archetypes and feats as well as an incredible boss fight that will test your builds and gear to the limit.

The Red Strings Club is a fascinating exploration of humanity, emotion, ethics, and our own preconceptions of evil. It tackles some huge topics, and while it does not manage to meet all of it’s potential it is worth playing just to visit The Red Strings Club, pull up a chair, and try something different.

For three bucks on Steam it’s a no-brainer if you’re looking for a good way to kill time before bed or, if you’re a true sneaky mastermind, at work while you should be writing memos and whatnot.

All in all, I loved Heart of the Forest. I was frustrated by some of the choice mechanics, but it was never enough to make me stop playing. I wanted to push through to the end every time to see whether or not their stories could be saved. A game that keeps you coming back well after the first playthrough is a precious treat in my eyes, and Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest had me eating right out of its paws.
