Syberia: The World Before doesn’t make the same mistakes as its awful predecessor. Good old mouse controls are back, as is the beautiful architecture and weird automatons the series became known for. The story takes a while to get going but once it does, it’s gripping.

A full-blown Resident Evil title. It proves Nintendo 3DS capabilities with its great atmosphere. Along with its fine visuals and excellent gameplay, no one should miss the opportunity to play this game.

Wulverblade is an absolutely uncompromising fighter game with breathtaking audiovisual and honestly prepared historical assets. Unfortunately, its brutal difficulty is absurdly driven to the extreme by a special movement system. But for true masochists, it's actually a plus.

Hybrid strategy Stellaris promises a vibrant and changing universe for your space adventure. Although it doesn´t achieve its magnificent goals, it’s close enough to be a great game for every galactic strategist and explorer.

If you want to experience the "Vietnam trauma", play Rising Storm 2. This multiplayer action is almost tuned to the max and extremely nerve-wracking. Only if the authors would add more content.

New, yet old-fashioned, still fun and fresh. Gas Guzzlers Extreme fuels the Super gas, and as a second try to grab the motorist's heart it offers entertainment that is golden. Please, scarp the all mainstream racing games. This one has the potential to win the arcade of the year title.

We'll still have to wait for successors to giants like Medieval II or Rome II, but even so, Pharaoh is the best attempt at a historical Total War since Attila, despite borrowing many systems from Warhammer or Saga-labeled titles. Add an extra point if you have an affinity to ancient Egypt and can be satisfied with two or three completed campaigns. On the other hand, if you expect extensive entertainment for hundreds of hours or units that rival the fantasy branch of the series in diversity, you may soon start to get bored with Pharaoh.

You can’t find a better American football game. Not because there is not another game, but mainly because this one is pretty damn good. It looks great, sounds great, and plays great.

An excellent adventure game, returning you to your childhood years to enjoy your lightheartedness for a while, like you did in those past times. Do not be expecting great gaming challenges, this is more about believing in the game's fairy tale world touching your heart.

Although the fourth episode of the Cognition series is the shortest one, there's no need for thrilling and heartbreaking moments. Altogether with the three previous pieces they form an excellent mysterious thriller no adventure games fan should pass.

Technically there are not many changes, but the important core has remained: exciting cases, interesting characters, movie narrative, great atmosphere of the 1940s. L.A. Noire is a game like a few others, and despite some mistakes in a game design, the fun is same as it was six years ago.

This bloody sandbox rampage through the crowds of undead belongs to the most entertaining launch titles of the winter. Its no way amazing graphics along with its unimaginative story are saved by its great gameplay along with dozens of crazy weapons along with its entertaining co-operative mode. On top of that, there are no more frustrating moments from the previous installments.

Helldivers 2 offers a lot of fun in massacring bug or robot populations, and all it takes are a few well-executed gameplay elements, which become most enjoyable when played with a group of friends.

The dark and very particular expedition into the bizarre world, where every corner hides madness. Gorgeous graphics go hand in hand with a standard adventure gameplay, and that "something extra" inserts into the game moral choices. Too bad that some puzzles have no added value and the movement on the screens is a bit floating. Even so, this is an excellent adventure, that should not be overlooked.

A successful remaster of the puzzle-action adventure that retains its charming touch of light horror. Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, however, doesn't hide its slightly outdated structure and a few period-specific bugs that could use a bit of vacuuming.

Great turn-based strategy game with quirky animals stylized in medieval illuminations. Inkulinati is addictive, illustrations are funny and imaginative, but challenging battles against ink monsters will thoroughly test your logical thinking. Beneath its cute exterior lies a small but complex strategy game.

Path of Exile surprises in many aspects. Speaking of an action Diablo-style RPG, it's considered a chestnut. However, the New Zealand developers pleased us with complexity, ideas, and especially with unique gameplay.

One of the best LEGO video games up to date. The reasons are: it doesn't have flaws as the previous LEGO titles and it intensifies the action with characters' voices along with using the whole potential of the Batman universe.

If you find contemporary platformers too difficult, with Giana Sisters you are going to change your opinion, regardless of the game's unlimited number of lives. Giana Sisters is, despite its higher difficulty level, an interestingly designed and entertaining platform game, counting on your precise coordination and the ability to quickly change between the heroines and their worlds.

The second installment of Coffee Talk is carried by its atmosphere and nostalgia. There aren’t many innovations, but they’re not needed when the fans get exactly what they want – more of the same, more of the great. The characters deal with ordinary issues and despite that, there’s depth to be found in every conversation. A soothing return to the familiar, cozy establishment.

Blasphemous 2 has everything a proper metroidvania should have and plenty more besides. It’s properly difficult, it boasts wondrous exploration, epic bossfights and an imaginative world. So it doesn’t really matter that it’s not very different from the previous instalment.

Natural Selection 2 is an interestingly tactical and multiplayer game for patient and thinking gamers. Currently, however, it suffers from the initial pain, and one of the reasons is a lack of new content. But all will be changed with the updates and with the gamers' creativity along with their mods of their liking. Still, the important thing is the game content right now, not only for its mechanics, but for its atmosphere and its loyal community that are fascinating as well.
