N64 owners yet to experience the delights of the Resident Evil games should put this on the top of their shopping list. Tense, thrilling, well-designed and addictive, Resident Evil 2 has it all.

The graphics are mindblowing, while the gameplay is perfect and easy to get to grips with. Along with the substantial variety of tracks and the fun of the multiplayer mode, CTR is an experience not to be missed.

None of the problems which plague Jet Force Gemini really prevent if from being a good game. It's not the best that Rare have ever produced, but it can still prove to be an enthralling challenge.

The only real complaint I have with Tony Hawk's is the fact that the game gets very samey after a while.

All things considered, the engine is superb and it’s surprising the poor Playstation doesn’t start smoking from the vents.

May not be the perfect game everyone expects from Square, but I challenge any FF player to get into it and not get hooked.

The level structure and overall design is top notch, resulting in a game which is fun and which instils the player with a feeling of progression.

This is something that shouldn't be passed up by anyone. If you are impatient with videogames or don't like GT style racing games, I suggest you at least give it a rent. Play a few hours and unlock a few cars, you'll be hooked and will love every second of it.

Whilst Namco's latest offering may lack the pedantic attention to detail and realistic physics of Gran Turismo, it makes up for it with pure, high-octane thrills. And nothing else on the PlayStation can come close...

Street Fighter Alpha 3 won't steal the profile from the more flashy entries in the fighting genre, but those who know, will find the best fighting experience next to a "Virtua Fighter 3" arcade machine.

It doesn't do a lot radically new, but it does present a decent racing challenge and an excellent two player mode.

Giant leaps, wild turns, and the mix of realistic settings and fantasy side-shows makes these some of the best courses I've seen in awhile.

The control in this game is simply its worst feature, and it will probably cause some players to grow frustrated and put this title down too early.

Despite the slight lack of originality and a couple of minor problems, Syphon Filter grabs you and doesn't let go.

An excellent game that should be embraced by all gamers (Nintendo haters and loves alike). The best party game since "Super Bomberman 2."

A worthy 3D update of the 2D classics. It's a decent third-person action game with a decent story and great atmosphere.

One of the most enjoyable first-person perspective shoot 'em ups that I've ever played. If you enjoy this style of game, don't miss it! Oh, and be sure to get one of those 4MB expansion paks so that you can enjoy it in full high-resolution splendour.

A truly remarkable achievement. Nintendo have created a beautiful game world and breathed life into it with puzzles, secrets, enemies, and loveable characters that will completely engross gamers around the globe. Stunning attention to detail is present throughout the game and is constantly evident in the visuals, audio and gameplay.

Although the gameplay is as involving as it ever was, the lack of innovation means that you feel you're playing an expansion pack for "Tomb Raider 2" than a completely new version.

Rogue Squadron is truly a great game. It has almost everything going for it, graphics, sound, gameplay, & the whole Star Wars theme. Only the semi-repetitive missions and the occasional slowdown mar it. If you are a Star Wars fan or an arcade shooter fan, this is a must buy.

The bottom line is that great presentation and compelling gameplay will win this game many friends, although more 'serious' gamers may feel that games should be more original.

Plays exceptionally well. The cool design, well-balanced weapons, challenging courses and blistering speed of the Wipeout games have been perfectly retained in the N64's first encounter with the series.

You can effectively race through the levels without being forced to solve all of the game's puzzles, which strikes me as something of a waste, and a concession to those less impatient souls that want to see all they can from a game in the shortest space of times.

We may be looking at the greatest game of the decade here.

A superb game, but possibly not to everyone's taste. It turns the 3D platform genre on its head with its fresh approach to puzzles, but it can be a frustrating experience at times. If you want something a bit different to the standard N64 fare, this is definitely worth a look.
