Sonic X Shadow Generations is a 2011 remaster that enhances an already fantastic game. Introduce a new campaign featuring Shadow the Hedgehog, who has unique abilities and powers to explore large and secret levels. Additionally, this new version provides better graphics quality, making it the best version of the game.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail has changes in the direction of this MMO after 10 years of its initial release. Dawntrail has a slower pace, but once we get down to it, we will find everything that makes this title special.

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a collection of two must-play platforming classics, now returning for modern Nintendo consoles. While their gameplay quality and technical improvements are undeniable, the compilation adds very little in terms of new content. Still, both titles remain essential experiences for platforming fans and longtime Mario enthusiasts.

Sonic Frontiers has given me good moments that I haven't had in a long time with our blue hedgehog. Many will wonder if being open world was a success, and the answer is yes. It is a very fun and intuitive game in which we will be busy with all the challenges it offers. Watching Sonic take on enemies, especially the big ones, is very satisfying. It is not a perfect game on a visual level but it is a necessary game in our lives.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! It is a very Yakuza-like game but in a Feudal Japan setting. It's great to see familiar faces in another setting and interpreting a story based on true events. It maintains the playable bases of the series as well as its mechanics that will keep us busy for a long time.

Grand Theft Auto 5 for Playstation 5 remains a game to consider, especially with the graphics enhancements implemented and the new options. However, with visual enhancements and new multiplayer content, we're still waiting on GTA 6.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is a well-deserved update to one of the franchise’s highest-rated entries. While the added content is fairly modest, it remains the perfect entry point for anyone looking to dive into the world of the “Dragon of Dojima.”

This game is definitely the way to go when it comes to gathering old-fashioned games. With three games that push the boundaries of Nintendo DS exclusivity and an additional game with two versions of the same game adapted to newer systems, this is an absolute must-have purchase.

Stellar Blade takes the best of the Soulslike genre and the NieR: Automata game to give us a game full of unbridled action whose protagonist will win the hearts of all of us. It is a challenging game that encourages you to be risky and has very grotesque-looking enemy designs.

Triangle Strategy is a turn-based strategy game that everybody will love. The plot is thick and will make us read dialogues for several hours, but this is compensated for by its unique characters and the game system.

2024 started strong with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, a more than worthy sequel to the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio franchise. It is one of the longest and most extensive games but it has the original formula, a series of interesting new features were added. We have too many side activities that can overwhelm older players.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II not only refines what made the first game great but also solidifies Warhorse Studios as a developer capable of delivering exceptional historical RPGs. Fans of medieval-themed games looking for a challenging and rewarding adventure are in the right place.

Silksong is the highly anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight, expanding on its predecessor both in story and gameplay. It charms with a more agile protagonist, a world that’s a joy to explore, and a soundtrack full of standout tracks. Still, the difficulty can feel a bit over the top at times, which might put off new players and frustrate veterans. Even so, it remains an absolute must-play.

Little Nightmares III returns to explore the deepest childhood fears, this time through a haunting co-op adventure. Familiar mechanics take on new life as two players navigate eerie environments, solve clever cooperative puzzles, and uncover a renewed narrative focus. While it has a few frustrating moments, it remains a highly recommended and chilling experience.

TopSpin 2K25 makes a solid return to the franchise with this reboot, giving tennis lovers a decent simulator that is worth playing. The playable roster is incredible, the new reward system "The Center Court Pass" is interesting and will keep us busy. This game is one of the best releases in the sports genre so far this year.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is a strong entry in the musou genre, built around a shared-narrative take on The Legend of Zelda. In terms of gameplay, it’s one of the genre’s highlights, offering well-executed mechanics that feel consistently satisfying. It blends classic Hack & Slash action with signature Zelda elements in a way that works smoothly, all while staying true to its roots.

Mario Tennis Fever stands as a solid entry in the franchise's sports lineup. Fun, varied, and featuring interesting mechanics of its own, it may not revolutionize the series, but it adapts seamlessly to the technical capabilities of the Switch 2. It firmly earns its place among the console’s recommended exclusives.

Donkey Kong Bananza delivers everything we hoped for in a modern 3D adventure starring Nintendo’s most beloved ape. Its addictive, destruction-focused gameplay, clever level design, and surprisingly developed story are definite highlights. However, the lack of real challenge makes it feel too easy at times. On top of that, the overwhelming amount of collectibles feels excessive and unnecessary for a game that didn’t need them to shine.

NieR: Automata – The End of YoRHa Edition is a good choice for Nintendo Switch owners. It has everything great that the game was acclaimed for upon its release in 2017 and adds never-before-seen content. It is admirable how they condensed a game of these dimensions on this platform.

Saros is definitely a solid, challenging, and very well-executed game within the Roguelike/Bullet Hell genre. Although it features simplified mechanics reminiscent of Returnal, it distinguishes itself enough to keep fans of the genre interested. Visually, it is one of the most beautiful games in the recent history of this generation, featuring an interesting plot and frantic gameplay. Even though it no longer has the element of surprise, it is a highly recommended game.

Nintendo Switch 2 gets what may be the best pro wrestling game to date with WWE 2K25. Visually, it outperforms the weaker entries seen on the original Switch and holds a solid 60fps for most of the experience, with only minor hiccups. Nearly all of the content from other platforms made it into this version, except for the controversial cross-platform sharing feature. Still, it remains highly enjoyable and one of the most complete wrestling titles on a Nintendo console.

FromSoftware proves it hadn't shown everything with Elden Ring, delivering a bold yet effective new experience in Nightreign. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA for PS5 is a good way to get into the franchise, even if we haven't played a previous game in the series. Pokémon Pokopia is a great blend of concepts as disparate as Pokémon, Minecraft, and Animal Crossing, which surprisingly work. It is an entertaining spin-off full of activities, always maintaining its 'Pocket Monsters' essence. Yakuza Kiwami 2 for Nintendo Switch 2 stands as the best version of one of the franchise’s greatest entries, letting players enjoy it both on TV and in handheld mode. With optimized visuals, full Spanish text support, dynamic combat, and the unmistakable storytelling style of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. While the portable mode doesn’t fully showcase its graphical potential, it remains an excellent way to continue the saga on the go.

Despite its flaws, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond stands as a worthy entry in the series, with solid systems and mechanics that still hold up today. Its gameplay is intuitive and fun, though it sometimes guides the player a bit too much. Retro Studios isn’t trying to redefine the genre and instead plays it safe, but the result is still a highly recommendable title—as long as you know what to expect from it.

WWE 2K23 feels pretty good with at least the two modes available to try. Slingshot technology makes the experience totally different. WarGames mode gives the game quite a fresh air where players can enjoy the challenges either single player or multiplayer. The graphics have been improved compared to the previous ones and we finally have a good optimization, better times when loading the screen without leaving aside an improved mechanic that makes us enjoy every wrestler.
