There are a few things that I wish were different about Guitar Hero III, but they don’t diminish the fact that this game is as enjoyable as any in the series. PS3 owners, it’s time to rock.

There's only one issue with the game that prevents me from recommending it to everyone, and that's the way the weapon throws are controlled.

Gorogoa is a good fit for the Switch. The four panel interface is a good fit for a portable game and you can play the game entirely using the touch screen. While it makes for a good portable game, you should probably make your way through the game without long breaks in between as it can be hard to remember what panels led you to the current stage of the puzzle and how you last manipulated the current panels. Overall, Gorogoa is an unusual and unique puzzle game, and it's easy to recommend to anyone who enjoys games of this genre.

If you’re not into hip-hop, then FFNY will be a bit hard to take. The game practically oozes with it, from the language to the story to the celebrity rappers to the extensive hip-hop soundtrack.

I was very pleasantly surprised by A Plague Tale. Don't let its setting or theme cloud your judgment and keep you from playing this game. It's a fun and rather unique game, and one that will compel you to keep playing it until you reach its end.

Overall, if you enjoy Dynasty Warriors 8 and you want the console version that runs the smoothest, be sure to check out the Switch version. Even with the slight flaws it carries, the Switch version is the ultimate version of DW8 for me.

The game manages to hit that sweet spot for mobile games where a simple concept is made both fun and challenging; running around the screen dodging attacks while jamming on a guitar is a blast.

A beacon of innovation to be held aloft for others to follow in its ideals. But the trouble is it doesn't always shine (the game or the weather) and the result is a rather limited and gimmicky appeal.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a massive game set in an incredible recreation of an ancient world. I wish the special moves were a little less clunky to use and that assassinations always resulted in kills, but these are minor complaints when compared to the fun that I had in the game. It might not be an Assassin's Creed game in the strictest sense, but the journey across Ancient Greece that Odyssey took me on was well worth the ride.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a great fighting game for players that favor a style of fighting similar to Street Fighter. It’s actually a great game for beginners with all the help you can get from the game’s tutorial mode. It will be interesting to see how this game stacks up with other fighters at major tournaments. I have already seen it showcased at a few tournaments and hope to see more of it. The only thing the game is really lacking is story mode completion and a bigger roster. Other than that, it’s a very solid fighter.

If you don't like tower defense games, then Defense Grid won't change your mind about the genre. However, if you do enjoy the occasional tower game or enjoy strategy games in general, Defense Grid is definitely worth your time.

Easy to recommend to adventure gaming fans. It is a great mix of puzzle solving and acrobatic platform action that makes for some great gaming fun. Finally, Tomb Raider has returned to the excitement that made it a legend in the first place.

Fans of The Evil Within need to give this game a shot since it has ideas taken from that game at times. If you’ve ever played Breakdown for the original Xbox (it’s a classic on the Xbox store also), Ghostwire Tokyo has that level of immersion in it, but it focuses more on projectile combat rather than melee combat. If you haven’t tried out this game yet, you need to. Everyone should experience this game since it feels fresh and it’s got quite an addicting style of combat. Support unique games such as this, so we get more!

Overall, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is the ultimate version of SFV. If you just want to get a big package of costumes without paying much for them, this game is definitely a value! If you’ve waited until now to pick up SFV then Champion Edition should be a definite pickup for you.

SingStar is not necessarily a game in the traditional sense, but it does make for a great party activity and a good alternative to purchasing a home karaoke machine. If you want to have a good time with some close friends, it certainly delivers that.

Even though there is repetition to the missions, you’ll still look forward to jumping into your next one. Building a supervillain and carefully configuring his or her power set will keep you logging back into the game again and again.

MLB 07 adds even more to the series’ traditionally strong network support. In addition to Infrastructure and Ad Hoc games and leagues, you can also pick up roster updates and MLB news. Perhaps the coolest thing here though is the real-time gamecast support that lets you follow games in progress. Talk about a baseball fan’s dream feature.

My advice is to wait until this game gets a major price cut, check out the whole "time moves when you do concept" (in) one evening, and then think about all of the amazing things that could have been done with that concept and how SUPERHOT wasted the opportunity to do any of them.

I don't think it is any secret that Monster Hunter is one of my favorite gaming franchises, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is hands-down the absolute best Monster Hunter yet. There are literally hundreds of hours of stuff to do in this game, and the upgrades from Monster Hunter Tri make this an even more tantalizing treat.
