The Run has perpetual tunnel vision: too blind to see its restricting nature and too focused to care even if it could. The opening strokes of tearing velocity and lush American landscapes are inviting, but only carry so much weight.

House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut is just fun to play, which is likely what Headstrong was going for, and what arcade players are looking for.

Off the Record isn't a terrible game. It's still has the same gameplay systems and wacky combo weapons as the original DR2, flaws and all. It just doesn't need to exist and I struggle to find any reason to recommend it.

Games can often sell on concepts. Dungeon Defenders is no different. But its classical style and easy to learn gameplay give it a solid edge.

The cooperative multiplayer provides some fun moments, but it's obvious that All 4 One represents a step back for the Ratchet & Clank franchise.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, while not especially unique, provides a lot of fun especially during the DFM moments both on and offline. However, most of the game is taken straight from Modern Warfare and its simple controls risks alienating hardcore fans.

The knuckle-whitening, often horror-infused experiences inside of RAGE are essential to the vernacular of modern shooters. The pretty case they come in is not.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a great game for Spider-Man fans, but if it had varied locales and more engaging combat, it would be a masterpiece. Nevertheless, it paints a very nice picture for the future of Spider-Man games.

Fun in short doses, Ms. Splosion Man is not a game I'd spend more than 20 or 30 minutes with at a time.

Fans of good ol' fashioned automotive mayhem with $10 to spare may want to give Burnout Crash! a shot. It can be repetitious at times, but the inclusion of autolog and the addictive gameplay make it a solid downloadable offering.

More time in the oven (it may be years yet) may prove a glorious revolution. For now, the heinously awkward movement controls are as low-rent as the storyline.

Sky Drift is a solid racing game that has the potential to be great, but is held back by the lack of local multiplayer and content.

Rock of Ages, while simple in design, is still an enjoyable experience that you'll have to see to believe it. The game has multiplayer modes to keep you coming back for more despite some of its shortcomings.

Dead Island is a mixed bag. Everything it does right is done incredibly well, but the things it does wrong tend to negate the positives.

A game this rich in inspiration and bizarre in interpretation should be beheld; to be played, it seems, was not El Shaddai's priority.
