Gran Turismo 5 is in many ways a fantastic racing game, but it suffers from relatively severe deficiencies. The damage model is unforgivably weak, 800 of the 1000 cars are of low quality and the sound is too cheap. The handling is impeccable, however.

The Dragon Knight Saga contains two great role-playing games in one brilliant package. These are games every fan of the genre should try, provided they do not mind action-based combat instead of virtual dice.

It is obvious that the team behind this game had some sort of crazy fun vision, but the execution is lacking to say the least. Sometimes you just have to accept that some games are genuinely bad.

This game is huge, addictive and polished in every single manner. When it all comes to it, Hot Pursuit captures the very essence of what a racing game should be - fun.

The strategic roleplay saga continues beautifully with King's Bounty: Crossworlds. Two new campaigns and an improvement of the old one has been added, and gives new depth to the series. The entertainment value of the game is better than ever, even though the game engine, graphics and game system remains the same.

The early stages is very promising, with rock solid Wanzer control, and fun customization, but the boring level design quickly puts a dampener on the fun.

This is without a doubt one of the best licensed games ever. It is impressively faithful to the show, and you'll be amazed by the beautiful graphics and the awesome battles.

This game does most things right on the first attempt, and there's no significant quality difference between it and main rival UFC: Undisputed. This is a great choice if you want an MMA game that is accessible and rewarding.

Despite the poor presentation, WRC manages to be a pretty entertaining rally game, refreshingly free from offroad segments and extreme sports nonsense. In the long run, however, it suffers from repetitive tracks and an unexiting campaign.

Pure garbage is one way to put it, but it would be strict. This ridiculous racer has it's moments, deeply hidden in between terrible controls that will make you test if the Move controllers can destroy a TV.

Medal of Honor represents a decent comeback for the series, with the somewhat special backdrop of an ongoing conflict. The story is thin and we've seen most of the gameplay in similar titles before. In other words, nothing new or groungbreaking from EA Games.

The sequel to one of the most iconic Xbox 360 games does not disappoint. The boss fights may be terrible, but the rest of the game is gaming made fun, pure and simple. You won't have this much fun with dismemberment anywhere else.

Enslaved offers a truly fantastic experience, and I am having a hard time not recommending it to everyone I know, but its potential makes you wonder what could have been.

Hegemony: Philip of Macedon is a good strategy game which offers plenty of historical challenges. Play Philip, the father of Alexander, as you try and gather the city states of Greece under your banner. The strategic elements are entertaining and go deep, but tactical combat is underdeveloped and bland.

The same old issues like awkward ball physics, unnatural interaction between players, sloppy animations and a ridiculous menu system makes most changes irrelevant. Pro Evolution Soccer is in dire need of a round with the defibrillator before next year.

This game definitely isn't perfect, but it is the most solid addition to the FIFA franchise thus far. FIFA 11 represents the greatest and most mature simulation of football in a video game to this date.

Delve Deeper is a funny and interesting strategy game. You send gangs of dwarves deep into the mountain to gather riches for their king, and whoever finds the most is the winner. The game has many smart strategic elements, but lacks depth and content to be anything but an amusing interlude between greater strategy games.

Although R.U.S.E. is clearly put together by quite standard RTS norms, it stands out as a strategy game with refreshing tactical elements. The singleplayer campaign, graphics and sound are a bit sloppy, but a well-built game mechanics and fun multiplayer makes it well worth playing for strategy enthusiasts as well as newcomers to the genre.

NHL 11 is not only the ultimate hockey game, it's the ultimate sports game. EA Sports gives us the authentic feel of the NHL in a game where you are the star. It's no doubt in my mind that this is the sports game of the year 2010.
