Oct 27, 2010For gamers who don't enjoy the realism from EA's Skate, Shaun White Skateboarding delivers an enjoyable break from reality. However, hardcore fans of the genre may not find their fix here. Still, Shaun White Skateboarding adds its own unique twist as well as much needed innovation to the skateboarding genre.

Jan 10, 2011Ubisoft deserves credit for its effort to create a different skating experience. Bending rails and ramps in succession feels like being on a morphing rollercoaster ride, and the shifting cityscape is a treat for the eyes. Unfortunately the rest of the game plays it safe with missions and features one could find in any other skating title.

Dec 20, 2010Just don't expect it to be all skate parks and vert ramps, this is a third person story-based game with you at the centre, it just so happens that in this case you're balancing on a bit of wood with four wheels attached.
-
Dec 20, 2010It's a title only advisable for those who did not like EA's Skate and liked the style of Tony Hawk games.

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaJan 24, 2011Shaun White Skateboarding just feels a bit limp. The skating itself is competent but not tactile, and trekking back to a skate shop, rather than just an in game menu, to buy moves wears thin after a short while. Kudos for finding a way of distinguishing the game from its competitors, but Skate 2 is still chairman of the board. [December 2010 p75]

Playstation Official Magazine UKDec 25, 2010Much like Laser Quest this is theoretically brilliant but a disappointment in reality. [Issue#51, p.109]

Dec 20, 2010Skate taps into a state of mind. Shaun White is just a succession of awkward obstacles posing as challenges in a game with bad controls and clunky animation.
