Dirt 4 is a strong game for both casual fans and racing diehards. Not all new features are amazing, which keeps Dirt 4 from being brilliant.

Path of Exile is a unique game. Not because of its contents, because we’ve seen all of that before and many times done better, but simply because it’s a full featured dungeon crawler that’s completely free. Especially Diablo 2-fans shouldn’t miss out on this.

Returnal combines the adrenaline of a bullet hell shooter, the depth of a roguelike and the allure of a blockbuster game. That special mix provides a gaming experience that is as unforgettable as it is unforgivable.

Our thumbs still hurt from the original, but Olliolli2 makes us just as addicted as the first. More content, more tricks and higher scores; this really is the perfect sequel.

The PC-version of Assassin’s Creed II is a copy of the console-version, with two new levels, decent keyboard- and mouse-control and a hideous DRM-security which will be a huge turn-off for many gamers. Other than that Assassin’s Creed II is still a great game that improves on the original.

Forza Motorsport 7 is a refined, comprehensive and excellent game, that does not really change racing, but does offer a great deal of entertainment in its genre.

Everything that was good about Mortal Kombat, is still there. The game offers a very entertaining fighting system for newbies and more competitive players, plus a fair amount of single-player content, new characters, great online modes and of course bloody, gory violence.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered balances on the fine line between remake and remaster. It is a fine facelift for a phenomenal game though.

Once you understand that Cyberpunk is "just" an open world RPG, you will see that the once mythical promise of next-gen gaming is nothing more and nothing less than a very enjoyable buffet of thrilling missions with highly competent game systems. Cyberpunk 2077 offers nothing we haven't seen before, except for the fantastic graphics. Keanu Reeves' character Johnny Silverhand takes the main story way above the middle ground, and the freedom to take on any mission to your liking is well worked out. Furthermore, Cyberpunk 2077 is "just" a very good RPG.

If you have not yet played Xenoblade Chronicles, this is your chance. This excellent adventure, with its huge game world, compelling story and balanced fighting system, is magical, even though the screen of the 3DS is a small one.

With Dirt Rally Codemasters shows why it focuses on racing games. The rally feeling from Colin McRae Rally is back, and might be even better. If this is the way Dirt Rally is headed, this game has a bright future ahead.

Rymdkapsel is a special strategy game for your tablet or phone. Play it for fifteen minutes and you'll end up confused. Play it longer and you'll imagine you're playing a classic RTS, without a story though. Rymdkapsel looks charming with its minimalistic graphics and limits itself to the essentials, but in the end this is also the reason why it plays like many other games in the genre.

After ten years this game still knows how to impress. The HD version is excellent, but it does offer the minimum of what you'd expect. It is mostly the same game with just a few minor tweaks, one of which is Amiibo support which is to be totally neglected.

Trails of Cold Steel is an excellent mix of Suikodens political business, Persona's Social Link-system and the daily fun of Grandia, while still being a Trails-game. This is definitely one to recommend to any JRPG-fan you might know.

Cadence of Hyrule offers the rhythmic gameplay of Crypt of the NecroDancer, wrapped into the Zelda franchise. That is truly something special, though the game gets a bit too easy after a very challenging start.

Monster Hunter Generations respects its roots, but makes a big difference in character customization. This might not be the best choice for newcomers, but veterans can enjoy this game for many months to come.

Developer Daniel Mullens returns with another strange meta-game about card games, games in general and player expectations. Astonishingly he once more succeeds in completely surprising us, which at this point isn't much of a surprise.

Conviction manages to make stealth a mass market feature. Mark and execute is a fantastic addition. The co-op missions are the highlight of the game. It’s just too bad the singleplayer lacks big, open missions like in the old games.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope gets the most out of it as a sequel. The skeleton of the original has remained intact, but almost the entire gameplay system has been overhauled. That works out well, since players are kept much more engaged and are also much more free. The fights are sometimes on the long side, but that's one of the few problems.

The crazy awesome puzzles would have been a game in itself, but the philosophical layer on top of it makes The Talos Principle an experience to never ever forget. A very original game, but we would have like the difficulty to go up a bit quicker.

If Ghibli would ever produce a game… it'd be over in two hours. Luckily the animation-studio started working on their game with Level-5. The result is an immensely expansive and typical Japanese RPG, with all of its negative and positive consequences. Above all, Ni No Kuni is a magical journey that'll make you feel like a kid again, in a surprisingly adult wizards-world.

UFC Undisputed 2010 kicks the original game on almost all accounts. The gameplay has been tweaked until it’s almost perfect. It’s too bad the new modes aren’t as good as we’d have hoped and the lag is really irritating. But overall, this is as good as you can get with the fighting sport. A better product compared to the original in almost every way.

This is a fighting game that has been made with love, that much is clear. It looks the part and plays the part. Even though the controls are overly simplified, fighting fans will lose themselves in the game thanks to all the characters and options. A fantastic addition to the weak offer of hardcore games on the Wii.

Dragon Age: Inquisition makes up for the way too short Dragon Age 2. The gameworld is huge and tremendously diverse. The franchise seems to go a bit less dark and intense, but it introduces a new blockbuster RPG standard that many developers will struggle to meet.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is the twist on the old Zelda formula that we've been craving. Classic systems like a large number of dungeons are still present, while the magic system makes for an incredible array of solutions to your problems. The named downsides, like the unintuitive item menu and the framedrops, are annoying, but otherwise do not bother this solid game.

Fight Night champion fights the good fight in upholding the tradition that each part is better than its predecessor. It's realistic, atmospheric, spectacular where necessary and exercises an approach on sports that other sport-games only dream of. It's too bad though that EA decided to give players who pay an extra fee an unfair edge over their online competitors.
