Galaga Legions DX is what Galaga Legions should've been. DX reignites the old arcadegame in this modern era. It can be played indefinitely to improve your scores and to head off your friends on the leaderboards. It's not hard, maybe even a tad too easy, but most definitely addicting. And that without having to insert countless amounts of quarters.

Mortal Kombat 1 mainly draws strength from the formula that made the series great. This means a high degree of accessibility, completely bizarre and grotesque characters and of course blood that flows (very) freely. Band Hero is Guitar Hero 5's casual sister in almost every way. All the elements from her big brother can be found in this game, along with the new Sing Along-mode and Party Play. The new features, the casual style and matching tracklist have made this a game that can compete with SingStar on every party. Add the ability to import the songs from Guitar Hero 5 and World Tour into the game and Band Hero is a game that is truly for everyone.

Yoshi's Crafted World is filled with beautifully designed platform levels. However, as a platformer it could have done so much more. Especially with the double layer in the game, which is disappointing.

Limbo lingers between heaven and hell. The beautifully laid out choreography of the experience rises to incredible heights, while it nails you down to your chair with its haunting atmosphere. It's a perfectly molded piece of art, that is shaping up to be one of the best titles of this year. While the art itself is timeless, the playtime is far from it. You'll be able to finish the game in mere hours, but luckily the game will stay with you long after.

The Wii version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands feels like the genuine sequel to The Sands of Time. It offers an exceptionally long single-player experience with variation, challenge and interesting gameplay mechanics. Flaws in the combat controls and the camera position don’t hurt the experience: this game is one of the surprises of the year.

Pokémon SoulSilver and HeartGold are good role playing games. Only the lack of originality will offend some players. In the end, these remakes are pretty much the best and most balanced Pokémon-games out there.

When a game can give you that unpleasant and creepy feeling you'll know that it's a decent horror title. And Siren: Blood Curse is just that. A very convincing Japanese horror game with a throat-grabbing atmosphere and the undead popping up more often than an economic crisis getting the front page of a newspaper.

A mysterious story and original puzzles come together to create an intelligent game for everyone. The game is perfect for all ages and Nintendo has even translated the dialogue to our own language. The only thing missing are some more challenging puzzles and more surprises in the story.

Tales of Vesperia's presentation is excellent and the characters really absorb you into the story. However, the simple battle system and the lack op depth prevent the game from rising to great heights.
