With crashes, issues with localisation, and an inability to progress, Chromatic Memories can’t be saved by the Avant-Garde artwork and Spanish music, and requires more updates before I can recommend it.

JustAxe is a beautiful 2D platformer, but the unremarkable storytelling, frustrating controls, and lacklustre combat make for an underwhelming experience.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is the crossover game that you never knew you wanted. Ninja Turtles mixed with Hades is a great combination that is fun solo or with friends!

There’s some fun to be had with Parkitect: Deluxe Edition, but the glaring issues and dodgy controls make this one tough to recommend. Stick to the brilliant PC version instead.

Love Tavern is a really odd game. It’s slipshod in so many ways, with a mishmash of different elements presented in what could have definitely been a mobile game.

Despite being very hard, and a little bit repetitive in places, this is a fine addition to a game that was already one of my favourite puzzlers of all time.

Abathor recreates the experience of playing side-scrolling beat ‘em ups in the arcade, with solo and local and online co-op modes available to challenge. With no save points, this is a very challenging experience!

Still Wakes the Deep has great characters and an interesting setting, but the magic quickly runs out once you notice the rails under your feet and the scripts the monsters are frantically reading. While I do recommend it, it may be worth waiting for a sale.

Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip is a hilarious journey with platforming, driving, puzzles, and laughs aplenty. While it may not last long, it is definitely a turbo trip you won't regret taking!

Let's Minesweeper is Minesweeper but bigger and with more players. It’s an average game that you can get into, but that all depends on how much you like and understand the rules of the original game.

Bite Night is funny enough, but it's short and there’s nothing to return to here.

Until Then is a story-rich adventure full of standouts: its beautiful pixel art, relatable protagonist, realistic character dynamics, and thoughtful representation of Filipino culture. It’s a coming-of-age tale worth experiencing.

Read Only Memories: Neurodiver is like a beautiful dream: it can sweep you off your feet with impeccable music, beautiful visuals, and an entertaining story, but once it’s over, it loses some lustre.

The Dark Cave is a fine roguelite that encourages thinking ahead and thinking on your feet. However, it just doesn’t quite hit its marks with its aesthetic and a little bit of its difficulty. Fun but not as memorable as it should be.

Anger Foot kicks ass, both figuratively and literally! It’s fast-paced and brutal, with a setting that just begs for you to go wild. Don’t sleep on this incredibly stupid and fun bout of focused chaos.

While definitely on the short side for its price, I had a lot of fun with how simple a game it is, and it’s perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Hot Lap Racing has a huge selection of classic and modern cars to drive on some awesome tracks, but the difficult tutorial may scare players off.

Magical Delicacy is a cooking metroidvania which you can easily lose yourself in. Like any good fantasy, it encourages exploration and it doesn’t punish you for your mistakes. With an intriguing story, you can really put yourself in Flora’s shoes as you learn about the Kingdom of Grat with her.

Despite a few instances where my interest waned, Kunitsu-Gami pulled me back in time and time again with its fast-paced combat and simple, yet rewarding, strategy elements.

Dystopika is a great city-builder, but lacks the depth and complexity to make it one of the best.

Thistlemine has an interesting gameplay loop, but sometimes the difficulty can feel unfair.

Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is one of the most beautiful games I have played. With great characters and a compelling story, it is sure to draw you in and challenge you.

SCHiM uses shadows in delightfully creative ways, turning ordinary objects into astoundingly helpful tools. This wholesome, vibrant 3D platformer offers an adventure that shouldn’t be missed.

A fun mix of roguelike and real-time strategy game, Necrosmith 2 will make you giggle at the sarcastic cat and have you coming back for more, especially if you have a Steam Deck, I suspect.

The Last Alchemist is a good time. It’s relaxing and cosy but also likes to make you rack your brain and experiment to come up with solutions to create, uh, solutions. It can feel like a chore at times, but the effort and time put into it is well worth it.

Paper Trail is a really nice game with a lot of fun to be had. It has some small issues and feels a little too short for its price, but is a great experience if that doesn’t bother you.

Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge is an adorable, cosy game, starring adorable frogs that has you working to save the wetlands. This game makes it feel like you are trying to help and make a difference.
