An admittedly wonderfully detailed passion project, but one that is mostly style over substance.- GameGrin

Symphonic Rain is perfect for someone new to visual novels and provides an unforgettable story that will stay with you for quite some time. It’s short, sweet, and packs a punch that you don’t see coming.- GameGrin

Fictorum deliveries on the promises it makes and is an enjoyable experience. It might look and feel a bit dated don’t let that put you off what is a brilliant title. If you can get yourself lost in it’s spellcasting and shaping mechanic then you will find a lot of fun to be had.- GameGrin

Playing The Lazaretto is a llot like playing through a lot of different haunted house games mashed together. With more supporting details and tension built up around these individual concepts, the creators may have had something actually scary, but blended all together the game feels unfocused, as if they thought just adding in this particular thing here mixed with a few jump scares would make an instant horror game. Good horror thankfully, is not that simple. There’s always a chance that later chapters will resolve all these crazy unexplained plot elements down the line, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.- GameGrin

A solid version of a classic, with some nice extras. It’s faithful to the gameplay and it looks the part, but it doesn’t do anything that we haven’t seen before. If you’re not looking for a reinvention, then it’s a good game to play, just don’t expect to be overly surprised by anything.- GameGrin

There’s a lot to like about Community Inc. Unfortunately there’s also a lot to hate. The game shows a remarkable amount of potential - a potential that should have been polished off in Early Access or in beta. As it is, that mistake means that it’s difficult to recommend the game in its current state and at its current price point. Though Community Inc will undoubtedly get much better, it’s perhaps worth waiting until it does.- GameGrin

While not having the exploration of Minecraft, this story-centric title provides an interesting experience that will give any player a few hours of entertainment. The addition of Crowd Play makes the game far more interesting than some other Telltale games.- GameGrin

Seeing Impact Winter through to the end will be a struggle in itself. It is a shame that Impact Winter is filled with both bugs and design problems as at it’s core there are the makings of a brilliant title. For now though it is one to avoid unless you are willing to deal with the problems.- GameGrin

Boasting a varied lineup of unique fighters, beautiful retro art, interesting stages, and an impressive amount of content, Rivals of Aether hits every mark hit sets out to hit. This is must-have for any brawler fans with deep, engaging combat that's easy to learn and hard as nails to master.- GameGrin

With this stimulating narrative, Lydia is a steady explorative adventure that will leave you speechless by the time you finish it. Its take on adult themes within a childish aesthetic feels familiar but it accomplishes enough to set it apart from other like-minded indie titles. It’s a solid debut release by Platonic Partnership and leaves me intrigued to see what comes next from the Finnish studio.- GameGrin

You can’t overlook the fact that Rogue Islands is currently lacking in content, but it’s to be expected whilst still in its early access stages. If the development teams behind this whimsical creation can continue on the path they’ve set out on, I’m convinced this game will achieve great things. With the recent addition of Keystone Games’ development team, the future of Rogue Islands looks set to be a bright one. Heck, I’d even go as far as saying we may be in for a rare treat; an enjoyable, Roguelite FPS.- GameGrin

For some people this is more a 7-8 game. But when its main feature is arcady without substantial main or side content. This is a game that is best appreciated as a recommendation for those looking for a short solid gameplay experience. As opposed to a game-changing, eye-opener of a title.- GameGrin

Oafmatch is not a bad game but it could've been so much more had there been a few improves to the games systems to mix up the formula. Along with the lack of real feedback to the player, Oafmatch is a hard one to recommend. It's a good match-three game just don’t expect to see this one through to the end.- GameGrin

Through excellent dialogue choices, interesting item usage, and an immersive story, The Pillars of the Earth keeps the player interested from beginning to end. Becoming invested in the game's multiple protagonists is rewarded with a complex narrative that twists and turns to play with expectations.- GameGrin

This promised so much more than it delivered. It's a good game, but it's just not as good as its predecessors. Whilst Micro Machines World Series is good fun, it doesn't offer enough to elevate it to the status of its forefathers.- GameGrin

Castle of Shikigami is a decent port of a fun but difficult bullet hell SHMUP. With some nightmarish enemy designs and plenty of replay value it’s a solid package let down by a dated appearance and its lack of extras.- GameGrin

Full disclosure, this started as a video review, but the program I used managed to mess up the recording. I’ll probably do the rest of the episodes as video reviews, if I can get things running correctly. I’m eagerly awaiting the next episode, titled The Pact, as several of the plots The Enigma began look promising, and incredibly interesting.- GameGrin

Everything in Touhou just feels pointless; the story is drab, the combat is flat and and the action elements are uninspired. I understand it's a fan made game but I really struggle to find anything to compliment here. I can even imagine fans of the series struggling to like it, which is pretty much the nail in the coffin. Honest opinion: Avoid this like the plague.- GameGrin

Rezrog captures something special in it’s gameplay and design. Though not flawless in it’s execution there is plenty here to experience and love. If you are looking for a roguelike dungeon crawler you can pick up and play for a few hours or one to sink countless hours into, this is a title for you.- GameGrin

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is a stunning and fantastic game. If you visit for the story or the wildlife, you will find yourself staying for all that this title has to offer. With a number of quests and different gameplay mechanics working together to build a world of mystery and wonder. This title is easily one of this years best surprises and I highly recommend it to anyone.- GameGrin

While some people may be looking for a similar experience to Super Meatboy, full of stressful levels that require some serious reflexes and problem solving, OVIVO offers the exact opposite. It’s a relaxing experience that doesn’t really challenge the mind or reflexes, instead it's more like weaving your way through a maze of fantastic artwork. Overall the game has nice simple mechanics and some lovely visuals and audio, however it falls short when it comes to difficulty, replayability, and price.- GameGrin
