Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires doesn’t do anything that previous games in the series haven’t already done. A lack of variety and graphical issues that should not be present in 2022 hold this back from being a must buy, even for die-hard fans.

Tennis in the Face is not going to amaze or disappoint players, it’s a serviceable physics-based puzzle game designed to provide a short, but challenging experience.

Broken Blades is a unique roguelike adventure platformer that lets you craft your own weapon to attack your enemies. Even on easy this game is quite difficult, and the lack of a map is frustrating.

Colonials Programme is a fun game with a few bumps along the way. If you soldier your way through a rough beginning, you’ll find a game that has been crafted quite well. With that being said, the beginning is a slog that is likely to lose some of the users before being given a fair chance.

Good fun to rock out while shooting your way through the levels, as long as you see past all the product placement.

While largely enjoyable, there are too many technical issues to be ignored on its quest to become the quintessential 90s 3D platformer.

The Caligula Effect 2 is a game that deserved a better budget than it got. It’s combat system is amazing and engaging, but everything else about it could be better.

Dangerous Galaxy provides enjoyment with its space-shooting action and upgrade system, but feels underwhelming overall. Ultimately, it’s a nice time, but not a great time.

I still highly recommend this game to fans of similar titles such as Twisted Metal, Destruction Derby or even Rocket League. If Auto Age: Standoff can find a regular player base and continue to update and provide content then this is a game to keep an eye on.

Pacing issues, unnecessary backtracking and some frustratingly complex puzzles mar a title that is well-written and holds a lot of charm. A competent game but one that isn't quite as good as its predecessor.

For some reason Dead In Vinland is weirdly addictive. I haven’t felt the urge to take just one more turn this strongly since the X-Com reboots. It’s deceptively easy to fall into a routine of assigning tasks, engaging in combat, managing characters’ needs, and exploring their backstories for hours on end. If nothing else, the game is good value for money. So, play it, I guess?

While WWE 2K18 does hit enough right notes for a recommendation, it still leaves something to be desired. As much as I like the style of these newer games, I miss being able to be as nonsensical as the older ones would allow. All in all, it's a toss-up for me.

Duil is a dark action platformer RPG with an engaging story and strong replay value thanks to its procedurally generated levels, but things like slow combat animations hold it back.

HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT is fun when it works, but its lack of content, polish, and dysfunctional online make it a hard sell, especially at its price point.

It’s not bad as such, just not particularly challenging. Adam Wolfe does some interesting things to keep the player involved, but fails to stimulate in the way that this kind of fiction really should.

Atlas Fallen has a great premise with pretty enjoyable old-school combat when it works. Frustrating and unreliable mechanics might be a bit of a hindrance, but it works great as a gameplay-heavy title to pick up and play.

Toll Booth Simulator is more of a farming game than a toll booth simulator, with the occasional bout of crime. It’s decently fun, but not something I’d play usually if I can help it.

Divine Knockout(DKO) had so much potential, but it falls into the trap many other multiplayer games fall into, focusing too much on one area with every other area being barely touched. It would be doing much worse if it weren’t for the visuals and fun gameplay.

A fun and solid beat ‘em up with some awesome speeder bike levels tossed in. Unfortunately, the game tries too hard to be funny and the character voices can get quite irritating.

A reasonable top down shooter from Weird Beluga. While the complete package doesn’t seem to mesh together right, it still has enough substance to tickle some pleasure senses.

It's a game that's definitely worth playing, but it could have been so much better than it really is. For all the vibrant pink and yellow, it's the game equivalent of beige.

Costing roughly the same as a box of nuggies (£3.99), Void Slayer is a reasonable arena shooter which fails to grasp the longevity tendrils of gamers. Good for short bursts but only if you’re looking to scratch a very particular itch.

While Unbox has some fun moments, I mostly enjoyed it for its mechanics and not because I found myself having all the much fun. I'm sure there are plenty of players who would find more in this title, but I just saw missed potential.

Brain Meltdown Into Despair is a beautiful game that really lives up to its name. It delivers an incredibly difficult experience that changes the way you have been controlling your game character for years. Controlling two characters at once sounds easy, but it’s not!

On the right map with the right team, you’ll encounter some fantastic PVP moments. Though tonally it’s more miss than hit, Knockout City is at least worth trying out; but without much variety of content as of review, I'd wait until the game reaches its potential.

Survival: Fountain of Youth is as realistic as a survival game can get, but you will need to put in the hours (potentially dozens of them) to reach the important milestones on your journey to find the Fountain of Youth.
