Although it shows signs of greatness and as much as I hate to say it, TNA iMPACT isn’t quite ready for primetime yet but I do have hope for the future, starting next year.

This game is a must buy for strategy fans. Koei knocked this one out of the park and hopefully Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI will lead to a Romance XII with even greater improvements to the art and gameplay.

With NHL 09, you not only get the best hockey game but by-far the best sports game available on the market right now. The ‘Be a Pro’ mode is solid and the plethora of options make this a hard game not to play.

I whole-heartedly believe that anyone with even a passing interest in the brawling genre, or the Japanses criminal underworld should pick this game up. It’s a beacon, a light in a sea of mediocre. Seriously, one of the best PS2 games to come out in a very long time.

Playing The Price Is Right in real-life might be really fun and compelling but the fun didn’t make it to the DS version, at all.

A buy to whoever felt intimidated by NHL 09’s approach in terms of game modes and controls. For the hardcore hockey fan...it’s hard to recommend but it deserves a good look.

Of course, NHL 2K9 isn’t a perfect game and isn’t the best looking game but it does capture what we want to see, a playable and fun sport game on a console that definitely needs more than mini-games and Mario games.

What is most surprising about this game is how it takes such simple concepts and makes them their own and have them work in a perfect mesh of puzzle and musical rhythm.

Fantastic game, but it has times which are boring and they feel like a total chore to get through, but once you do get past those in the game the game becomes something unique, special and is a worth while must buy for any PC fan.

While there’s a new Fight Night down the pipes, EA is shining the spotlight on Facebreaker, their latest title in a new line of ‘EA Freestyle’ sports games. It’s a solid brawler that’s easy to get in to, but ultimately it’s only as well-known as it is because of its budget – not its quality.

It’s obviously not a game that will sell millions but it’s one of these games that need to be tried out at least once in your life. And since EA (apparently) won’t be releasing this game every year, it’s good to see how it has evolved since Head Coach 06.

You’ll need to forget everything you know about accelerating/moving with the left stick and blasting away with the right – Shred Nebula is more technical than Geometry Wars, but nowhere near as addictive.

This is a great action role playing game which will appeal to fans of Japanese RPG gamers and Western RPG Gamers and for a title like this from a traditional Japanese RPG company that is a rare thing. So buy this game if you like action RPG’s, RPG’s or action games.

If you loved the first one, this sequel will sure keep you busy and entertained for a long time. Still on the fence? Rent it but give it a serious look this time around, it’s a far better game.

The whole thrill of stealth action is the ability to outsmart your opponent. So what does Vampire Rain do? It gives you singular, trial and error paths that has about as much variety as a prison meal.

The game appears to be confused if it is an arcade title and if it is, make it fun by have us fishing some rare and cooler fish, other then what they have in the game and if they wanted a simulation, why the lame controls, bad motion controls and poor gameplay overall. This is not even a rental, stay far away from it.

While I can’t recommend DFD to adults who’ve experienced more advanced RTS’s out there, if you’ve got a young gamer in your life and you’re looking to introduce them to the world outside of platformers and kart racers, Defendin’ De Penguin is a good way to go.

Penumbra: Requiem is a genuinely spooky game and this is mostly due to the excellent sound effects and so if you enjoy being scared this is a great game for that, and with the budget price the game is worthy buying for most adventure game fans.

The game’s difficulty will frustrate you at times but if you are looking for a game to play with friends, it’s hard to not recommend Castle Crashers. The length of the game is perfect for an Arcade title and the customization of characters also gives the game a lot more depth. It is unfortunate that problems exist online, but considering this game can still be enjoyed with up to four people on one console, you’re still getting your MS points worth.

If you’re still playing Tiger 06 or 07, you should seriously consider upgrading to this one. The variety of modes, the tweaked thumb-stick control and the addition of EA GamerNet to offline and online play adds an excellent replay value to your virtual golfing experience by giving you a far more complete game.

The game is not only another success story for EA on the Wii this year but for the first time, a Wii version should be seriously considered when looking for the best golfing experience despite the fact that it’s the less pretty of all the console versions out there.

Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli feels like a Ferrari diorama. Everything is presented with class, respect and little show-boating. There is no way any racing fan (especially the Ferrari lovers) should avoid this game or at least not giving it a shot but do not go in with high expectations.

If you’re new to the series, love all things Mario, or are just curious about how the great game of baseball is given a new twist in the Mushroom Kingdom, then by all means, give "Mario Super Sluggers" a chance, as it does offer some great fun in both multiplayer and single player games. However, if you’ve already got "Mario Superstar Baseball" for the Gamecube, the Wii version just doesn’t add enough to warrant a purchase outright.

While not perfect, for its price, indie roots and throw back to the movie “Tron”, this is a must buy for action gamers.
