Codemasters tries to bring its Operation Flashpoint series into different territory by giving Red River a cinematic feel and accelerated gameplay mechanics that its predecessors didn't have. It doesn't fail completely as this new entry is serviceable enough for those who never got around to playing a single entry in the franchise. As for the hardcore fans, well, they are experienced enough to get accustomed to things, but that doesn't mean they'll be happy about it.

In general, everything on the game has been kept to a bare minimum putting all the money on a less daunting experience for anyone who wants to play a basketball game, which is good for some but not for everyone, without caring about what the hardcore next-gen basketball players really want. NBA 09: The Inside is the perfect game for you… until you get the hunger for more.

If you’ve been just craving a snowboarding game for a while now, SWS is worth a shot, but only because it’s the only gig in town. It’s not a bad title, by any means, but it lacks what made games like SSX and Amped so great, which is a focus on the sport itself.

Like the movie, AVATAR is an ambitious game, mixing elements from varying genres with the ultimate goal of delivering a one-of-a-kind experience. Sadly, the game fails to find its own identity, barely managing to keep up interest and landing just north of the boring line. On the bright side, compared to other movie videogame adaptations like Wanted: Weapons of Fate or X-Men Origins: Wolverine, James Cameron’s AVATAR: The Videogame isn’t too shabby.

Despite its negatives, MySims SkyHeroes does a good job at keeping the young and/or inexperienced player interested. Its solid level of customization and intuitive flight combat mechanics make it a worth checking out, but not at the current price point.

If you enjoyed the first and are willing to work around some bugs and issues, the game is very fun and a worthwhile experience. A must buy for first person fans who like a touch of role playing in their games but this is no "Fallout 3."

With a forgettable story, bland characters and a huge sense of déjà-vu, Namco’s re-envisioning of its precious Dead to Rights franchise manages to keep you afloat, but never elevates your level of excitement beyond just treading water.

Despite a few hidden gems, Wii Party doesn't do anything special to stand-out in the mini-game compilation realm, although it is better than most of "the rest" out there.

For those who are looking for a grossly engaging and absorbing challenge, you won’t find that here. It is a fine first release in North America, so here’s hoping that if a sequel is in the cards, more effort is put into giving everyone a more expansive experience.

If you are a survival horror fan or just a Silent Hill fan you will enjoy this game and it would be worth the buy, but it is not a scary game, at least for me. If you are new to the Silent Hill franchise, just rent this one as it is not a good starter for the series. If you want to be scared, Dead Space is your best bet or Siren on the PS3.

I won't lie. If Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars was simply known as Shadow Wars, I highly doubt someone would pick it up. Still, the offering is quite giving, deep and challenging enough to keep strategy gamers busy for a while.

Fans may struggle with the genre shift, but Sacred Citadel is exactly what it set out to be: A pick-up-and-play side-scroller where button-mashing trumps anything resembling narrative depth.

When I first heard of Legendary I was honestly very excited for the concept of shooting mythological creatures and monsters with guns because it is a rare concept. The final product has me on the fence with is it a worth while game to recommend for first person shooter nuts like me, or to leave it be and forget you ever saw it. As a person who enjoys Clive Barker’s Jericho for its unique first person shooter story and gameplay mechanics I would say this is an easy rental.

It's friendly, somewhat addictive and easy to play. I don't think its worth the console upgrade if you're still feeding Fido on your good old DS though...unless you're REALLY into cats.

Boggle is really fun and addictive to play if you’re into word puzzles. If not, maybe spending $10 on it is not going to be your best purchase since it has nothing of an exciting game. The multiplayer component does add something but it’s certainly the least appealing game of all six titles currently available. Peggy Hill would sure buy it…that’s if Hank lets her.

Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli feels like a Ferrari diorama. Everything is presented with class, respect and little show-boating. There is no way any racing fan (especially the Ferrari lovers) should avoid this game or at least not giving it a shot but do not go in with high expectations.

While it won’t win huge awards, The Wheelman remains a fun game to experience. The saddest part of all is that Midway’s economic problems have clearly hampered the development of the game. It feels unfinished, unpolished and compressed into its simplest form. When you go to the store to buy it or rent it, just don’t expect to be blown away and it won’t hurt your feelings.

A weekend rental at best due to the game being wildly unbalanced and not a fun game but just a mediocre title. If it is patched and it’s balancing and multiplayer issues are addressed it might be worth a second look. Hopefully EA will return to the fold and give us another great game like Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, an awesome Role Playing Game that I would love to see a similar game released this generation.

If you're a Kingdom hearts fan, then I recommend it as a filler to give you a fresh KH injection. The story work was at times great, other times sloppy with the dialogue, and overall they could have brought it a but further than they did.

Backbreaker brings the fun first and opens up a door for the future. For a freshman effort, the final result isn’t perfect but it’s far from being boring. And please, don’t get this game with the intention of skipping Madden. This isn’t a Madden killer…at least, not yet.

If you are a fan of the Crysis franchise, though, you may still find elements to enjoy about the game, but if you seek to find a totally new FPS experience or even just a breath of fresh air, you will be very disappointed with Crysis 3. It may not be the best in the series or live up to its full potential, but it remains an enjoyable game nonetheless.

In the end the price of this mission pack will turn away those players who want much more bang for their buck and I cannot recommend the game to those who just play single player games, but just those who play multiplayer only or both multiplayer and single player games.
